  1. Thanks to both of you! I followed your instructions and then tested my alt to make sure everything was okay. It all worked out <3
  2. I know I'm necro'ing this, but this thread is the first thing that pops up when I google roommate permissions. I have a question about this last part -- what if I want them to have the ability to decorate, but I don't want them to be able to touch or move my stuff? My land is set to my group and under objects, all of the items on my land are set to group. Does that mean a roommate would be able to move them? Would I need to take everything down and re-rez it as owner, instead of group?

    Selling Gatchas

Is that what most gatcha sellers do? Or do they usually only sell on one or the other?
  4. What is your price range and desired size/LI?

    Selling Gatchas

Is it possible to sell Gatchas at a yardsale that you have listed in the Marketplace? If so, how do you do it? TIA
  6. Since furries aren’t a protected class in the United States, should they be allowed to be discriminated against in Second Life? (rhetorical)
  7. That tends to happen when you vomit what you've scrambled to learn in just a few minutes on the internet in order to look like an expert.
  8. Half Deer has some adorable book clutter on the 50L sale today. Three colors, two styles - all for 50L <3 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Eternal Dream/35/91/22
  9. My home is looking like a Trompe Loeil advertisement.
  10. Before anyone jumps one me, I'm not going to say SL is a game. That said, there are some interesting moves going on in gaming that do show a shift in how they are marketing and making money. One is to release a game that is free to play, but give you perks for membership. (Like SL already does). However, in many of these other games, the perks are much more substantial. In Elder Scrolls Online, there is something called a crafting bag. Any time you pick up a crafting material (which there are thousands of), it goes to a special limitless bag. This alone saves the player from having their main bag get full and have to play the inventory shuffle every few minutes. I'm pointing out Elder Scrolls in particular, because 1. They seem to be doing pretty well and 2. They have a really heavy emphasis on making money even though the game has no subscription (between the membership perks and item store) - Access to ALL DLC - Crafting Bag - Double Bank space - Extra home furniture space - Extra transmute crystal space - Dyes - 10% bonus leveling xp, crafting xp, gold, armor research My point is that it's easy to see with so many perks why people would be more easily drawn to sign up for the membership. As much as many of you hate Second Life being in any way related to gaming, I honestly think they should take a look at what some of these big MMOs are doing to generate revenue. (For the record, I do not think ESO is completely ethical. Their participation in the loot crate field is really disappointing. But that's for another topic. And ethical or not, it is still a source of money)
  11. Working on displaying another Gatcha collection (Half Moon Birbies). This dude needs his cat card revoked.
  12. Gage, sorry to hear it isn't working out for you. I know it must be disheartening to put that much time into something. Thank you for sharing your experience though, I really hope it helps others. On top of all the other troubles you mention, you didn't even make it to the time consuming issues that come with tenants and all the customer service that goes into that. SL can be tricky, and I can only imagine how often land managers are contacted with issues renters face. To me, I'd rather do something irl to make a few bucks to spend on lindens than to deal with the incredible amount of time that goes into things like these businesses.
  13. Is that supposed to be fire? At least you were kind enough to put it out I put up a kitty slideshow and the start of a wierd Gotcha collection
  14. Have you ever been to New Orleans? We have some cool voodoo history/culture here
  15. Oh. My. God..... and I missed this???!! This makes my day
  16. Oh, sorry I missed you! Thank you <3 Work in progress
  17. I think Billi has set a record for possibly offending the most people in one thread: liberals, gays, minorities, jews... did I miss anyone? This thread is long.
  18. I have an Atheist friend who is married to a Buddhist. Their child goes to a Christian school. They have some interesting conversations <3 When the kid comes home and asks questions, they try to be as objective as possible and let her make her own conclusions. In the end, she tends to pick and choose the good parts from all.
  19. Thank you so much for the advice, everyone! Someone was even kind enough to stop by and help me. It was very useful watching him edit the terrain. This is where I'm at, progress wise. I'm trying to be brave and work on it for practice, using your tips. I even let my neighbor know that I was working on it, and to let me know if it was an eyesore, since she lives across from me.
  20. The vibe I'm going for is tranquil and nature, with some girly touches like pink, flowers, and little animals. In the current setup, I'm using some items from Half Deer and Trompe Loeil -- so you can kind of get a sense of my style. I'm iffy on the fence... I'm considering switching it to a wood color, deleting it, or replacing it with some landscaping. I also have some cool moss stuff I can put on a fence if I find a replacement. What I would like in the middle, under the three trees, is maybe a fire pit or camp fire with some really casual seating like blankets, pillows.. that sort of thing or maybe even some sort of platform or gazebo type thing. Does anyone have any recommendations for particular items or even just their own suggestions for what might look cool?
  21. Taking a break from home decor. Just picked up this cool swing from Trompe Loeil <3
