  1. Wear Lelutka's HUD, go to the HD tab, switch to the HD lips (icons should be obvious what is what), press clear above 6 default presets. It should be enough, but if it's not then switch to the HD eyeshadow tab and clear both layers then.
  2. Not a very popular suggestion, but easiest way to lower avatar related costs would be stop making new alts (and upgrading old ones). I know lots and lots of people have a very severe altoholism, though, and the amount of full upgraded 1-7 days old avatars with good old "coming back after a long break" in their profile is rather large, so it doesn't help. If not then, then yeah, gotta keep an eye on sales. Big one next month as every year, and usual weekend sales. I'd still suggest not trying to keep up with 2-3 (or more) alts and their wardrobes if the budget is an issue. Even weekend sales won't be easy if a few 120-150L$ outfits (assuming two pieces for 60-75) on each will have to be bought multiple times.
  3. Based on Lucia's stats there's 142 Belleza X curvy and 116 classic versions found in the wilds so far, in 2.5 weeks since release. I've barely seen bloggers using it as well, aside of its release window. Unless there will be a non stop flow of quality (non FP template recolors) releases soon, then I see no reason it would pick up the pace given the price, current bugs (Knowing belleza fixing them might take years. Literally.) and bodies market oversaturation. It's not 2014-2016 anymore, when Venus was among first "current gen" mesh bodies and then Freya was the 1st decent curvy/thick body out of there (Not sure when Slink Hourglass was released, but I wouldn't put it into the same line as Freya, X Curvy, Reborn and Kupra). Now there's Reborn, which is closing 10k on the stats list, Legacy which can get thick enough and Kupra's numbers are still pretty high, even if it's very much dying. I would imagine all bodies creators check "what's up" with the market, recent releases/updates and so on, but they all still tend to do their own thing regardless without looking at others. Good examples of it (or bad ones, rather) are everywhere. From bad marketing and awful release windows (see Kalhene last year and Prima this year), to prices and awful communication (Belleza), to just living in their own bubble (Legacy and Maitreya). As much as I don't care about Reborn (and all overly curvy bodies) personally, I think they actually got more things right, than wrong, so this update just continues the trend.
  4. All Lelutka default skins starting with the first Evo heads are their own and there's no body skins in the exact same tone. I do believe they come with neck fade built in so they should match to the similar tones from other designers, but can't say I've used them even once. And yeah, I agree, it did/does look like the UV issue. Same will happen on maitreya with neck fit in the 2nd position/option which is needed for older heads that don't use universal neck fit (old catwa ones, lelutka origins and I think genus too).
  5. I always inspect what I buy, so I never buy retextured FP templates. If you/someone else does, good for you/them, but it's a personal preference. I do my best to support original work and designs. In case if something looks odd and I don't know the creator well, and if their store is full of random items without any common style or direction, then I often check sites with 3D models to see if I see those available there. And I very often do find them there. No naming and shaming, but it's not just some random stores on the MP, but also quite a number of stores with large in-world stores that were around for years that do that. Can't catch them all, of course, some edit/redo those free/cheap models from turbosquid a bit so it's not always obvious, but one can try to. So not sure what you were trying to say by quoting a very little part of my message completely out of context, when it (context) was about the amount of work that goes into creating meshes even if I don't agree about pricing on some them, *assuming* it's not another FP template, because then there's only a texturing work (if that) to do.
  6. I shop a lot. Like a LOT. Lots of landscape stuff, furniture, decor, and some clothing. So I try to keep some kind of a system, especially for clothing. 1. (And most important) Will I use it right now or very soon? If yes, I buy it. 2. Is it from one of my favorite creators? If yes, in most cases I still buy it. 3. If 1 and 2 are "no", then: Does this creator has weekend sales and if not, then at least black friday/store's bday ones? If yes, then demos/notes (if it's furniture/landscape stuff) they go into "Yearly sales" and "Weekend sales" folders. If not, it goes to a "maybe" folder. I keep up with all big shopping events and sales anyway so I almost never miss said sales, so if it's not something really amazing or stuff I want right now, I can wait. And in my personal opinion some things are just not worth the asking price (valid for rl too, but we are talking about sl here). Yes yes, it's still work to create meshes, textures, to rig them (Assuming it's not FP template, which I never buy.), but some are just not good enough for 750-900L$ outfit (assuming 3 pieces for 250-300 each). There's a lot of generic things, lots of poor texturing, lots of more decent things that are sadly just repeats of "what I already have 30 of". Might be worth for new users that are just building their wardrobes and need some variety, but much less so for those who've been around for a while. I also feel like lots of those creators are very much aiming at weekend sales from the start. I've seen some rather generic/simple outfits split up to 4-5 pieces for 250 each for one color. Chances are not many people are going to buy those for that price, but for 60-75/per it's within 250-350 range and that's "fine". Well, I'm glad there are mostly reasonable creators that don't think the same. For example one of the biggest and most known landscape creators had 50% off release weekend sales in the last years (he didn't made anything new for a while sadly). All customers who were late to know about it had to pay the full price. And more usual sales with 50% discount at specific dates, like black friday, are very common. You could argue digital goods don't lose in quality/value much. Not counting non mesh to mesh or pre-bento>bento heads/tails/wings/etc changes SL had at some point. At least compared to, say, PC hardware. Which just gets outclassed with each new generation, so obviously older gens lose their value over time. But there is other digital product - games. Last few generations some publishers sell their games at 30% discount just a few months after release, up to 70% off in a year and sometimes it just hits over 90% after a few years.
  7. That I can't say I remember very well, my experience with default SL viewer didn't last long, however I'm still pretty sure it wasn't on by default there. But for clarification: finding where to enable it in the FS' preferences. I play games for quite a lot longer than 30 years. I do remember it being an option in some ancient games and one could always try to edit games files to remap the controls if it wasn't. Thankfully later on it became the default option for most games after Half-Life started the trend. Very much this, but I would also add it's not always other way around for the left handed people either. My rl friend I know for pretty much my entire life is left handed and still uses WASD and mouse with his right hand. Picking on wording? Okay. But yeah, I suppose I didn't include those who play regular games using their dance pads either, or those who can't use hands at all and use the eye tracking hardware among some other specific cases. They are gamers too after all, my bad.
  8. Finding how to enable WASD in preferences was among first (if not the first) things I did in SL 10 years ago. Never liked arrows for movement even back when it was a thing for games too. But yeah, there's a big difference between the gamers crowd and people who just don't know better and/or got used to something and don't wish to change.
  9. Oh no, people can have a different opinion. Creators are free to sell their product for any price their want. And people are free to call it cheap, expensive or greedy. Like they are free to call it good quality or a bad quality depending on their preferences and needs. You're free to disagree with them and have own opinion, of course. But since Then opinions of those who have zero use for any extra colors included are invalid. /s So good for you that you'll save money, but in my case it will be at best ~200L$ more expensive, and sometimes ~700L$ more expensive if I were to purchase them at full price. I'm all for supporting creators and doing so for years, and there are stores (mostly not clothing, but landscape stuff as I build a lot) where I have every or nearly every single creation they've made not counting some ancient non mesh stuff. But sudden increase from ~300 to ~1000 (or more) if I'd need it for more than one body is exactly what I call greed. And no, those "perks" with extra colors are no good substitute for me. But yeah, if they'll still separate colors for the weekend sales later it'll be fun. I'd actually love some of them try and actually put up like 60 vendors (6 bodies x10 colors each) for the said sales, it would be hilarious. 120 if it's a top/bottom that are sold separately, which is usually the case.
  10. Yeah, so it would be 1.5k-2.5k for one color in two body sizes I might need. Versus normal/current 300-400 on average. Safe to say that even not caring about SL budget much I won't be buying (almost) any of those and go shop at places that provide alternatives to such pricing model. Would be interesting to see how those "rig packs" will be priced for the weekends sales too. If one body pack for the usual weekend 60-75L$, then it's exactly what those creators who will go with that new model will get from me. Or those creators will go full greed and just recycle older single colors releases over and over again? I suppose we'll see.
  11. Problem 1: I don't use other colors other than black and sometimes (rarely) white, except for denim where I go for the classic blue often, so it's still 200L$ more for absolutely nothing of a value to me. Now I don't really care about SL budget much and just tend to grab what I like, but if it'll become a trend then eventually it'll be tens of thousands spent for absolutely nothing. Problem 2: I use more than one body. I've swapped to Legacy when they finally fixed high altitude problems for the most part, but still use Maitreya for some RP/fantasy outfits and looks as it's easier to find and combine different outfits for it. That means every single "single rig fatpack" I'd buy for Legacy will be excluded from options for those RP/fantasy outfits outfits combinations, unless I'd pay double for it (and 700L$ more compared to before). So yeah, for some people myself included there's zero upside in that trend. Unless more of those single-body fatpacks would become mod from creators that used to do no-mod. In which case I suppose it's fine for certain outfits. And no, that's not a good way to check for what body people are buying from as unpacked scripts that allow to choose body versions can (and do) dial "home" with such information already, unless someone would rezz them in a no-scripts sandbox. I'm sure some people still press "unpack all", but I would guess most unpack for exactly body (bodies) they use to not delete not needed sizes, and thus providing the data.
  12. I'm in the "only need one color" camp. I almost never buy fatpacks unless it's something really amazing and fatpack comes with mod rights, while singles don't. Or if a fatpack has some extra options that are tempting enough, which is very rare as most fatpacks are just lots of colors. And like Ayashe I also experiment a lot with outfits, and I have some RP/fantasy outfits where I wear plenty of random sizes together. Just earlier today I had to use maitreya sized ankle boots to squeeze them into legacy sized pants without clipping, while when it's both maitreya or legacy sizes it's pretty much unusable. So depending on a creator and clothing piece I might still get some of those, but will do my best to avoid such packs. I know it's a lot of work to rig for a few mesh bodies, but I'd rather have creator drop less popular bodies than still rig for 10 and sell single rig packs.
  13. I think primary competition for Belleza is Reborn now, and to get remaining Freya users back instead of waiting until they'd swap to Reborn/Legacy too, like the rest. And yeah, forums are a very tiny minority. I still don't see many mod Reborn versions worn even if it's available, same for the Freya/Jake ever since they got their last update and mod version included. I'm not even sure the V is important for too many either. Aside of building my place as usual and shopping I'm often around kinky/fetishy places. Now its not random sex places, but it's still adult activities that often involve it with plenty of naked people around. I'd say even 1/20 doesn't wear/use V, sensations or any other brand. It's not a budget issue for those people too, kinky toys are not cheap either. Either way, that poster very much reminds of of a certain pro-belleza, pro-mod, pro-sex one from before. It was no use to bring up any points about anything. So I won't bother. Just going to wait and see the numbers when they show up on Lucia's list. Event being busy and hype is all good, but then again I went there twice to grab demos and then buy some stuff too, and I have zero intentions to get Gen X now. Also at the time of writing (2:30AM SLT) event already has 6 people in Belleza sim. Peak hours in 9-10 probably gonna get busy, but considering it's not even full 4 days since it's open... not really that great. Hentai fair was packed 24/7 for a week, for example.
  14. And that will help with absolutely nothing. You can edit objects on the other parcels within the same region. Like others said, giving rights to edit your objects is all on you. Yes, people being jerks and idiots as usual, nothing new about it. Good luck with your "report", which will get you the usual "LL doesn't get involved in disputes between Residents" reply. Given it was only 4k sqm parcel consider it a valuable lesson for the future in case you'd go bigger. There's a reason why no one in SL has rights to edit my objects even if my whole region is already private access only as is, and it's exactly that one.
  15. Did you try to move viewers/cache to another SSD? If not, then it could be worth testing. Or even some old HDD if you still have those around, it'll be slow and painful, but it'll do for a test.
  16. Yeah, it's pretty much that kind of a workaround. Easiest would be getting any relaxed hands animation from other bodies that don't have such problem. Demos should work too, so no need to buy another body just to get it. Then need any script that plays animation on loop, drop it into a prim along with animation, attach prim to any HUD spot and just drag it off screen. Other workaround would be to drop same animation from the other body into an AO and put it into sits (not ground sits), then enable AO's force-sit function so it would play that animation even if you sit on the furniture. I think 1st workaround is better, with only downside it using 1 attachment spot at all times.
  17. Other problem with animesh is 1 (2 for the premiums) limit. There's a lot of fun animesh things now, so especially with limit of 1 it would be a choice of either not using said fun things or not using a tail/ears.
  18. I'll test more later, but as far as I can tell nothing was done with hands animations at all. Which is as fun as it is sad, because it's broken ever since their delayed bento update (spring 2018) to the last line of bodies. The "animate" side does animate hands, but uses priority 5 animations, so it'll override literally any bento AO stand as they use P3 or P4. And the "pose" side seems to be exactly how it was on their older line of bodies, i.e. an actual pose without loop, so if it stops it stops, and everyone else will see the infamous starfish posed hands. It's less of an issue if someone is just standing and uses bento AO/pose (as everyone should), but sitting on the furniture without built-in bento hands animation will look as awful as it does on their older bodies. There's a couple workarounds for that, but it shouldn't be needed, especially when it's exactly the same issue as they had for over 4.5 years on their 4 last gen bodies. That issue aside - very decent bodies. Curvy one is too much for me, so I didn't play with sliders much, seems to be like a Reborn with not as weird butt. Classic is very much what I'd want to see from Maitreya if she'll make another body. Pretty smooth, better shoulders, better and more natural breasts shape. It's like a Maitreya got a facelift (and a buttlift along with it). I didn't like nipples at all, though. 1st/default option is almost flat. Not as flat as on Reborn's Juicy boobs addon (there it's mostly fine and not as visible), but still flat, 2nd (hard) is too much for the natural/everyday look, so is the 3rd (puffy). I don't really care how much it costs or about the mod/light versions, but it's a pass for me, at least for a while. Lack of clothing for now, especially the kind I'd wear, hands issue (and the fact creator didn't listen at all it seems), flat nipples, fact that classic one might see no support given market's focus on thick bodies for 2 years already, and Belleza being Belleza. Maybe later, maybe not.
  19. Unpacker HUDs that allow to unpack individual body sizes actually do send such information to a creator. There has been a minor drama on flickr a while ago about how it does breach the privacy and what not. Now whenever creators actually use this information is another question. Still a bad deal for the most who wear more than one body. Violent Seduction does that ever since she started to rig for Legacy/perky and later Reborn. Her clothing aside of shoes (those include all sizes) are 250L$ per color per body version. A little bit cheaper than average 300-400L$, but not really all that much. Fatpacks of hers have all colors/sizes, and usually sold 50% on release event, but I personally never buy any fatpacks as I have no use for all those colors. It also leaves a very bad feeling in case of someone decided to change bodies at some point after already buying a lot of clothes for the previous body. The "Oh, I have to buy exact same clothing again even if I already have it." is a good way to push people to buy from creators that provide all sizes and known to update older stuff with new body sizes. Reborn is actively phasing out Kupra. Last few tmes I went to check Lucia Nightfire's body data, Kupra had a negative trend in the last 24h (at the time of checking) and looks very much dead, while Reborn does remain 2nd most trending body (1st is still Maitreya). We'll see if/how Gen X Curvy gonna change it, but if it's gonna stick around then I expect Reborn slowing down quite a lot, and it'll completely kill what's left of Kupra's market.
  20. Option 1, which works for all bodies: copy body over and over again to use a new copy with each outfit, adjust alpha cuts and other options to your needs on each new copy and just save an outfit via viewer's tools. Option 2: check an alpha tab, adjust alpha cuts to your needs, press import at the bottom (at the place where you can rezz, as it rezzes a prim). Rename it as you want and take. It'll go into your objects folder. Each time you'll add/wear this prim now it'll auto-hide it exactly how it was when you've imported it. Option 3, if you have too much time on your hands: make manual alpha layers for each clothing piece that doesn't have them already and/or doesn't come with already built-in auto-hide, then save together with clothes you made them for as an outfit via viewer's tools.
  21. Pretty much this. And to add to it, freya is already dropped by most creators that don't rig for many bodies as it is. And some who are still trying to support more bodies do try some new selling models, like Salt and Pepper is now attempting to sell all colors packs for 500L$, but those are separated by body sizes. Don't think it'll work out in the current state, however, as she also separated regular and perky/petite/push-up versions, but that's another story. Then there are stores that "rig for every existing body possible". I've seen a few of those on the Gen X ad with stores that will be on their event. Not sure if those outsource rigging (I don't count retextured full perm templates obviously), but I can't imagine the workload some of they might have if they do all the rigging on their own. In some cases there's like 15+ fits included. Most interesting will be to see which bodies are going to stick in the releases of creators that rig only for a few bodies. There's a great amount of usual maitreya/legacy/reborn now, but also more and more of legacy/reborn only combination. Those who didn't drop petite/perky versions will probably do so now, but those who already did... I have no idea. That's assuming Gen X is going to be as popular as Reborn, of course. ---- And yeah, I think releasing two bodies at the same time is a big mistake on belleza part. Seems like they got the PR part right this time, not sure about the body quality yet aside of pictures, but seems like it's fine (just most curious if they've fixed starfish fingers on those bodies or it's still the same), but releasing thin and thick bodies together in already oversatured market... is just asking for one of them to be dropped before it's even out. Given market and flickr trends I expect curvy/thick one to be the popular one and normal/thin to be dropped.
  22. Sure, not the best idea. But how about actually loading horses in your trailer since, you know, they are already there. If you choose to not pick them, it's on you. Just like running SL and/or games on lowest settings pretty much. User's choice to "not find" extra settings and not utilize their hardware. Which I have no problem with, it's their SL and hardware. Might as well disable basic shaders, also an option. It'll lower hardware usage by a bit more too. But claiming that downgrading your SL/gaming experience by "saving" hardware and not actually utilizing it is silly in my opinion (which I don't ask anyone to agree with). Depends what do you see by hardware limits pushing. Provided operational specs are not its limits no matter if you want to believe they are. Overlocking past those is an actual pushing. Which I also do for decades, but while I do it, I'd never suggest that to someone as it actually will reduce hardware's lifespan. And in cases where user is not very experienced with OC they will most likely damage their hardware and lose warranty as well.
  23. Must be difficult to live when you get irritated on such things and how people use their hardware. Like I've said hardware is designed to run 24/7 at provided capability for its expected lifecycle and that cycle is always within warranty period. At least in my country it is. I've had GPUs failing a week or two before their 3 years warranty ran out and had them refunded completely. And like I've also said later, taking a good care of your hardware might prolong its lifespan a lot. I still have ancient 2500K machine as my home server running 24/7 since Sandy Bridge CPUs were out. That's over a decade. And that heavily depends on your intended use, how long you take between upgrades and, mostly importantly, budget. If you get new hardware once a decade and want to get the most of it, then not pushing it too hard is a very good idea. If you upgrade every 1-3 years anyway, then honestly it doesn't matter. CPUs and GPUs warranty where I live are 3 years, RAM is 5, PSUs between 3 and 5 depending on their rating, SSDs 1-3 depending on the brand. Unless you overvolt it beyong its specs, it won't fail before warranty runs out. And even if it does in a year, then you won a new gen hardware, because usually last gen one is not available already by then. And again, if you get a capable hardware and want to use software (SL, games etc) on lowest settings to avoid pushing it to its actual capabilities, it's up to you. But no need to pretend it's how it was intended to be used either. Your money, your hardware and your choice if you do, of course, but it's like buying a car and driving it 5km/h, because it's "safer" and will prolong car's lifespan. And yeah, if you think it's "overworking" it, then it's in your head and nowhere else.
  24. Yeah, manufacturers trying to make more money again and alter warranty rules in a way it benefits them and not customers. Never happened before, nope. Next "argument"? Although it's already way into off topic anyway in our previous messages too; and can't say I care much to prove something to someone known for arguing for the sake of arguing all the time.
  25. I'm not, just a PC/hardware enthusiast. But neither are you, not that it matters. PC hardware/components are, in fact, designed to run at provided capacity 24/7/365 for its expected lifetime, which does vary depending on what part it is, but always within the warranty period. If it fails until warranty runs out while being used in its full capacity and during normal conditions that fit provided specifications for voltage, temperature and so on, then it's expected failure rate. You will likely get more out of your hardware if you don't push it into 100% (or more in case with OC) 24/7 mode, never said it's not a thing, however with the modern hardware by the time it gets bad through natural 100% usage it's already outdated by a few generations anyway. Even serious overclocking, while shortens hardware lifespan considerably, still doesn't matter much. Out of hundreds CPUs I've overclocked over the decades only one did show signs of degradation after being run at nearly 2GHz above default specs 24/7 for 6 years in a row. Won't even bother to comment on apples vs oranges part after it. Cars, aircraft and many other things are designed the way they are, so are PCs. No point to compare. Energy and money saving is its own topic too, and it's up to each person if they care enough to reduce LOD in SL, disable shadows, ALM, put 32m draw range and to also run games on lowest settings on order to save money on expensive PC components and energy bills. I, personally, don't care, as it's my hobby.
