Most male avatar users seem to be too lazy to care for their apperance or don't want to pay for it. Its totally possible to create a beautiful male avatar. They are not generally of lower quality than female avatars. I have both, a male and a female avatar.
  2. Mesh bodies and other mesh body parts (most popular: heads). Not skins or complete avatars. So your friend gave you a mesh body and you struggle with it? What brand is it from? Did you read the notecard it came with? If you got no hand or arms, it sounds like you have some parts of the body invisible, which can be done and undone with the HUD that came with the body.
  3. Well... its maybe not intentional in the sense of planning to bump into people and push them around, but you willfully accept that this will happen a lot, if you constantly derender everyone. And maybe its because the build up to all of this was a whole paragraph about how other people are basically the worst part of Second Life, but this peeve gives up an entitled vibe. I can easily imagine someone having the peeve for people carelessly walking and soveing everyone around, which would lead to them "making a song and dance about it".
  4. Where is the connection to serious, real science? All zodiacs are completely made up by humanity. Its not like, for example, gravity, which is there, no matter if a human believes in it or not. It is not messureable, can't be proven false. I see zodiac signs and astrology on an equal level to religion. Made in a time, when people had limited abilities to explain what was around them and with each culture coming up with their own variation over time. The chinese zodiac gives you an animal and an element and thats also supposed to mean something. So who got it right? Combine that with humans tendencies to see patterns in anything and wanting to believe and -boom- you "see" yourself in a zodiac.
  5. I don't believe in zodiac signs and my preference for houseboats is a good reason to continue it like that.
  6. I don't know how quickly it updates but you could check your dashboard, under Land Manager>Linden Home, to see if it still lists something or gives you the option to chose a new home.
  7. No, not the houseboats. This one is located in Cayo Lejano. The next rez zone for boats is two sims away at the lighthouse in Noggin Light.
  8. Absolutly. I'm living on the houseboat island in the north and the upcoming sims there would close the empty space to the east of my place.
  9. I haven't had problems so far. I have a decent performance being in my house and was able to sail across Belli yesterday. So it doesn't seem to hit everyone equally.
  10. I'm purely making my statements based on what you write here. This does not require an indepth knowledge of you as a person. If you write in an angry manner and throw wild accusations of people being anti-american and nazis around, that speaks for itself. And here you go again, acting all though, telling the world what a badass you are and bragg about how toxic you could be. Should I be impressed by your edgyness? "You don't know me. You are so judgemental" -> Starts giving armchair psychology lessons. So you feel that I'm attacking you by bringing myself in a "superior position", because I pointed out, you were defending your position by calling "some" participants in this thread Nazis? There is nothing about superiorty to simply point out, what you willingly wrote. If anything, I admit to taunting you to show us your supposed levels of venom, which you are so proud of. Didn't you once also brag about, how you could destroy people? Now come on, show something.
  11. A line that has been scrapped for good reasons.
  12. Again, you or anyone can claim whatever they want. That is indeed nothing that can be taken away from you. But what you can't demand is that everyone else isn't going to treat you as the village idiot. Actually in order to be from somewhere, you have to have been there at least once. Just to make that clear. Nobody is denying you that great, great, great grandfather either. You can tell people all you want that your ancestors came from this or that place 250 years ago. What people do find annoying is adoption of a foreign identity out of novelty and parading it around, like its a purchasable gimmick. Especially when this ignorance leads to ameri-splaning to a native what their identity is about. You know who is the country known for being overly proud and patriotic? I'll give you a minute to think about that glashouse. You sound like you have a lot of internalized insecurites regarding the USA. You are the one being arrogant and entitled. And if someone is against you, its anti-americanism. If anything and anyone is so irrelevant (as you often like to claim), why are you always so angry and aggressive? Aren't you always eager to point out how superior and mighty you are? So why do you even get so worked up about someone saying "No"? All I see is an angry toddler stomping their foot on the ground. Please, go full Godwin. You are a bold one, you don't need to hide it in small caption. Make a full *****storm on fire out of it. Your accid is already leaking in at least one other thread, so you can just go all in and blow this one up.
  13. Of course one can decide, that what others say does not matter. This is true for any topic. But that doesn't make them right, just because they decided anyone else isn't relevant. And if anyone can freely pick what type of origin they want to staple on their american one, why not go straight to the origin and claim Africa? After all, our earliest ancestors came from there. What, thats suddenly too far? At what point does the "fraction of shared DNA" become too little to claim whatever identity you fancy at the moment?
  14. I noticed this weird american behavior early on, when I started hanging around some german themed parts of reddit. And I say american behavior, because its almost exclusivly shown by them. Often they don't even seem to be aware of this trait, before they encounter people from elsewhere, who are slightly bewildered by their widespread obsession to dig out their family tree... and then claim to own the identity of this great-great-great grandfather, who immigrated to the US in the 18th/19th century. And this is not an overstatement, there are frequently people who think its normal to identitfy with a country they have no connection to, because some distant ancestor lived on land that would later become todays Germany (or maybe not...). "Being german" is just a fancy decoration to them. They would get a culture shock, if they ever had to live here.
  15. Would be down for a mug, too. Years ago I got in the situation where a gameing company gifted me one of their official office mugs with the companies logo on (along with a few other small things). Its super simple, but still one of my favorite mugs.
  16. (never mind, found a workaround for the skin problem)
  17. If come across a problem, that doesn't even make any sense. I'm using the Maitreya V5.2 body. My avatar wears a tattoo (which is on an appiler, no classic layer exists) and I want to use some skin feature (also an applier, a classic layer does exists). Both go to the upper body. Now I'm putting the tattoo on the tattoo layer and the skin feature on the underwear layer (haven't figured out a "better" way yet). Should work, right? And it does for about two minutes until suddenly half the tattoo vanishes or the skin details vanish or a combination inbetween... its getting on my nerves and I don't understand why this happens or what I can do to fix it. The V4 body did the same, although the false display looked different. It can't be that this doesn't work. Why would I have the option to have more than one layer in the first place then? 🙁
  18. Its the year 2020. Don't show up to a current event, selling jewlery without a big fat warning sign, that your stuff will not be rigged mesh. Its super fking awful having to push around a necklace in the desperate attempt to make it fit, only to know it will look bad again the moment I move. Also: Make your freaking bangles editable, if you make them look fullbright and therefore in a completely different tone than the god damn rest of your jewlery pack. God damn, what a waste of money.
  19. I would stay away from anyone casually bragging about being a griefer. Especially if they have been bad enough, that they lost their previous account.
  20. Date of what? Your post? There has never been a time in SL, where the lowest price for a parcel of 512 has been, what you claim it to be. NEVER. Because that wouldn't make any sense. There is TOO MUCH land. Tons of abandoned land, which you can often get for 1L = 1sqm, if you ask LL nicely. Tons of land being for sale, for not even a fraction of what you claim.
  21. It was the perfect excuse to also buy the cutest golden shoes.
  22. No problem Hope the name you want is available!
  23. Uhm... your entire thread is about the (new) paid name change service, which includes the option to pick a lastename from a list. I thought you knew that, since you talked with people about nameing yourself Pearl Enchantment. Enchantment is one of the names from the list. What Jumpman is talking about is the old way of how you created an account. Any account made before winter of 2010 had both, a first and lastname. Thats why I'm Syo Emerald. I had picked Emerald from a list of then provided lastnames. Not long after I joined, the system got changed and this step has since been critized by many.
  24. Keep in mind, checking what names are available during account creation only shows you what combinations with the "Resident" are available. If you chose to use the paid service to rename your current account, a name that might be taken with the normal "Resident" account names, could be still available for you, since your combination of first and chosen lastname from the list could still be unique.
