  1. I have been seeing zero impressions in the day column since the fix. For a few days the sales went back to normal, though, so I'm now suspecting the Listing Enhancements reports page is broken and does not even reflect reality anymore. Also, my enhancements were supposed to expire on the 14th, but they are still active as per the 16th. I wouldn't be complaining about that, but I have no clue whether listing enhancements are actually even functional for my products at all at the moment. My sales levels are now such that some ads may or may not work. I've sumbitted a ticket, and while I monitor the enhancement report over time, I keep discovering new inconsistencies and weird and complicated issues concerning auto-renewing and all. And I keep updating the ticket accordingly, but by doing to it gets more convoluted. This is Marketplace Listing Enhancement hell and no words yet from LL. Maybe, probably, because their dev are currently in that same hell.
  2. In the crypto world they didn't have much content, period. It's all a scam. LL's pretty much provided the framework for games with LSL features as touch/collide/ray-cast/sensor/rez/particles, sim features such as push/damage, temp objects, physics, vehicles, pathfinding, game progress data storage in Experiences. The rest is up to the residents. If you are thinking about games that are as pretty as the AAA ones, that's never going to happen, much like preparing a 3-Michelin star meal using a Swiss army knife.
  3. It's all about time. If people need to sell their L$ instantly, they have to do it at a higher exchange rate. The lower the rate, the longer it takes to sell it all (if at all). That's the biggest factor as to why there are different rates. SL's official rate is higher to guarantee an instant exchange. Time is money. The money will be worth less the longer it does nothing.
  4. Granted, one extremely minor grievance less. Let's hope that somehow, the two major, very consequential ones can be reasoned away like that too. LL has one major ace up the sleeve in claiming that it's still all a work in progress.
  5. Regarding this blog post: Nope, it's not. The default is still "relevance". [Edit - MERCHANT STORE - I read that wrong] Nope, not true at all, none of these reasons. Just type in a few search words, like "game" or "teleporter", and then you'll immediately notice it's still completely broken. Nope. It's broken. When I search for 'teleporter', the number 1 result is a ten year-old piece of crap that uses outdated sit-tp technology that does not work beyond 2600 meters'. When I search for 'game', on #1, I get a prop from a popular Korean TV series, heavily infringing trademarks, not a game at all. And beyond these results, mostly more irrelevant junk. I repeat: it's broken. For months now. Thanks for the two weeks of free ads, that remain in effect until April 14, as compensation for prior ads not working - these compensatory ads themselves - which, ironically, are currently also not working. I guess I have a time window from the 10th to the 14th to check whether the changes will actually be effective and whether I'll be paying for new listing anhancements at all, or not, after that. [Update 2] Over the past few hours, front page ads seem to have suddenly switched from a limited set of 40-ish to a lot of different ads again now. Hope that'll reflect in the listing enhancement reports and the sales.
  6. I actually made a prim egg too, once - a hollow elongated, physical sphere with a smaller, solid, physical, elongated sphere inside. The inner egg was not linked to the outer. The inner was also constantly spinning, making the outer egg wobble and move around in an unpredictable manner.
  7. Long ago, in a sandbox far far away, I linked 10 plywood boxes together, all placed inside each other, then set to physical and then applied the script function llBreakAllLinks( ); This got me banned from the sandbox instantly with the message "We know your kind. We don't want you here."
  8. Bit of good new. As of the past hour, I actually am seeing the 'Impressions for last Day/Week' slowly trickling up. When I refresh the front page, though, I keep seeing the same old set of ads that have been showing up throughout this whole broken ad ideal. Don't know if that's a browser cache thing or some location-dependent phenomenon.
  9. Marketplace maintenance has completed, but the listing enhancement (as well as search results sorted by relevance) problem persists. I guess it was a different kind of upgrade.
  10. I might add that some No Copy items become irretrievable because of some asset server error. LL will try and help you retreive them but there are cases when they can't get them back for you. Some of the many reasons to stick to Copy/No Trans items, and, preferrably, Mod too.
  11. If you downgrade to the previous Firestorm version (like I did, for many other reasons), you'll see that the Skills section is still there. (Btw, in the official SL viewer, it had been gone from view since 2010.)
  12. If everyone keeps changing their names all the time, I'm going to address them by their UUIDs.
  13. This listing enhancements bug has affected me significantly over the past two months too. From the Status page: I sincerely hope the upgrade includes a fix for the ads, because that 14-day free listing enhancement as compensation is not much of a compensation either, now that it's still all borked.
  14. Maybe it's naughty submarines doing something to the cables.
  15. Not so fast! I have a drone with a camera in real world, so whenever I spy on my neighbors, I see them do really dirty things. I wish I had something that would prevent me from seeing that!
  16. Scripters could potentially save you by making a 'don't cam inside your neighbors' boat' prim that prevents you from camming around - like in real world.
  17. Either they click on the dance thing and get a fancy blue dialog window or check local chat to read the last status line...
  18. Not that hard. A public dance script has to maintain a user/dance list anyway, in order to re-request permissions, stop the old dance and start the new one. It's just that these dances don't report on the usage, which would simply require tapping into an already existing list.
  19. This is, kind of, the responsability of each HUD maker. It's by their design choice whether or not their product can indicate these things. It's more likely that these HUD makers will implement such a feature, than that LL will make changes to SL - at the risk of breaking other things.
