  2. Could be worse. What would be the odds of bumping into a star if you would teleport to a random location in the universe? 0.000000% and less. From a statistical point of view, there are no stars in the universe.
  3. Did you suck these numbers out of your thumb, if you pardon my Dutch?
  4. If it meets the following criteria... You can't tell what it is. Crazy rich people want to pay a ton of money for it. Then it's art. I'm dead-serious.
  5. In Belgium, loot boxes and similar game mechanics are already forbidden. In the Netherlands partially so. In these countries, Second Life faces a potential ban with such legislation. So it may be legal to have Gachas on Second Life soil, but by keeping them there, Linden Lab risks losing a significant portion of its residents. And it's not stopping with the lower countries either... https://www.destructoid.com/european-countries-back-report-against-loot-box-gacha-controversy/
  6. Is that a rhetorical question or, like, a declarative sentence with a high rising terminal?
  7. Did you check in your transaction history whether that L$3300 actually took place? In rare cases, payment does not occur and, consequently, redelivery will not work.
  8. This just in (2 days ago): Business Insider has declared the big M Metataverse to be clinically dead. Long live the Metaverse. https://www.businessinsider.com/metaverse-dead-obituary-facebook-mark-zuckerberg-tech-fad-ai-chatgpt-2023-5
  9. As @Eowyn Southmoor says: on the mainland, banlines only work up to a certain altitude. The best next thing to keeping people out is to get a quick-response security system, one that ejects first and asks questions later. Keep in mind that such a device is not allowed in many places, so use at your own risk.
  10. Exactly my words! *looks in old to-do list*... "Make Fisher Price Activity Center-like device for that sweet dopamine"
  11. I can't read minds and I'd be surptised if LL is going to answer your question in this forum, but I'm pretty sure that they don't think Meta (Horizon?) is wonderful and swell and great. Seems kinda obvious, from a competitor's standpoint. I'm also confident that LL is as baffled as I am in how Zuckerberg is able to throw billions into it and nothing comes out. It's either the biggest show of incompetence or a scam, or both.
  12. Yes. No. In other news, yes, SL has crime and murder. No, it's not real.
  13. No, 'unlisted/deactivated' means such items can be reenlisted and reactivated with a flip of a switch. I'd say it's a single-edged sword with the blunt end having the potential to hurt a few. But this is the price of spring cleaning in general: you toss out all the junk with prejudice now, with the knowledge that there will be regrets in the future. I'm curious how this will affect 'Search/Sort by Relevance' on MP, since that part is still being worked on and its search result lists are currently rife with old junk.
  14. Exactly that. It took me a while, randomly succeeding and failing, before I found out that this was the major culprit.
  15. Step 1. Stand in Region A. Step 2. Rez prim near region border, making sure the prim center is in Region A. Step 3. Stand in Region B. Step 4. Rez prim near region border, making sure the prim center is in Region B. Both prims from Region A and B should overlap at the region crossing. Guaranteed success if you do exactly these steps. The mistake people make is that their avatar is still in Region A when they rez something on Region B, thinking the prim is then on Region B.
  16. I'm pretty sure that there's plenty of people her age hanging out in residential areas/communities in SL. Plenty of opportunities to get to know your neighbors at your own pace.
  17. Listing Enhancements seem to be working again, for a few days now - both as shown in the report and as reflected by sales. Also, LL seems to have silently granted another four weeks of free continuation of currently active enhancements. This also explains why enhancement subscriptions didn't automatically cancel when set to 'do not renew', last week.
  18. Another personal update. Over the past day and a half, my sales suddenly significantly shot up again and the listing enhancement report does report click-throughs, but not impressions. It's as if the impressions report has been disconnected from the actual ads showing, but the click-though numbers are indicative of the actual ads showing. This suggests that there's definitely change going on in the MP website code.
  19. That's a very bold statement. Those JIRA's will all be immediately closed because they'll all be marked as duplicates.
