Lovely, Romantic Christmas Radio Stream
MadameGloom Ravenwood replied to Peter Pikkara's topic in General Discussion Forum
Thanks for that, it is better then the Christmas channel I was using. -
Sometimes just leaving your av there for 5/10 minutes while you go make a drink/or do whatever takes your fancy and when you come back everything should be rezzed and less laggy. You can also cut down your draw distance and use low graphic settings. If you are not bothered about seieng other residents you can choose "show friends only" In the world options tab. Or if you still want to see others you could cut down avatar complexity in preferences so that "heavy laggy" Avs aren't rendered. (I see some avs with 2/3/400 complexity, lord knows what they are wearing, my av is usually about 30-50 complexity so the mind bloggles. I have seen some people suggest wearing a full head to toe alpha to make urself invisible but never tried that. That's all my tricks, others may have some more.

I used to make clothes for all bodies but now I only specialise in Maitreya clothing so that that the clothing is specific for that body. And I have had a lot more sales since doing that.

1/ Since BOM arrived there is much more system layers being sold in my experience, anything that can go in an applier now I sell as BOM as well as appliers. I have had many more sales on my system clothing than ever since BOM, but the fact that all my old creations are free will help of course. 2/ I always look at profiles. And if someone sends me an I.M I usually look at their profile first.

Why does no one smile in SL?

I like to smile. And smiles are so much nicer these days. In the past they always looked a bit goofy. -

Lay down with the devil, wake up in hell. The grass may be greener on the other side, but it can also be full of s*** -
I am happy to reveal myself, I have always had my real life pic on my profile, and I have always been open about things when in conversation with others if certain questions arise about my real life. But no one owes us an explanation about why we do or don't reveal our real life selves whether that be by a picture or chat, we don't have anything to prove to anyone else unless we are really close to them and it has become part of getting close. Each to their own and we don't need to be under other people's scrutiny.
