Yes! They came in useful as well. Was thinking of opening a nostalgia club, maybe call it Club Nostalgia. Ask for everyone to dress in system/prim clothing, and system avs. (I have lots of women system clothing free on my MP and a few mens things incase people have binned their old stuff.) Weekly contests, legal sploder, a few camping spots - done in a way that doesn't breach any rules. And an "old school" Type club, but without tons of flashing lights and fog that used to be off-putting. Just paying tribute you could say to the starting days in SL.

Some good ideas there, will keep them in mind. Not sure how long I would have lasted in SL in the early days without camping and sploders.

When I was doing some blog articles on high traffic sims I had to laugh at a sim at the start of the day, they gave something like 10L to vote and an army of bots coming and grabbing the lindens until the max payout level was reached, tons of the pesky little things. Felt the need to spray fly killer on them.

The same for me, though I opened a club with the lindens I earned, used to leave myself parked in a good camping spot all night. Between camping and sploders it worked out a nice little earner.

Yeah, that's a good point, will think about it.

Now that's a good idea! I may do something like that at my place I really do miss camping, was a god-send back in the day.

Feel free to add me as a friend as well. I need to make an effort and get to know new people as SL is starting to lose it's enjoyment and I feel it is the "human touch" I am missing. I am in the UK so mostly on during the day time UK time, and usually all night Sat and Monday due to my shift patterns.

Geeze, that's rather expensive to say the least, I would rather have the last name of resident than pay that, it's extortionate.

It did seem so much more exciting back in the day. Yep, our Avs did look like crap but we liked them and anything was a step up from Ruth 🙂 "It just seemed a lot more alive and atmospheric for some reason." Absolutely, I aint felt like that in a long time in-world I know that the novelty of things wears off, but I just don't know why people don't seem the same.

I used to delete friends but when one guy came back after a 7 year absence I stopped doing it. I know that doesn't often happen but, it can so mine stays as it is.

Really, they should be totally ignored, as you can bet they are reading this now and feeling rather proud of themselves. There should be better ways though to block people so that no contact can be made in any form

No, everyone plays a part in SL, we all started out as free as well. What about alts, say alts that people run their business through in various ways, should they all be paid accts?

Meeting my first and only SL love (finding nice private rooms for a bit of hanky panky), the fun we had finding good camping spots, finding loaded sploders. Finding good freebie stores. Going shopping to buy certain outfits for club contests. Dancing and earning tips. Meeting new people and becoming life-long-SL friends. These days it is just contet creation, shopping and a bit of "gambling" Occasionally hanging out with friends when they are online. But most of the time I am solitary.

This happened to me a month or so ago, the Firestorm help group directed me to their page that someone posted above, but someone sent me a PM and just told me to clear my cache first, so I went with easy option first and it worked Open Preferences → Network & Files -> Directories, then click the Clear Inventory Cache button, then relog to Hippo Hills Island or whichever low-lag location you chose. I often used to do that many years ago for missing items but then they started saying don't do it hence why I didn't try it initially, but it did do the trick.

You don't pay caspervend via a link, you only pay through a vendor so I have no idea what you have actually done.😕
