I changed mine this week. I was under the illusion though that people could still find you searching your old name, but no, guess my old name is gone forever unless I wish to change back.

That's the thing, we never know how others are viewing us or our objects/creations. PC/SL settings/monitor/windlight settings all vary from resident to resident. We can spend ages on our appearance making it look good to us, and others may think we look like a potato.

I joined another grid out of curiosity but never even bothered logging in as I decided I couldn't be arsed. I still get emails form them, they now use AI images, which doesn't give me any inclination to want to try it

It's very rare I find a skin that looks like the ad, been happening for years. I know a lot of things factor into what the skin looks like, and you can duplicate those things and still look different. Though I am using an alternative look these days and not regular skins, I find these don't differ as much.

Yep, I initially thought he meant that things decay after a certain amount of time due to wear/tear/breakage etc.

I love wandering and inspecting too I still prefer prim builds in some ways. They don't break at a distance and LI doesn't increase when enlarging. And since the Convex hull trick they are much lower LI I have derendered builds many a time and problem solved.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Maybe in that case they could just send the stuff back to their inventory for if they ever do come back and could just maybe landscape that parcel. Not going back on the original free land and giving it back if they should return at some point? I don't imagine that would be hard to do.

Why should they be removed? Just because some people don't like them? They are an eye sore? They spoil the view? If something is sitll rezzed on a plot of land then that land is being paid for or else it would be reclaimed and items returned surely? If that person is still paying for their land then their items have a right to be there, do they not?

What are people's thoughts on Sploders and Camping? I found them a great little earner when I first started, and I miss them, they are great for noobs just starting out. I used to go sploder hopping all the time, and finding a camping spot where you could go AFK and still earn was a god-send. Not just the money angle but sploders were great way to explore new places and meet new people. Cone hopping was also good, it was a shame when that closed down for whatever reason. What are the options now for noobs starting out to earn a few lindens? I get why Sploders had to change due to a gambling angle, and I get that camping unfairly boosted traffic, but still, they helped a lot of people.
