VS regular search

That would mean no adult groups have used bdsm in their description or asked to be included in the destination guide.  There's one in there that is called Trap Island and uses the term RLV.

I was also saying click where it says Destination Guide in the middle.of the page I showed.  That's inworld.  First page

if some'n as simple as 69 at the end'a me name can trigger that response, and those response occurred in vast numbers would that not still illustrate the ubiquity?

There's a lot of crap in my cats litter box, but I certainly don't want to increase it just because it exists.

then their idea would be based on a faulty assumption. they prejudged me based on their symbolic idea, of what 69 means to them, whilst i recognise, that it carries sexual connotations for some, for me however the meanin is imminently more personal than the symbolic representations of sex.. and really, if some'n as simple as 69 at the end'a me name can trigger that response, and those response occurred in vast numbers would that not still illustrate the ubiquity?

So what do you think will happen when we quit "hiding" sex in SL? I think you are kidding yourself if you think it will attract mature, respectful people.  Not that I'm against it but you can't have it both ways.

The guidelines for adult inclusions are pulling Google, Bing and Yahoo's criteria atop LL's own rules.

BDSM is a disallowed term, in fact, so is every single actually adult term anyone could use. RLV is allowed as it only has meaning in SL, it's not a known adult term outside of SL.

You can't list the majority of adult locations in the destination guide and explain what people might find at that location.

There are also clubs that reference D/s, Lovense.and this description which anyone would see as definitely sex related...

is an adult hangout where you can satisfy your kinkiest desires. There are weekly pool parties and a sex party every Friday.

No, humans are very much a perceptive bunch. When we see something like, or read the profile. I say we, as humans are creatures of perception. We go hmm, maybe she would be interested in a bit of cheeky one on one. Okay, that last bit was cringy. It's not really prejudging or assumption, its perception. I mean if you have a really attractive avatar, based on looks alone. We tend to do the same thing.

Not sure when we drifted from Destination Guide to regular search.  Goal posts must have moved on me.

I've been addressing the fact that Destination Guide, which was reference first and I responded to, does include Adult places.that people request to be included.  It's completely different than regular search for keywords.

And with that, since we've wandered off my initial response, I'll bow out.

ETA...From the Destination Guide, no keyword search needed...

I don't think it's a disallowed term. I just typed on google search, and it came back with 1.91 million results. In 0.29 seconds. But I don't know if you are talking about SLs search function or websites like googles search function.

The destination guide very technically includes some things, if you know how to show them, and you can read between the lines and really, REALLY, want a nude beach.

It's functionally junk. Deliberately so.

Read the DG submission guidelines and the pages linked to concerning Google, Bing and Yahoo terms.

The word "sex" returns no results searching the DG, even though some places have that word in their name.

but why even bother.

so earlier, i suggested a sin for salvation type scenario, initially, jsut like if you legalised all drugs, there would be an absolute spike in activity, but once everyone is desenstised, has lived it, been it, done it, or figured out half the women cant be arsed, arent interested, or wont do what they're askin, they will get it out their system and be done with it... am not sayin advertise it, am not sayin shove it down anyone's throats, am just sayin, it wouldnt hurt a thing, to let people know they can be themselves, no matter how freaky nor kinky, it couldnt hurt to let people know you can find intimacy here, it couldnt hurt to let people know that SL is more than just remote workin and event managin site, cus when you lookit the main page for SL that is what they sell it as.. i mean really, why is it so wrong to inform the public that there is a safe place to try out your fantasies with other consentin adults? am not sayin make it the main fearutre, am not sayin post pornographic images, am not sayin sell it as cyber sex or, some debaucherous and depraved porno simulator.. am just sayin, relationships, sex, and so much more make up the better part of SL.. when most people think of SL, they think of the relationships they've established with people, and the money they've sank in, and that's at the non-creator level.. most of the relaitonships that occur in SL, started with a sexual experience, because it is so easy and readily available to have sex here, it's STD and pregnancy risk free, it has the appeal of endless gold on those premises.. yet, the same people who spend all that money in SL on those sex items, at those sex sims, are the same people who are left out, in general SL activity, even though the bulk of SL income is from its sex work, be it the furniture the sims, the BDSM movements, the, the people themselves.. the rentals on land alone make them a killin.. their vast user base is horny people.. you stop appealin to your user base, you lose your user base

I wouldn't say GW2 is a very sexual place because of that, though. Or WoW. Or TikTok. Or Reddit. Or *voice trails off for an hour*

I think this is kinda the point. Yes, sex is ubiquitous, in RL as well as online. If I walk into a RL supermarket, probably 80% of the people there are having sex regularly! And occasionally daydreaming about it, talking to friends about it, etc. Crazy, eh? But that doesn't mean that the vast majority of them are living for sex. It's just a very important part of their lives.

Just like, for a great many residents, sex is an important component of their virtual lives.

For the vast majority of people I know, really, SL is just like RL in this regard.

In fact, I think LL should play up the fact that sex and relationships here are rather like our "real" lives. How about,

Second Life.
Join for the Sex.
Stay for the Foot Rubs.

In the Destination Guide...you keep missing that point.   You have to request your region be included that in most cases.  LL hardly has the man power nor.should they take.the time to search out each and every one of those sex places in regular search and do a little write up.

If I simply searched Adult content as you did, I get NO results.  I had G,M and A checked.  Same as when you search sex with ONLY adult checked.  With all maturity ratings and all other parameters checked, you get over 10,000 results for sex.
