Question

So i am on a mainland sim (or my parcels are) and one of the neighbors has pornographic items in plain view basically.
I've sent a report in but if it's INCOMPLETE or broken (aka: the land between my family's and my neighbor's is NOT the neighbor's - so you can see the items but if you send a report it's not on the right parcel) - they won't process it?

I'm assuming just ignore it and move along? XD

No, this isn't "CAMMING" in on this aspect, you only have to turn around and it's in your face - I apologize for not being clear, CAMMING IN is when i look around the rest of the house - which then those things aren't public, but this is a front facing window to the path to another parcel - it's not a dimmed window, and it's not "NUDITY" it's NSFW sexual acts on a pinball machine...

looking in = camming. But discussing it doesn't help a lot, i'd recommend to read the knowledgebase. Don't move to Belliseria btw... there aren't even banlines to lock the parcels. You could run into adult pics in every neighbourse house.
Be a adult and don't look in... for sure not because you know it.
Lets keep it to LL what to do.

And please stop with the NSFW, even that isn't the same everywhere. In the USA people end on the A&E after seeing a nipple, while here in Europe nobody would blink.

Camming yea, won't bring results.. but walking through once to get to another parcel i'd had at the time - i'd seen a VERY and have seen this in the last 48 hours (and reported it recently n the last month) - an NSFW pinball machine.  I'm aware that camming is 1. stupid and 2. curiosity klling the cat (in which i've ...kinda done both LOL, cause once you've seen the first couple things you gotta wonder wtf is going on) - I've already talked to the guy that rents out the land, and he said it isn't his problem- I did report it like i said, but like the guy above said - i won't know any action on their part.

Just grosses me out that we're about to start a hunt on our land, and then suddenly like for the millinoth time i'm seeing that walking through to another parcel of ours.

if it's not in plain sight you spilled the time reporting it. Adult content is totally allowed on Moderate land but just not in direct public sight or direct use ( for example adult furniture)
As soon it's behind a door or in a building it's not public. In that case is is a choice to cam in, or enter it, and totally on yourself if you keep going and looking.

Ok, but my point to you is that without camming you can see this in a house. you walk past

you don't have a point to me, and you should avoid looking in if it's that disturbing to you.
You reported it, thats all you can do. And don't walk through parcels .. it's often seen as trespassing.
Do what where you ended your first post with.

Yea it could just be that i reported it and it takes ages?

not only that... but if you see it by camming into their home or building, your report won't likely bring any result.  ...

"basically" is a very broad meaning... is it... or is it not in plain public sight?

At this time i can tell you that if you walk past, it's a clear non shaded window - not a door, i could excuse adult funirture because yu don';t know it's NSFW until you sit on it - but this is NSFW and pornographic pinball machine.  It's like straight out of a hentai catalogue.

based on what you tell is that this isn't reportable. It's your own choice to cam in.
NSFW isn't a criteria in SL.
Just as example again.. you could even get naked in public on a general region .. nudity isn't adult content.
(region owners, also parcel owners, can limit those rules, but it's no breach of TOS or reportable)

The statement above is ltierally because we have reported it, we all own a businiess area near the parcel in question and it was simply asking how to handle it and a bunch of people said don't report it because we'r ebeing prudes that's all...
I never told Eliza to come in and agree with me i never said for her to comment - she boguht a parcel off me that's diagonal from there and you can clearly see everything.

You misunderstand. My comment was not in reference to Eliza's. What I meant was that despite what everyone else here thinks, whether they agree or disagree, you have a right to report it and it's ultimately up to LL to decide.

If it is true adult / pornagraphic images that are clearly seen by anyone outside the parcel walking by the house (without camming, just standing and looking normally), then that does NOT fit the definition of "behind closed doors".  A Linden or Mole actually mentioned that in a post in one of the Linden Home threads.  If the region is Moderate, the person must take all reasonable steps to ensure the 'adult' content is not visible by anyone & everyone out on public land.  If it is clearly visible via windows, then the windows need shades or curtains to hide the images.

That bunch would be me...and now that you've explained the situation more clearly, I agree with you.  It's sort of like the neighbor I had who put up a fifty meter tall statue of a nude woman.  I reported her, too.

Report it and let Linden Lab decide if its wrong.  They won't tell you their decision but if it disappears you'll know.  Right now reading between the lines its starting to sound like you two have parcels either side and are wanting to squeeze out the parcel inbetween.  🤔

Its extremely embarrassing to be trying to conduct a business with a lewd pinball machine staring at you through the window and making all sorts of noises that aren't parcel contained. I't would be one thing if it was just with a bunch of houses around, awkward but whatever, it's residential. But trying to run a business and having to hear moans at random hours is infuriating. I own the parcel across from them and it's pointed right at the windows. it's not that we mind them having it, it's that its in a spot that showcases it to EVERYONE who enters that section of the sim.

Some suggestions to help the situation:

Set your parcel to restrict sounds -- About Land / Sound tab / click 'Restrict gesture and object sounds to this parcel'.  When you restrict your sounds to inside your parcel, it also keeps outside sounds from coming into your parcel.

Add some decorations/landscaping to help hide the view of the pinball machine.

It's pornographic material. I'm aware this is "Safe on moderate under private circumstances"  - but privacy would be putting that behind like you said, a door or a room you can't see from the public - or a skybox.  They're never there as far as I know, and it's pretty much a sex cam house with a stripper pole and donation etc - but as we stated the ONLY PUBLIC thing is the NSFW, pornographic pinball machine..

As in i would get banned from the forums trying to explain what they look like

That's ...
Behind closed doors is one thing, no banlines on this parcel either.
If it's not against ToS then why do i get the feeling that people have been banned for less?

Derender it and go about your day.

I apologize for getting defensive, tehre are valid points to how it's semi prude of us LOL - but it has brought about one good thing out of it,  i will do another report anyways because it's a hard call tryinig to sell land and run a business (we're downscaling yet not type thing, like i said downscaling on one post but i'll get to hat LOL - ) - Mainly now we're moving and neediing to sell off most of our land, t's just.. gonna be harder to sell becuse of that...

And probably the other neighbor who literally over chargese for her 1024 parcel *uber rage quit*

Thats a really good suggestion! Thank you! :) I'll set it to that and maybe set up some hedges while I'm trying to resell the land for the move. I didn't know it restricted it from outside as well.

I'm not going to beat a dead horse on this, But 75% of all sims have such items in them, If your that picky you can fix it many ways. Sale your parcel move to a pg sim, buy or rent your own sim, derender the object, move your stuff to a sky box the list can go on and on. Face it 1000's of people do it. There is only so much adult main land. And why should we be forced to own over price main land for a non busines homes over the fact of some one crying over a object,

You should be crying over the fact that linden labs lets AFK clubs and other types of adult clubs on the main land forcing people to move out of them just to have a home and the things they want in them. You can only blame the clubs pushing people out. I for one do not have porn out in my home. But I will not stand for someone to tell me I can have NSFW items any where in a parcel marked mature and or adult. Grow up ever time you walk into a store your hit with the dirty mags at some point its the risk you take ever day in the real world.

FYI...moderate IS the new PG since there is no PG rating.  General, Moderate and Adult.  Although I do agree that you can simply derender offensive items.
