My husband came home with a big ole 42 inch NEC  computer monitor today.. hehehe

The Gamestop in town  is closing tomorrow so they are trying to get rid of everything in the store.. It was one of their gaming monitors that was up on the wall for a couple of years..

He got it for like 60.00 usd.. I've been looking them up and used ones are going for like 1,200.00 to 1,300.00 That I've seen so far..

It's commercial grade and sounds like he got a really good deal on it. plus it has touch screen and all kinds of goodies on it from what I read.. I mean i don't think I'll ever use that touch screen on it, but it's really neat that it has it.. I might though.. hehehe

I looked up the wall mounts and those are going for like 40.00usd themselves, which they gave him also.. it's really big and would fit perfectly where my desk is..

So that's pretty neat..hehehe

Here is my desk with a monitor that probably needs fixing/replacing as it's whistling, my 'puter assembled by Chillblast in 2015, dusty Coolermaster keyboard, and assorted items.  The mug contains 'Afternoon Tea' from English Teas.  The yogurt is Waitrose's very nice Honey and Stem Ginger variety.  The looming cream thing to the right is my big fat Stressless chair.  The looming dark thing above the monitor is a poster from Dark Shadows (original series).  I'm not sure who would be interested in this (and I've blacked out the juicy links) but you did ask.

The Yogurt.... someone must be doing well! 🤣

We actually ended up giving it away to Good Will.. It was too huge plus it would have sat out too far from the wall..

Once i seen what the brackets would look like on the wall, I said it's gonna be too bulky.. He agreed, so we gave it away.

Wow, this is an old thread! I had a look at my 4-year old post and on the outside my computer hasn't changed much. Same old beige bomber case. Inside, it's changed significantly:

i7 10700 CPU

Asus Prime B460 Plus motherboard

24 GB DDR4 RAM

Zotac GTX 1050Ti graphics card [I actually bought it shortly after my original post on this thread]

WD Blue 250 GB SSD + Toshiba 4TB HD.

I was given an old Apple 30" monitor a few months ago. It's huge! I like it but it sure is an energy hog.

Windows 10 Pro

Also, does this count as part of our PC setup?

No, Paul and I suggest you stop making LL extremely envious or more jeaulous of you by flaunting your server hardware and networking-capabilities, which apparantly outdoes theirs. ;)
