  1. To add to Daniel's narrative, the first Bellisseria regions to appear in March, 2019 were a two region wide strip of open water running north and south, from Whitecap to (what is now called) Ashirra, then east to Sanchon in Jeoget. Sailors tend to be the first to explore new open water regions, hence, on March 26, 2019 the Leeward Cruising Club sailed these waters.
  2. I believe that Second Life appeals to very few people. If you look at the only concurrency data I know about, you will see the number of concurrent users in Second Life would easily fit into many outdoor sports arenas. I have been in SL since 2009 and I talk about it A LOT with real life friends and family. No one I know is interested in being here. None of them "get it". The fact that you have stuck with SL as long as you have means you might be one of the weirdos on this bus. As others have said, keep trying new things and you may find something that gives you joy.
  3. Around 6:30am SLT, at least 3 moles were working to remove the blue parcel bumpers and the green center marker. All has been cleared away. Of the 15 parcels in Sandcastle Narrows, 3 are currently unclaimed (2 piers and 1 water). Surrounding stilt regions also appear to be released.
  4. This afternoon, I noticed that I could not enter Sandcastle Narrows and other stilt regions in that area. A mole was working and appeared to be removing the sky bumpers. The regions had also lost their SSP prefix but the border bumpers and green center markers remained. To me, Sandcastle Narrows is a great location and I wanted a stilt-on-water there. Later in the day, I noticed green dots in the region and verified that the parcels were being allocated. I immediately abandoned a houseboat and got my stilt-on-water on the second roll. Feeling very lucky. That's me in the lounger on the deck.
  5. Typhoon (Med region at north end of roadway bridge to Ranches) now has a boat rez zone. TY! There are also numerous boat rez zones along the coastline of the Meds and Ranches that is just west of the Stilts. TY!
  6. The Tortuga and Evening Star gifts are addons and are excellent and low LI. I am using unlinked items from both (steps and ladder). TY
  7. Sansara has quite a few airports already. On the Ranch side, I just noticed there is an undeveloped region called Los Topos that is currently closed to the public. It's just a big field that would make a nice AIR field... all grassy. Found this while looking for "Where would one go to take their dog for training?"
  8. The suggestion, as I understand it, is to deflate the Linden dollar significantly. On https://www.tilia.io/why-tilia it says The key phrase is "highly regulated". It is unlikely that Tilia would engage in any change in currency exchange policy that would expose them to civil lawsuits or criminal prosecution.
  9. We Finally Have a Bellisseria Landfill The Bellisseria Department of Solid Waste (BDSW) is happy to announce that our request for a landfill has been granted. The newly minted regions SSPSchmidts Forge and SSPCampos Verdes, adjacent to the Mediterranean-themed Linden Homes, serve this purpose. Trash collectors are advised to sail their garbage scows up the waterway that passes through the Typhoon region. We are open for business. Once again, thanks to all those whose tireless efforts have helped make this important infrastructure project possible.
  10. The Bellisseria Anniversary build has been deployed. The four regions SSPBA1, SSPBA2, SSPBA3 and SSPBA4 replace the Bellisseria Fairgrounds and the airstrip region to the east of that. The build appears to be a larger version of the Linden Homes demo region but also includes a gift area and various activity spaces. A small helipad public rez zone is located in SSPBA3.
  11. View of Ten Acre Wood and Redbranch Hollow (Bellisseria Ranch) from Harter Fell (Sansara)
  12. Tis true, but perhaps not hopeless. There is a possible path
  13. In addition to what others have said, it has been my experience that changing only eye color can dramatically alter a face. I tend to prefer brown eyes and find that blue eyes make me look very different.
  14. My opinion is that when you spend time in Second Life and build things (and are not trying to sell stuff), the person you need to satisfy is yourself. Do you like the build? Is this a place that gives you joy? You seem to be building your landscape using top creators, so bravo. My only advice is to not rely too much on any one creator (e.g. Skye).
  15. This topic reminded me that there is an Arcade round in progress that I had not visited. I immediately went over there and found two vendors of interest, YaY.
  16. Kraftwork is having a store-wide half-off sale until the end of March so I got a few things for my Tortuga kitchen. LI seems reasonable. Items included below are KraftWork Mini Boho Kitchen, KraftWork Dual Source Freestanding Range, KraftWork Kitchen Rails . Dish Rack, KraftWork Kitchen Rails . Magnetic Knives Strip and KraftWork Beets & Tomatoes. I did the custom splash tile and the cabinetry for the range.
  17. Inara Pey's post concerning this topic... https://modemworld.me/2024/03/21/linden-lab-statement-on-recent-allegations/
  18. Interesting graphic in the Med rez zones... after studying it awhile, I concluded that it is a top-down view of a Segway type vehicle with one wheel and mirrors.
  19. There is a Belli covenant which you can read in "About Land>Covenant". It includes this statement... " Skyboxes, platforms or other floating objects are only allowed above 2000m to keep the skies clear of physical/visual obstructions and casting ground shadows" Should a covenant violation be reported via an AR, governance may eventually act upon it. My experience is that violations such as zero-second orbs or low-altitude skyboxes or security walls are addressed within a few weeks.
  20. What works for me is... 1. Unbox gifts/purchases immediately and delete unwanted items 2. Sort into numerous well-named folders 3. Take a photo of anything I really care about (clothes, hair, christmas trees, pumpkins, etc) and store on a hard drive... use a thumbnail program to locate stuff 4. Save every outfit in Avatar>Outfits
  21. ...done. It did make me a little sad to abandon a Linden Home that I acquired in May, 2019. However, the new Beckridge Gallery is more like a gallery and meets the amended requirements for the Destination Guide. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Malfelonius/37/110/22
  22. Can a Linden Home be in the Destination Guide? Officially, Linden Homes can no longer be destinations. This was communicated to me gracefully by editor@lindenlab.com. Thank you. This is a change in policy. As of today, the written policy remains Evidently, Linden Homes are intended to be residential properties and not are not suitable as destinations. Perhaps update the written requirement? The Beckridge Gallery (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Beckridge/198/135/25) remains, for now, and there may be one or two nice photographs there. I am in the process of relocating to mainland.
  23. Test your mouse and keyboard in another program to make sure they work. After starting the Second Life viewer, use your mouse and click on the main window. This directs keyboard input to this window. Then move your avatar using the arrow keys.
