  1. Being sensitive to those around you is important, and tolerance and understanding, and taking time to reflect when you feel offended more so. I don't agree with the sentiment of Fry's comment. It feels dismissive.
  2. Nice idea, and love the build and images. Your underwater garden is very serene.
  3. I can't remember where we were! Though it was a rental and not on the mainland so it might not exist anymore. I don't think I ever looked at the map back then. I did revisit our first Linden home though (I unzombified an old alt for some reason and she had her home set to there). We were so end of the queue and it was just as bad as I remember. I have lived in much nicer older style Linden homes since.
  4. I'm not sure if the whole of society has that opinion though? Even the bits of it that don't necessarily want to look at it while they are eating their jam sandwich. (not a euphemism)
  5. It sounds like it. it's one thing to walk down a street and think uncharitable thoughts about someone's curtains, it's completely another to legally oblige them to change the design.
  6. This seems like normal common sense kind of behaviour to me, and something that I do also. Maybe the missing piece is that I, and maybe you aren't used to extreme reactions to everyday variations in lifestyles so aren't as sensitised to the topic? (also living in the UK)
  7. @Leora Jacobus I feel weirdly responsible for joking about this scenario earlier in (was it this thread?). I'm sorry that it actually happened.
  8. I know 'accidentally posted' is a phrase rather than a word, but that over the cliff feeling when it happens sometimes .....
  9. I am a bit stunned. After rereading this thread I gave up my ocean view older Linden home and managed to grab a camper this afternoon, but the poor thing had script problems. I left the tech peeps restarting the region for a second time and decided to try my luck elsewhere, thinking there might be some spare trads swept up in the abandon tide from this afternoon's release. After a few goes on the refresher roundabout I snagged a houseboat, my own houseboat In a lovely neighbourhood, with good sailing links, and a square footprint. I have nervous twitches that my finger might slide and I'll accidentally abandon it. @Beth Macbain it would be the end of an era if you left the Quartz Sea, I'm glad that BMcB lives on.
  10. Yes, it's the first house that comes up as a choice when Belli isn't available!
  11. I grabbed a (my first) camper twenty minutes ago, Toad Hollow.
  12. @Pussycat Catnap why not move into a Grayson, it might be more fun? Most hated word currently 'protected', it is so misused!
  13. There have been many discussions about this, maybe someone has the links?
  14. I know you are talking about inworld spaces, but what strikes me is how much regular online activity / interaction is driven by Bellisseria. Here we are, gathering, chatting about Belli, look at flickr and see the tonnage of snapshots, interest groups. The inworld chat groups seem to be rolling non stop. Maybe stick around on the forum, join some inworld groups and you'll get a different feel for things?
  15. The minimum bid could be calculated per square metre?
  16. This is a good point. I think this is the formula I've been using. What % of new homes (or existing ones) would I prefer to live in. If it is 75% it's worth moving. If it is 10% and I am in the mood for a sustained effort, then it is still worth having a go. If it is 2% I might be better having a rethink. If 0% then maybe something else is going on and it's time to step back for a while.
  17. I think the difficulty of moving did affect me when I had a Belli home. There's a certain pressure not to do what you would normally do, ie shift about and try new things.
  18. @Kate McLaglen what a lovely home you have made there!
  19. Congratulations @Leora Jacobus ! Amazing that someone didn't want this.
  20. The view towards the coast. You can just see Stanley the Koi Carp swimming around in the pool outside. edit: as you can see I have been so busy decorating I haven't had time to take my coat off
  21. More jumping about on the Old Linden continents! I'm loving this new home. It's a Mountainview 1 near the coast and not too crowded round about. I have 1 prim left, until I can find another way to squeeze things in.
  22. Erroneous use of the word protected, or false claims for water access seem a problem also. Also descriptions talking about views which may of course disappear. I wonder if some of this could be automated?
