  1. That will be really great for those people who have struggled so far with the timing of releases and so on.
  2. They have Mr Darcy and Miss Bennet together I see. I expected to find Rumpole in the Bailey though!
  3. I saw the houses inworld, and both they and the surrounding landscape / planting are quite lovely and up to the standard we expect from our amazing moles. I can see people enjoying these, especially the larger size of the rooms and (is this confirmed?) being able to change wall colours individually. For people who tend to travel by TP and use their homes as a base they will work well. Will I be inspired to walk, drive, sail just to look for hours on end?. Or spend hours refreshing on that land page to find another unique plot like i do in North Belli? Probably not. This new continent isn't aimed at me. I'm disappointed, but if there are hordes of people loving it then that is absolutely ok. Especially if they can get their first Belli home without all the extra effort that's been needed so far.
  4. It may be this awful cold I've got, but I'm struggling to find my enthusiasm for these. I'm sure that when I see photos of decorated interiors this will change. Still got fingers crossed for some modern style models in the future.
  5. @Syo Emerald Was intended to be a humorous remark (unless you know something that I don't? )
  6. I am chuckling to myself because, in my oddly (lovely) placed home, with no path, or road access I had stared at the mailbox, forlornly placed in the middle of nowhere...and thought uncharitably...I wonder if I can cover that up somehow. This morning when i logged on it had vanished. I'm sure a live chat person could probably retrieve it from whatever squirrel's nest it had been dragged off to, but for the moment, it's gone. Chewed into a thousand imaginary splinters, along with the christmas lights maybe. I would add a photo, but there's nothing to take it of, except a patch of terrain.
  7. A detailed account of my download history might derail the thread! Summary = I have used the OV in recent history. Lots of people use the official viewer, more so than I realised. If you tend to use the same software all the time it is easy to miss the differences and the implications of that. Not meant as criticism. It is also really easy to miss or forget Belli covenant details.
  8. 600m gap is quite low, and whatever you draw distance you use yourself tends to be thought of as normal (I use 1024m a lot of the time) In my opinion it is only the economics of second life which have led to low expectations. When land is cheaper, the stuff which needs to be rendered gets spaced out more and owners don't feel as much need to squeeze every last buck out of their square meterage and prim allowance. If the landscape were not as dense, even lower end systems could can cope with longer draw distances. I did!
  9. I just moved into this plot in a wooded valley in the Poseidon Peak area. It's close to another plot I held in Ruthsberg , however the feel of the place is amazingly different for such a short distance travelled. I can tip my boat into the river so best of both worlds. I have neighbours at the back on my level, and the surrounding plots are up on the top of the valley sides so this feels quite secluded. No road connection, not even a path! (Though I could off-road onto a neighbouring thoroughfare.) I am surprised and delighted!
  10. You do, but you have to sit next to the local parish councillor. I wish the dishwasher stacked itself
  11. More than world of warcraft anyway (I'm guessing i don't play that game)
  12. You have, but it belonged to an angry bear. I wish I didn't miss the community christmas lunch today due to a bad cold.
  13. It is possible to have a lovely home anywhere in second life, it's the lovely neighbourhood which can be more of a challenge. Especially if you don't want to restrict your view distance to the shortest settings.
  14. I guess if that were happening in real life, one wouldn't consider it the main activity of whoever was doing it
  15. Granted, but you develop an unusual obsession with wearing sequin sprinkled skating leotards to which you are allergic. I wish @Marut72 wasn't allergic to sequins.
  16. @Leora Jacobus it was a spring creek camper (I curiosity clicked after @heartzwhim declared)
  17. Ooh creepy, and obviously a bloke, as D cup could mean anything, depending on their underbust bandsize.
  18. Is that your up now? (avoiding so @heartzwhim gets a chance)
  19. Lovely houseboat in fish tale with open sea view at the back, will abandon next few minutes.
  20. Really lovely! What a difference the theme makes to the feel of a trailer.
  21. Not in the official viewer though! The covenant in Belli assumes that people don't have the ability to derender.
  22. It's nice to see someone researching before they write. Interesting read, thank you!
  23. You can, but only by shrinking in all dimensions so becoming tiny I wish this UK election was already done.
  24. Thanksgiving, as a holiday, is something I've become more familiar with since I've made USA friends online. Of course we also see the tv and film references as well. I wonder if having an extra holiday would take some of the pressure of expectation away from Christmas, as it has expanded and taken on more complications over time. My childhood family Christmases were fairly simple. This year I am making even more effort to streamline things and resist some of the external influences which add stress rather than pleasure to the season. We already avoid any crowded events and set out to enjoy the bits of the season that 'peep around the edges'. Last year we visited a museum / gallery on the day before it closed for the holidays. The display space almost empty and wonderfully peaceful with time to stand and stare. Our usual cafe was only open to busy folks dashing in to pick up large boxes of goodies for their feasts, so we had cups of green tea and biscuits in our camper van. Near the car park a young man with down's syndrome was happily sweeping up golden leaves and listening to Christmas tunes from a portable radio propped up in in his wheelie bin. I'm beginning to wonder if it might be possible to experience Christmas in an interesting and satisfying way without actually doing a great deal at all, or at least just do those things which I like doing anyway throughout the year.
