  1. He does and it is fed into your home 24 / 7 complete with themed advertising breaks. I wish my neighbours weren't so keen on noisy power tools.
  2. He now is your lifelong buddy, but it turns out that he can't stop gnawing on all your possessions. I wish baked beans didn't have so much sugar in them.
  3. That's a reasonable take, but for some reason my brain just won't accept it! What I'm hoping for, is that during the building of Belli north, the team came up with ways of streamlining the process which couldn't be implemented until they had a whole new continent to use, an area which was free of residents. We've already seen hints of new customisation options (when that functionality leaked over into some existing homes by mistake). The screenshots Patch teased showed really lovely houses. I have been utterly impressed by the love and dedication invested by the design team, and there is no sign of this tailing off in the latest builds. What I think, and this could be a wild theory, is that the team are behind schedule, intentionally so, because they came up with something fairly late in the day that was worth investing time and effort in. The demo appear at the last minute because someone, somewhere is currently in hyper-tweak mode getting it finished to the new spec. The map ... just a sketch to show the builders where the roads join up. I know I'm on my own thinking this, and it could be an idea individually fermented in Raspberry cuckoo land, but it makes sense in my brain!
  4. I couldn't find it either. Maybe I was early and the HUD was ready before the swag?
  5. I'm still puzzled by the situation on the development regions. I was ready to accept that shuffled clones were the direction of travel. I was a bit down about it, but open to the idea..after all only Patch and crew know what is realistic for them to achieve in the time scales they have available. Now I am looking at the map again, and yes the roads line up, but some of those tiles have lines of symmetry even within the regions, in fact a lot of them do! It's as if someone has sat down with whatever is the equivalent of photoshop for grid design and put together some quick samples. The only places where this isn't true are on the detached islands, and in some of the coastal areas. Are we absolutely sure that this isn't simply the road and rail map, subject to alteration and customisation later? The team knows that there is a demand for water views, for varied terrain, and all other things being equal that inland regions which contain just houses tend to be less popular. Why create a continent where so many of the homes fit that format?
  6. I am beginning to wonder if some of the skimpy clothing choices are down to minimizing bother with alphas and overlaps. Layered more realistic looks take more effort to wear, and presumably to create also?
  7. Granted, but only on the actual moon. I wish I could grow tomatoes.
  8. I hope they don't get it tooright, as the little bits wrong can be the best bits.
  9. I'm not sure what grid planning means in this context. Maybe finalising the road and rail layout? My somewhat limited experience of building virtual railways led me to believe that building the tracks first and landscaping around them was easier than the reverse. It's got to be easier to demolish and redo things, or shift terrain with no residents in place ( if say, you find you just can't make the curve and your track / road is headed off a cliff otherwise) My somewhat fanciful theory is that Belli was designed as a really a big train set by someone who was so keen on virtual railways and that we residents are simply decor for that
  10. Snaps from today's walk starting at Washburn and working my way to Venber via Leera, Ketran and Venber. This may be my favourite coastal stretch in Belli. I love the cliffs, the planting, and of course the houses perched atop the dizzying flights of steps. There were many examples on the route and here are just a selection. In no particular order; Long steps, steep steps and most puzzling of all, the steps to nowhere.
  11. Also in Fish Tale. I managed to come to an agreement with Stanley the Koi. So long as I put some sort of enclosure up to keep the sharks out he would put up with a houseboat, the salt -water, possible boat rotor injury, neighbours with fish that might look at him funny, or herons (don't mention herons). Personally I've never seen a shark, but apparently he's been on the forums and everything there is true and there WAS A PHOTO so it's not worth arguing with him. Honestly he never stops moaning. Who knows why when he's been in so many lovely ponds, rock pools, tanks and even a swimming pool* in the last few months of moving around. You'd think he would enjoy the change of scene. * the swimming pool chemicals made his fins peel, allegedly, I couldn't see it but that's because I never pay attention to him and am always decorating, he says...sigh Fish Tale is lovely BTW and the houseboat faces open water at the back and has plenty of open space at the front. I am very pleased with it. More photos when I'm done decorating. (I think I just heard a fish blow bubbles in a disapproving way)
  12. I was surprised actually, at his reaction. It feel like a leap to construct a change of policy based on that though? There has been a huge amount of praise for the Belli project, both here on the forum and elsewhere. In fact I would say that the positives outweigh the negatives, but then everyone has their personal biases about how they see things, me included.
  13. I'm not convinced that the cloning is staying. The regions don't match up as they are and it will be very obvious at ground level that landscapes had been copied. The amount of work to adapt them so they look different would be more than starting from scratch. Cloned road plans / plot placements, that does makes sense, the whole thing, no it doesn't fit with the ethos so far. Anyway, we need to wait and see, this is all guesswork!
  14. That's the effect of Bellisseria, expectations go up about environment an then what you care about is the neighbours!
  15. You did a lovely job of this. it looks finished to me!
  16. A delightful linear series of down steps in Downing Falls, and a circle of upsteps in the same region
  17. I picked up and released a trailer in Howling Pines five minutes ago. Otherwise, this has been a slow day!
  18. Vocal bullet points which change format while speaking, especially hanging 'a's. Daft Example; "There are many things I like about teddy bears; A, their furriness, Secondly their cuddliness and also that they always agree with you." I stop listening because I'm getting wound up about 'where's the B"??? My peeve really is, that I get worked up about it...it really doesn't matter....aaargh.
  19. My thoughts are that the cookie cutter regions are just there for testing purposes, and the thing we had wrong was thinking that the whole new area would be released at once. In existing Belli the coastal regions were developed first and the interior later, so it seems likely that would continue.
  20. Pretty steps in Le Prince, this house is near a 'village green' in Rabbit's Run which is surrounded by very steppy houses, up, down, curvy, rocky, bricky, ...sigh...
