  1. I'd suggest doing a detailed check of the regions to see who owns what objects and whether they should be there. Also check the contents of any object that group members can change (check no scripts were added or the like). Remove and replace anything that belongs to former employees or renters. Chances are high that this is someone who had a falling out with the owners, but under a different name than the account contacting you.
  2. They don't handle abuse reports by telephone. You file them in the viewer. It's "Report Abuse" under the "Help" menu in Firestorm. It'll be similar in other viewers.
  3. I see a single house claimed on Bookings (fantasy). The queued regions are slowly opening up.
  4. Or just hop on one of the free inner tubes. The sharks will love you for it.
  5. I survived! I'm not sure where the nearest inner tubes are, but I found one on a beach somewhere and floated over. Made some new friends with lots of teeth. Once past the waves, the tubes are just right for the shallow water on the fantasy side.
  6. Patch said in chat that there'd be log and stilt regions released today as well.
  7. One thing I was going to try is see if I can get a ring floaty from another theme and paddle it all the way to my house. It should be possible. Might be a thing for late evening after I get the rest set up.
  8. I said Thursday! Trust the mushroom!
  9. I vote for tomorrow (or whenever Thursday is for people)! Trevor is getting hungry, so need to get a home sorted soon.
  10. Do you have double click to teleport turned on? If so, try turning it off and see if that helps.
  11. Very few people in group chat compared to normal is more likely to indicate the chat has broken again. As far as excitement goes, I'm sure people are refreshing the page and watching. That's what I'm doing. There's not a lot to do other than wait at the moment. I'd say that knowledge of the houses outside of people usually involved in Linden Homes isn't as good as it could be. People in fantasy groups are still surprised it's happening. The houses have all been realistic up to now, so people weren't paying attention. I'm sure word will get out once they're actually out and people can visit them.
  12. The green dot has stopped moving... hopefully the monsters didn't get them. Though I fully expect them to take a tea break at Teabreak, because it just has to be done.
  13. They're going in order from side to side and working down. I reckon they might be finished by midday, though the question is whether that's the last step or they have more to do.
  14. I've noticed this near me. Most of that land has sat there for years and suddenly several bits went to auction at the same time.
  15. I hope they do connect it all the way around, even if it isn't like that at the start. There's a reasonable buffer there for people who don't want to see giant mushrooms from their realistic houses. Anyway, I can only see two regions with the marker edges on my map, so soon!
  16. You can fish 7Seas without bait. It surprised me that more people didn't know that. So go out and be cheap like me for your fish! Anyway, I like the idea of the vendor that changes what it sells at random (idea 1) and I'm not someone who has ever run a gacha. I see a random vendor as being more like the lucky chair experience rather than gacha, but with low prices rather than completely free. For that reason, it's also not likely to be allowed at events (lucky chairs are usually banned), but a possible fun thing for main stores.
  17. There's better money to be made elsewhere for people with art and graphic design skills, so if you're struggling for basic food and rent, it's a good idea to try other things that have a better return for the time spent. It's also a good idea to spread it around so that dips in one source of income can be covered by the others. It seems some of the issue here is people who've found one thing that makes a bit of money and then not looking at anything else (both in Second Life and outside of it). Once that one thing disappears, there's nothing left. So change how you sell your Second Life stuff, but absolutely go looking for work you can do elsewhere as well. Don't rely on one platform for all your income.
  18. On one zoom level, I see a bunch of regions with no colour edge and the houses are in place. They're getting through them.
  19. Pink means it needs more mushrooms.
  20. Worth highlighting as things get lost easily in the main gacha thread of doom, it's been confirmed that you are allowed conveyor belt vendors. These are ones that select a random item from the list and tell you that you can now buy that specific item. Then after it is bought, it selects a new item. The key to any alternative system is the item purchased must be known before the customer pays. What will be for sale next can be a surprise, but not what is for sale now. It's included in the FAQ here: https://community.secondlife.com/blogs/entry/8586-policy-change-regarding-gacha/
  21. They won't be worthless. They'll still be worth whatever price you set. So set the rares and ultrarares at a higher price and resellers can continue to sell their ones for more than the pull price. Though even if you did make them worthless, I've seen people today giving away their gacha prizes or making them extremely cheap, and I didn't see anyone complain about that. Where I've seen creators asking people if they should sell the gacha things or just delete/retire them, the answers were overwhelmingly in support for continuing to sell them the regular way. This pressure to never sell any way other than gacha is one you're putting on yourself, not one that's coming from the majority of customers.
  22. This is the sort of thing most people are looking at doing. What works best depends a bit on the gacha. Some might be best in a single bundle. Others splitting out the rares and ultrarares to sell separately. You know your items best when it comes to how to divide them. I can't say whether your customers will react badly or not, but I'd suggest just banning anyone who is abusive. You don't have to put up with that.
  23. With the campers, people assumed it'd be a few more days at least and then suddenly they were out. Some people had used all their house tries already that day. So, it'd be safer to assume it might be sooner and be ready.
  24. I can't zoom in all the way on those ones yet, but my first thought was they were empty regions being set aside for something to be built later. Maybe some sort of community areas as they're pretty spread out.
  25. I did, though the odds of landing in a region with a name like that are slim! I'll accept simply not hating the name as long as the location is good.
