As you can see, a lot of picking an avatar is deciding what you want to been seen as. Even if you pick a straight up human you still have to choose size, style, ethnicity or even gender. And then there are people like Torley that refuse to choose! If you need help, ideas, being pointed in the right direction or even just want to know if something is possible, feel free to ask. Actually, please ask. We love to help. And it can keep you following a money pit that some roleplay resources can be.
  2. I change my eyes infrequently, but they all come from Poetic Color. That way, even if the color changes, they still have the same look. Currently I am wearing brown eyes. The eyes I look at most often change as often as she changes clothes. These were last night, after a Mardi Gras party (we had to bail on the party because of frequent crashes from us both)
  3. You can get spam sushi in many Hawiian sushibars.
  4. When? Where? and yes! What to wear, what to ware, what to were .... ((BTW, "Yes" is my favorite word))
  5. Maureen Boccaccio wrote: Love these! From J's, right? Yes, they are. J's may be on the pricey side of average but when compaired to the other top quality boot and shoe makers, they are well worth it. And these are just so pretty I could not resist.
  6. I honestly don't give it much thought; I just wear what looks good. Like Dresden, I am more concerned with script count. It may take me 30 to 60 seconds before I res on other people's screens when I tp in, but at least I can tp in And speaking of Dresden ... You look delicious!
  7. Finora Kuncoro wrote: Marianne's tip is a great one. I've been slowly modifying all my older boots and shoes, and come to strongly dislike no mod footware for this reason. I have more than a few with resize scripts (whoever made the version that requires a script in every prim needs to be ... spanked at the very least .. but I digress ..) that I kept a copy with the scripts still in them. I have to be VERY fond of the shoes to shrink the invisiprim down 1% at a time through the script. I have thrown away a few pair that have tried my very limited patience too much. But there are a few pair I just cuss to myself and keep clicking the -1% button ever 5 seconds until it is too small to be seen.

  9. I believe there is a translator built into V2. Me > Preferences > Chat tab. At the bottom is a check mark to use machine translation while chatting (powered by Google) and then a drop list to choose the language to translate into.
  10. Hmmm, let me think .... Never claim to be a "Professional Student" or a "Student of Life" or any other silly euphemisms for being a jobless drifter. Storm, wouldn't you rather like to know what you SHOULD say? Like complimenting her sense of style. No, "you're sexy" is not the same thing. Compliment her on her taste of clothing. Tell her it is refreshing to see someone who does not look like all those other tramps. (But don't use the word tramp because you really need to avoid being negative) and above all else be confident and honest. If you can fake sincerity you are golden.
  11. I need to find a few more places for photos. Most of what I take are just at my apartment.
  12. Venus Petrov wrote: Now that is some perspective. The detail on the boots is awesome! /me loves the gold heels Thank you. They are from ZHAO.
  13. Rhonda has never been premium. I have had a premium membership on an earlier avatar, tho. Even with the weekly stipend and the reduced price for buying a premium membership in one year allotments, I still do not see a reason to go premium over just buying L$ and renting land from another resident. For me it is all about the maximum amount of shopping I can get for my entertainment budget
  14. Yes, and no and still pretty much the same. It all depends on where you are going. If some venue is trying to maintain a specific theme then they will still have rules to protect the atmosphere. No non-humans at a roaring 20's speakeasy, for example, is no more contrary than requiring formal attire at a ballroom. Walking around a wild west sim wearing your Boba Fett armor is obviously just harshing other people's dreams. So of course some people do things like that for just that reason; then they get bent out of shape because they were not allowed to stay and be a jerk. There are some popular music clubs that enforce a no furry rule; not even nekos are allowed. One of the most famous and popular jazz clubs is in this list. There are other, very popular and crowded ballrooms that don't care if you are a robot or a lion or a vampire as long as you are bipedal and wear a suit. Some places even require you to be nude! Although these spots are usually not the mainstream, but they are popular and well liked by their patrons; and those people do not want others forcing a conflicting roleplay on their area they have worked so hard to build. For the most part, shopping areas are neutral grounds, now. The necessity of commerce has proven greater than the need to be isolated. So in that regard there is less animosity between the cultures. On the other hand, you still can not roam gorean sims in your Starbucks cofffee cup avatar and expect to be welcomed.

  16. /me laughs. Yeah, he mentioned that the HUD was like Redzone as well. I asked him if he had a device to tell him when people were at his club he said he did but it was different because his club was private property so that was allowed.
  17. We had a guy stop by this morning who started looking for stuff to complain about. He went on about the (non-working) HUD being against the law (his words, not mine) because it was remote monitoring. He also accused someone who was there for the first time of using a hacked viewer. Turns out he owns a bar that is not the top of the destinations list. I do think it is cool we had our little happy shack recognized in the destination guide but if it is going to set us up for harassment from owners of clubs trying to make money, I wonder if it is more of a curse than a reward.

  20. This is my favorite and the one I wear almost all the time, It is *~*Damselfly*~*Verena Black Pearl Blend And my other favorite for when I want a softer look is .:EMO-tions:. * DALA * /deepblack I have a ton of other styles and some I really love, but they are just not *me* Like this one. It is a cute as can be, but then cute is not the look I usually go for. Anyway ... *ARGRACE* ~ Knit Beret "Loose up" ~ (Black) It does not go well with the jacket I was wearing at the time :smileyindifferent: [ETA] I can change to color of the cap. Black goes better with leather and jeans I think I will wear this today.
