Yes, I am quite aware of all that, as someone who has owned many Mainland parcels over the past 10+ years. My point was that LL has consistently insisted that LH are starter homes, and now they are adding these upgrades. I'm honestly not seeing what your point is, though. *shrug* -

This reminds me of something a bit odd about this part of the PP offering. We have been told repeatedly over the past few years that the new Linden Homes are "starter homes" (usually in response to residents demanding upgrades). That POV doesn't really reconcile with them now offering McMansions and exclusive abilities to request specific parcels from these so-called "starter homes". Just seems a little inconsistent to me, but hey ho. -

There is no way to get around the limit of five claims in 24 hours (if that is what you are talking about). What you *can* do, as Liaa noted, is log out and back in on your Dashboard when you hit the limit of 10 page refreshes.

Yeah, I'm not pondering whether it's worthwhile, just whether it's possible. I imagine what will happen is the same thing that goes on now with GOH, with the same folks and their alts getting all the best new spots. This just makes it easier (and more expensive) for them to do so. If I wasn't already disinclined to pay more for PP, that right there would make me think twice about whether it was worth it. *shrug*

Interesting thought. It makes me wonder if the new system could also potentially be exploited for payment, like one could offer to sell their services as a requester of homes to those who can't file a request due to not being PP. 🤔 It would be interesting to see how it would work if LL would put some sort of restriction on the "claim a home via support ticket", like say that if you abandon within x number of days, you cannot file to claim another within y number of days. That might at least throttle any behind the scenes wheeling and dealing (assuming that wheeling and dealing is possible).

I think I saw it the same way you did. I'm not understanding how, practically speaking, this will turn out to be an advantage for anyone other than those who have a large number of Premium Plus alts lined up ready to file requests on all the upcoming best locations, so that they will all be taken by one person or a small group working together. It seems like it would be very difficult for someone with only one Premium Plus account to have much of a chance to get one of the obvious "best" spots. The odds of filing a request for a great spot and being successful seem pretty small when you are competing with someone who is aggressively filing requests. Luckily, I have no interest in trying Premium Plus, or in any future LH releases, so it will all be 🍿 for me!

I'll add to that my thanks that, due to the likelihood that they will raise the price of regular Premium, I've taken a hard look at my land and already decided where I will make some major cuts (including removing alts from Premium), should they proceed in that direction. Talk about saving money! -
I think you are doing the right thing for you. Anyway, Linden Homes might be too stifling for the creativity of someone who built that set up you had on the Great Wall in Ziczac back in the day. Remember when we were neighbors there? I ultimately sold my parcel to you, and you turned it into an opium den. 😂 Bottom line, I'm glad you've found a place where you can keep creating without worry that you'll spend more than is comfortable for you.

You are one of the ones who do it, yes. I don't like seeing posts from individuals who are hoping to sell a single parcel shoved down the page under an avalanche of repeatedly bumped ads from a couple of land sellers. As such, I do my best to ignore your listings. That being said, there is at least one land seller who does not use this tactic, and I would go to him first if I was in the market to buy from someone in the business.

I must really be misunderstanding something, because I don't see how $249/year for 2048 sq. m. would be better than having two Premium accounts at $99/year each for that same 2048 combined. I don't need any of the other stuff being offered.- 729 replies

You can also set a parcel for sale for L$0 as long as you are setting it for a specific individual to purchase.
