  1. If you know the Atoll and SLRR, then you know that land in Calleta doesn't come up for sale often... but I'm selling mine now. It's oceanfront on protected Linden water, next door to the Hobo Railroad Infohub, and has an unblockable ocean view. Best price per sq. m. on that coastline! 2,096 sq.m., 719 LI, L$40,000. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Calleta/61/248/25
  2. This parcel is part land/part water, and you can terraform it to make it more of either. It's right next to a cobblestone road that is on a pod route, and also next to a Linden water rez zone. It's fun to watch the pods glide by and turn into little boats as they hit the water. Water is protected by way of Mole Channel over to open water regions, so sailing/boating work well here. 1,344 sq. m., 461 LI land capacity, L$10,000. I've got it set up to blend nicely with the neighboring marina, and you can keep that decor or return it. Come see for yourself! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Paneer/187/80/25
  3. Exactly right. Bellisseria is, despite GOH, intended to be made up of regions of "starter homes" to replace the old, original Linden Homes. As such, the regions have had covenants from the start, something that Mainland simply does not have. Apples and oranges, folks, and if you are thinking LL is going to upend Mainland after all these years and attempt to implement and enforce covenants at this late date, well, I really don't know what to say except keep dreaming.
  4. My other parcel has sold, but this one is still on the market. If you are looking for a nice spot with access to deep sailable (and driveable! lol) water, come check it out!
  5. I thought they said up front that this "pick your LH" thing applied to houses that had not yet been released into the pipeline (but I admit, I'm not really interested in Premium Plus so I haven't paid all that close of attention to it). Anyway, if you look and find one of those not-yet-released homes, you won't have to worry about someone claiming it before it's assigned to you, because it won't be on the land page *to* be claimed.
  6. Anybody awake? I'm about to drop this sunset view over water Vic in Goosemere:
  7. This parcel has protected water on two sides and is landscaped by a well-known SL designer. I will of course leave the landscaping and building, and you can keep any of it that you like, or send it all back! 3,344 sq.m., 1,148 LI (if empty), L$36,000. Come see it in person, because it has a very unique feature that runs in front of the parcel... a road that starts normally (see top of map below) then goes straight down into the water, and on to the Sutherland Abyss. Bring a snorkel! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Whitlock/35/121/82
  8. I gave up my awesome Cobbs Marina houseboat a while back because I'd had it a pretty long time, and it was time to move along. Just rolled this one next to the chalets, which is a whole different vibe. Might be fun to play with!
  9. Dropping this Ruthsburg trad on the river in a minute. It's really cute with the park in back, but I've had it in the past, so it's someone else's turn now!
  10. Umm, I was talking to myself. But thanks for the permission.
  11. *don't post the dead horse gif* *don't post the dead horse gif* *don't post the dead horse gif*
  12. This entire thread says that. Now, please excuse me, I'm off to make my private parcels blindingly obvious for others.
  13. I'm selling my 3,616 sq. m. grass/beach parcel on a dirt road/pod route in Pouncival, a quiet region on the Nautilus continent. The beach goes down into water, where you have eight full regions of Linden water stretching in front for a beautiful view and sailing fun, too! L$60,000 (L$16.6/sq.m.) is the lowest rate you will find in the area, and that includes nearby totally landlocked parcels. (Random guy on road not included! 😛 ) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Pouncival/198/12/22 EDIT: Forgot to mention that the parcel's capacity is 1241 LI.
  14. So, because some might find it hard to tell, that means the landowner doesn't have the right to restrict access? The traveler's rights trump those of the person who paid for the parcel? I am never going to buy this argument, sorry. This gets brought up over and over in complaint threads in the forums, but the bottom line is, the person who owns the parcel makes the rules (subject to TOS, of course). All the rest is just noise.
  15. I suggest that going forward, all landowners who want even a minimum amount of privacy throw away their orbs and use big honking ugly banlines instead, to make it abundantly clear for those who have trouble with the concept of "private home" that access is not open to all. Those bright yellow fences will surely enhance the experience for everyone!
  16. One more thing, and something for you to think about. Every single time I read one of these silly "my SL is being denied to me because you won't let me trespass" arguments, I feel the urge to go set banlines and orbs on every single one of my parcels, and I bet I'm not the only one. You are shooting yourself in the foot here, but carry on!
  17. What? OK, I'm out, too. It is indeed like talking to a wall. 😂
  18. It's not a trap. It's not a booby trap. It's a boundary marking the edges of private property and meant to block entrance to those who are not welcome. This is not difficult, though you seem to be invested in trying to make it so.
  19. I was typing this comment when Rowan's reply appeared, and 100% agree. It doesn't matter how one arbitrarily decides to define "trap"; the word implies intent to everyone else who doesn't use your unique self-made definition. It's a negative way to refer to the actions discussed here, and it is not helpful to continue implying that landowners are lying in wait, perhaps keeping score of the number of vehicles they capture (which is pretty much the mental image that results from misusing "trap"). It's also not helping your argument to continue to use the word after being corrected, nor are the repeated references to morality. If I didn't already believe that landowners have an absolute right to use the tools LL gives us as long as they are acting in compliance with TOS, I would certainly believe it after reading the superior tone of some of your posts. It's a very twisted type of "morality" that says that the persons insisting on making use of land that they do not pay for, that does not belong to them, that they clearly are not welcome on.... are in the right. 🙄
  20. Do you mean that you switched from Premium to Premium Plus? And what do you mean by "the bigger place"? If you are asking about the 2048 sq m parcels that have been promised for an unspecified date in the future, they are not available.
  21. What I do when I want to make changes to everything on a parcel is use area search in Firestorm. I check the option to limit the search to the parcel, let it pull up everything, select the entire list shown, right click (I believe, I'm not logged on at the moment) to get "edit", and then I can edit everything at the same time via the edit box. I have done this to set items to group on several occasions.
  22. With all due respect, I don't think you can say what will or will not affect another person. Some people are extremely sensitive to loud noises. I'm happy for you that you aren't one of them.
  23. If you speak of RL, I can assure you that such a situation sucks, unless you want to wear ear plugs 24/7.
  24. And that is certainly fine for your own parcels. It's when people insist that others leave their parcels open, even in part, that it becomes an issue.
