I'm going to be increasing land this month anyway. It would have only been a hit of $3 a bit early.

Abuse Reports have to be filed inworld via the viewer, not using the LL ticket system. Go to the area with the problem and enable all settings to get the view that you are showing in the picture. Under the Help menu there should be an Abuse Report option and within that there will be a Land / Encroachment category. Add the object owner, explain the situation in the text field and submit.

When you checked your speed test, did you use a local server or check the test accessing San Francisco CA? Sometimes there is a difference.

One update: I bumped my tier up on the Land Use Fees page via the radio button - from the $5.00 level to the $8 level - and I did that a week before my tier billing day. I did not change my actual usage at all. Interestingly enough the information on that page, up under the Land Use Fees section, is not being displayed correctly. When I changed the radio button, both the 'Current Fees' and the 'Estimated Fees' columns changed to indicate the $8 amount - even though my "current usage" had not actually changed. I then went to LL Chat and talked to LL about it. She said that the 'Current Fees' column is not showing correctly and that the 'Land Holdings' section of my Account Summary would provide the true correct amount to be billed. I checked there and sure enough it still showed $5.00 -- note that the 'Allowed' and 'Available' both do show the additonal 512 sqm that I could use based on my $8.00 level setting, but the 'Peak usage' is only showing the 1024 that I've been using (my free 512 and the 512 that I pay $5 for) I then waited until my tier bill date and I can confirm that I was only billed $5.00 even though the radio button had been updated to the $8.00 level. The fact that the 'Current Fees' column of Land Use Fees does not show correctly may be why people are thinking they will get charged if they don't reduce the radio button. It sure made me do a double take and promptly get into chat with LL about it.

Interesting - I don't have the same result in Firestorm. When my alt is my friend, the calling card will show online status. When I unfriend the alt, with the alt still logged on, the calling card immediately loses the '(online)' indicator. My alt does have the firestorm Privacy setting of "only friends and group know I'm online", thus that is the result I would expect.

Tthe username itself is not case sensitive - only the password. I just logged in by using all lowercase letters for my name and it worked like a charm

I logged in using Firestorm and the LL viewer by just specifying my ALTs name without 'Resident' and by adding 'Resident'. All of the logins were successful. Can you screenshot your Firestorm login screen for us. Also, you can download the official LL viewer and verify your login with that. If all goes well, then go ahead and uninstall Firestorm and re-download it and re-install it.

You can never delete posts. You can edit them but only within 24 hours. And you cannot edit any post down to nothing - there must always be at least one character. However, unless you've said something you really regret, it is usually best to leave content, especially if it lets us know you've gotten your answer or solved the issue, and also anything that could help others in the future.

If you are Premium and only buy 512 sqm of land ON MAINLAND, then LL will only bill you each time your Premium membership comes due - there is no additional amount for tier. If you are Premium and own Mainland, then LL will automatically bill you as needed (for membership and tier, if applicable). For those case you can skip logging in for years and as long as you billing info stays valid and LL can get their money, you will still own the land when you finally log back in. Note that if your payment method becomes invalid for any reason, you will not only lose your land, but you'll lose access to your account until you pay LL the money due.

The comment was not referring to financial situations or making any judgments. It was simply the fact that you used the phrase 'an arm and a leg' (i.e. containing body parts) while referring to the cost of another body part. When dealing with forums, don't automatically assume that someone is attacking you in some way -- at least not until you know someone well enough to know how they respond to people in general. Hell, that is even good advice for life itself.

If only we could get jewelry makers to get on board with this demo thing. Jewelry is about the only item that I can never get demos of and it is also the one item that is likely to have LOD issues and/or high CI values. Maybe that's exactly why they don't provide demos. *sigh*

Also, look up The Free Dove inworld. Some of the stuff isn't great, but some of it pretty good.

That totally sucks. I'm not saying this in a rude way, but if that is how your SL has always been then you've been hanging out with the wrong folks, at the wrong places.

I'm betting this is just a mis-interpretation of something.

Your tier allowance that comes with your Premium membership can be used for 3 things: To have a Linden Home or to apply towards the tier for any Mainland that you own or to donate to a group. Some rentals will give you a discount if you donate your tier to their land group. There are also SL businesses that will pay you for your tier to be donated to their group - where they in turn then rent the extra tier out to others.

Premium memberships are paid in advance and you have pretty much zero chance of getting a refund for any portion of the amount paid. You can downgrade yourself to a Basic account to keep the Premium from renewing when it comes due. Your current Premium benefits will stay in effect until the end of the pre-paid period, whether that be for a month or a quarter or an entire year.

Try typing your password into a Notepad so that it is visible to you. Then copy and paste it into the password box for Firestorm.
