  1. The above setting will not stop friends and groups from seeing you as online - there is no way to do that. It is simply making it so that non-friends do not see your status as online.
  2. And buy some applier leggings and jeans while you are at it. I have a pretty good accumulation of all of the basics in applier clothing now. Truthfully, because so many of the mesh pants (for ladies, anyway) cut off at the ankle, you often cannot easily tell without closer inspection whether the pants someone is wearing are mesh or applier.
  3. While the Wiki only currently lists some US states, given some countries policies on gambling, I wouldn't be surprised if LL also blocked it for some non-US locations. If your country has no issues with online gambling and you are being blocked, then I suggest a Support ticket.
  4. As mentioned above, I would advise to first go grab all the various mesh body demos - the meshbodyaddicts site has links. From the demos and prices you'll be able to decide if you want to jump into that boat right away or start on a bit smaller scale. What I did when I returned was to initially just get Slink mesh feet - partly because SL system feet are super ugly and partly because none of my shoes from years ago that used invisi-prims worked anymore. The Slink feet aren't a waste of money either because there are still a lot of shoes out there that only come in a Slink version and you can wear the Slink feet with most mesh bodies. The ugly hands didn't bother me as bad, primarily because I always wore bracelets anyway and those hid the ugly wrists - and I didn't care about the bento fingers ability right away. Thus I skipped the cost of mesh hands. When you finally decide to get a mesh body, you might not actually have to throw away ALL old clothing, so don't immediately trash it all. Any 'system' layer clothing (tops, pants, underclothes) will be useless on a mesh body, so any outfits that rely on those will be worthless. However, if you have any mesh outfits, they may still work for you. Originally, mesh clothing came with an alpha layer that blocked out the appropriate parts of your body so they wouldn't poke through. That alpha layer won't work on a mesh body and any old mesh clothing will likely not fit well directly on a mesh body. However, the mesh bodies come with HUDs that will let you alpha out parts that poke through clothing - a manual way of doing what the alpha layer did when you wore the mesh item over a classic body. That may let you get some use out of existing mesh clothes in your inventory as you slowly buy new items. Just because you get a mesh body doesn't mean you have to also get a mesh head. Many of us, myself included, are still using our system heads. Take your time figuring it out and don't let anyone push you into making a decision before you are ready.
  5. Luckily, when layering clothing and considering applier clothing, if done even half way decent, the applier clothing does not look near as tacky as the system layers of eons ago.
  6. Oh, woe is me. How could I have made such a mistake? What? How dare you be so arrogant as to correct my spelling/grammar? Maybe I'm just not as educated as you.
  7. Of course........... because I always wear boots while sunbathing.
  8. Mine consists of the two phrases that are important when I travel: dónde está el baño and otra bebida por favor Oh - and also: habla usted Inglés
  9. You still have to pay a fee for actually changing the L$ to US$ and then another fee to take those US$ out of LL rather than leaving it as a balance on your account.
  10. As much as I sympathize with your situation, LL would simply consider this a Resident-to-Resident dispute and they would not get involved. Your bet bet is to mute / block the person and forget abou them. Tell your wife to do the same thing. SL is a huge place with lots of good people - don't let the a**holes ruin it for you.
  11. Not sure if I should be liking this or running for the hills.
  12. (warning - I am cross posting this in a couple of threads) I've uploaded pictures from this morning's Sunday Breakfast. I've started a new album for The Breakfast Club pics. The Breakfast Club

  15. Based on another thread in the forums and the posts within, I'm pretty sure this thread was not really created because of the post you might be thining of.
  16. As others have pointed out, there is a Premium benefit that lets this happen. Hence my prior post of:
  17. It is often easy to distinguish difficulty with the language from plain laziness or not caring or text speak. Not too mention that much of the time, it is not necessarily about actual grammar, but simply trying to make something readable. If it is a long post, it really is difficult to read if it is not broken up a bit with some line spacing. Ditto if the post is just a huge long run-on sentence. Many of us just won't bother and and then the OP is going to be limited in responses. I don't both correct various spelling errors or the misc. grammar issues. However, I will mention the lack of line spacing and/or run-on sentences if they truly make reading the post difficult. IMO, mentioning such is actually helpful to the OP as it may help more people actually read the post and give replies.
  18. /me chuckles 15K? Come on girl, you need to acquire more stuff - you are falling behind.
