  1. True, but I have a vague recollection that once upon a time, a Linden had said that it was alright for families with children to live in the same house, even if the parent's bed had sex animations in it - as long as no sex was happening when an child was around. Trying to search brings up so much stuff that it is like looking for a needle in a haystack -- and I did say "vague" recollection.
  2. Sort of -- this page might be saying otherwise and it hasn't changed since 2012 https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Clarification_of_policy_disallowing_ageplay My guess is that if furniture does not specifically appear to be for sex -- i.e. obvious bondage furniture and such -- and is not currently exhibiting any signs of the sex animations, then the furniture would not fit the above description. If the furniture definitely implies some aspect of sexual activity, then it would probably be against the rules if a child avatar was near it.
  3. I did not get that part of the picture as being the funny part. I thought you were simply implying the funny part was her pouring cat litter on the liquid. Yes, I was apparently dense on that one.
  4. Anyone here is just guessing. Consult a tax attorney.
  5. The more concerning part is that she has a lit cigarette in her hand while standing on possibly gasoline and next to a gas pump.
  6. Only in time that users need to put in on the hunts. Typically, the Swaginator hunts give Mole made items that many want, especially if they are not high LI items. Whereas, the vast majority of stuff that I collect from the various other inworld hunts gets trashed. The only inworld hunts that are typically worthwhile are the ones for just a single specific store, instead of the grid-wide ones. Similarly, I'd rather do a hunt that gives me a new Boopie than 98% of the inworld grid-wide hunts.
  7. Hopefully the "special Mole Gift" will be available to all, whether we made it to the crab crawl or not. I couldn't get my boss to agree to let me go.
  8. Oh I really, really hope they are not doing a Boopie that can only be gotten by doing the race. That definitely seems extremely unfair to those whose schedules will not allow them to participate in that race. There is no way my boss is going to allow me to skip work so that I can go do a crab race in a virtual world so that I can get a virtual collector item. ETA: However, after seeing another post, it does sound like they might really be giving out a special Boopie just to the race participants. If so, I am highly disappointed in whoever made that decision. From the Bellisseria 5th anniversary thread:
  9. Today's Delight: Tomorrow I head out on a 1.5 week vacation/holiday. Just in time - I'm in desperate need of an attitude fix for work.
  10. But, unlike much of Europe (at least based on what I hear), the vast majority of people are not in walking distance to a store and between kids & jobs, many can still only get to the store once a week.
  11. True - not to mention the option of only rendering friends. I guess the whole "me being invisible" thing is more so that I don't render in pieces to others that haven't enabled some of those options.
  12. I'd love it if my company offered an early retirement / voluntary package. I'd be jumping up and down raising my hand. We had 3 or 4 rounds of non-voluntary layoffs in the last 5-6 weeks. I wasn't really ever worried, just because of what my current position is, but it still made the whole environment unsettling.
  13. Peeve: Even though I work on the engineering side of the house, I still sometimes have to sit in on the calls when we do a release install....... and I really hate that. I'm only there in case folks have issues or if they all of a sudden can't manage to read the install instructions. This has been one of those nights. At least I can read my kindle through most of the work stuff.
  14. Your answer is in the message that you receive:
  15. Per the last time Patch commented on it -- been a while -- Yes, they still want them to go away. I don't think there is a current timeline though. As to how many are occupied, I don't think any of us know the answer to that and LL has never been too willing to provide many specific numbers related to Linden Homes, old or new.
  16. How does an invisible avatar -- with nametag still showing -- have an unfair advantage over anything (well, other than performance, which is the whole reason I use an invisible avatar at crowded locations)?
  17. While it "might" be questionable how sanitary the tank cover and lid cover are, rugs around the toilet base are definitely breeding grounds. Then there are the people that carpet bathrooms. Not only is it disgusting around the toilet base, but the carpet gets moldy all along the edge of the tub.
  18. Unfortunately, in the US, fresh fruits and vegetables are often not only expensive (relative to many other foods in the store), but most will not last a full week and many people do not have the time and/or ability to go to the store multiple times during the week.
