  1. The alt could still be Premium and "own" the home, and "set" it to a group that you and whomever else can rezzed and do other stuff there (You can even own the group). Then, You -- LulabellsAmour -- could be a basic account that belongs to the group and therefore has almost full rights to do everything at the house, and basic accounts can be partnered - so nothing lost there -- and you keep your current name, so no impact to friends. Then only difference is that LL charges the alt account for the premium rather than the LulabellsAmour account - and you are still only paying for one Premium. Granted, since you've already let the other house go, that is all sort of a moot point not, but something to keep in mind in the future if you decide to let the alt also hunt for homes.
  2. Yes, especially when the issue being AR'd is a definite covenant violation -- platforms rezzed at 300m, add-ons that are way over the 15m mark, parcel covered with a snow prim and a blizzard happening on the parcel. It is extremely frustrating when things like that are still there a week later. When an AR is submitted about something possibly being in theme - well, that is a whole different matter. There are so many opinions on what is in theme. For all we know, those type of things may have to be decided on in committee. I could understand why those might take a little longer -- especially with Bellisseria still being fairly new (in the grand scheme of things) and "in theme" may still be being worked out.
  3. I find their stuff to be too primmy because it contains lots of prim pieces rather than creating a large mesh component to replace many of the prim parts. Granted, I think I only have one of their add-ons, but that was my note to myself about the one that I have -- not the one linked above.
  4. I see tons of folks using this one, but I don't remember how the pieces are. So I don't remember if you can pull off the extra room, if you don't want it. However, she gives her Linde Home SLURL so you can go check it out. I've have this in my favorites for a while, debating whether or not I want it. Note that it only wraps 3/4 roughly - not on the room add-on side. Also, I just noticed that it is not roofed all the way around, like I was thinking it was. Confusing the various add-ons in my mind. ETA: I also just now noticed that you had specifically mentioned the FAYED stuff - though not sure if you were only talking about that front balcony piece or also her room add-on with wrap patio. Nothing like responding after only reading a sentence or two. oops https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/FAYDED-Winchester-LH-Great-Room-Wrap-Around/17458408 For info if others don't know: Edit the item, clicked the checkbox to edit linked parts (whatever that is called) and then arrow through. That will tell you what the individual pieces are -- you can only tear apart down to individual pieces.
  5. This seems like a good thread for this question: I've been tearing apart various furniture pieces that I have that contain throw pillows, because I wanted a few to put in other places. Some are easily retextured, even if they are mesh. However, what I'm encountering is the mesh complexity. Even if it is only one LI, does it really need over 12,000-15,000 triangles for something that is roughly .5 x .5 x .5, give or take a bit? So........ my question to all of you decorating experts is: Would you please recommend someplace to buy decent throw pillows that are Copy/Mod, have good enough LOD to not fall apart from across the room but without an excessive amount of triangles, and preferably not costly a ton of L$. Or am I being too nit-picky here since I really don't know a lot about creating mesh?
  6. My bet is that it does exceed the 15m. You could measure to be sure before you do the AR, but if it does exceed the 15m height restriction, then definitely AR it.
  7. I'd also say that it is not breaking covenant, regardless of how tasteful some of us might find it. My guess is a "true" new account (rather than a new alt) and that either they don't know about flower shops or don't have much money and don't know you can get some grass and flowers for free on the MP. Maybe that textured prim is all they could think to do with little to no money. If I lived next door, I might gift them with a batch of inexpensive grass & flowers and then wait and see what happens. ETA: Other possible reasons for the prim - they have some vision issues and thus don't see SL as many of us do. Or they have a meh computer and thus don't see SL as many of us do. I still think I'd probably gift them some stuff - maybe under an alt that didn't live close by - and see what happens.
  8. I tried voice once, but didn't like it - for many of the reasons stated here. Primarily though, nobody else in my house wants to listen to me talking to folks in SL all the time.
  9. I'm one of those that don't want a plot right on the ocean partly because of the sand lots most of them have and partly because all of those plots just feel too exposed to me. I do like your created river look though and think that I might have to expand my tiny little pond with super tiny waterfall to actually flow and wind a bit farther.
  10. Well, who knows which parts might be considered by LL to be out of theme, but at the very least, most, if not all, of the stuff rezzed on that top layer are definitely over the 15m mark. If I remember correctly, the top of the Barnacle houseboat is at something like 11-12m.
  11. Seriously, WTF are those people thinking?
  12. Yeah, that is totally true - and logical. However I think too many people are either not looking at the covenant at all or are really dense or intentionally trying to see what they can get away with. *sigh* ( I've been doing way too much of that lately)
  13. Pulling money out of SL cannot go to a credit card though - it must go to PayPal. The credit card only works for putting money in, not taking out. It used to be that you could get PayPal verified by adding a credit card, without adding a bank account, but I think that option went away and that it must be a bank account these days.
  14. Maybe they have a big dog or other pet that they need to fence in.
  15. This ^^^ I can live with 5 a day if I knew for a fact that I would not get the same location twice in those 24 hours. Then again, while hopping trailers over the last week with an alt, I still did pick up the same location 3 days out of 5 or 6. But even that wouldn't bother me near as much if I knew it at least wouldn't happen within the 24 hour time frame of my 5 tries.
  16. Don't worry about this part so much. For the most part, the Moles are not the ones that deal with the ARs and clean up the sky-blight. I think they only deal with stuff if they happen to notice a post here that gives a general location or if someone messages them directly (which most of us try not to do much).
  17. I have been reporting tons of stuff over the last few weeks. With that last huge release, there have been even more people coming into Bellisseria, with way to many of them apparently NOT reading the Covenant - or not fully understanding ALL of the implications of it.
  18. @Patch Linden - I think the covenant needs a bit of rewording / clarification. I have seen (and reported) quite a few platforms in the 150-300m range. When I IM'd one person about a platform that I ran into, they told me that the Covenant said "sky boxes" must be above 2000m, but not necessarily anything else. Maybe we are seeing so many of these because people truly believe that only actual skyboxes have to be up higher. Maybe some sort of rewording that explicitly says that the area between 15m and 2000m must be kept clear of all objects. ETA: And said covenant re-wording then needs to somehow be blasted to all Bellisseria residents - I know you folks are working on that targeted announcement piece.
  19. I don't think it applies anymore based on a post Dakota made sometime in the last year or two. Apparently there used to be a rule about not being able to list the MP item higher than inworld or something like that. I thought I saved the post, but can't currently find it.
  20. Ahh, I didn't know that all Demos had to be tied to the full version. In any case, I often get tired of spending so much time reporting things. Sometimes it seems like there are more things listed incorrectly than correctly.
  21. LOL - Upon closer inspection, it really is more of a 'wood' sign. I had truly never looked very close at them before and at first glance they really do look like those cardboard markers I saw as a child.
  22. If you mean, just adding other people, you can let anyone stay there and you can add them to the Access List. If you want them to be able to rez or set home there, create a Group and "Set" the land to the Group - well technically they could rez there if you open it up to allow anyone to rez. I'm pretty sure you have to use the Group option though for them to Set Home there.
  23. You might want to measure that add-on. The top of the highest roof on the Winchester is right at 12m high and you can't have anything higher than 15m above ground level. My guess is the middle peak is probably around 15, but - depending on camera angle - that would put that front peak quite a bit above 15m.
  24. I hadn't thought about this. It might be time for me to start doing the Demo thing again.
  25. Interesting. I was under the impression that all of that stuff was suppose to reset when a home was abandoned. @Abnor Mole - Comment? Should things on the parcel be resetting? Some of that stuff could be very confusing to new folks.
