  1. In addition to the IM files, there may be files for Groups (if you have the Group Chat enabled), and one or more general chat logs (a single chat.txt or multiples with dates on them) if you've enabled saving general chat. Ignore the conversation file entirely.
  2. Thanks for confirmation. I didn't have a chance today to check this out, but was pretty sure it worked that way in Firestorm - for as long as I remember.
  3. Yes, I forgot about the gear. I changed the Skin that I'm using recently and that changed the layout of my inventory windows. The gear was on the old setup, but not on this new look that I've still getting used to.
  4. In Firestorm you can sort Inventory by date. Exactly where the option is on your Inventory window might depend on the Mode and Skin you are using, but the option is there. Mine is like this:
  5. Check your L$ Transaction History -- https://accounts.secondlife.com/transaction_history -- that will show exactly where the money went.
  6. (emphasis mine) Only sort of -- See my post above. When someone goes to my profile on 'my.secondlife.com', my profile does indeed look square. However, if they click the thumbnail it expands to the rectangle that I uploaded it as. When my alt clicks my profile inworld, she sees a square picture, but when she clicks it, the enlarged picture shows as 1024x512 My alt has a 1024x1024 image on her profile and it doesn't appear to have been shrunk. When I click the image on her profile inworld, it shows 1024x1024 as its size. While I am using Firestorm in the older Phoenix mode, the SKIN that I use is a current one and is still being regularly updated.
  7. This one belongs in that new Alt thread
  8. It does depend on the viewer you are using - and if Firestorm, what Mode you are running in. When I go to my web profile, the thumbnail looks square, but when I click it, it expands to the 2:1 rectangle that I used yrs ago when I uploaded it: In my view of the inworld profile, it is not the rectangle, but also not quite square: When one of my alts looks at my profile, she initially sees the same format that I do, and when she clicks it, it expands to the same 2:1 rectangle that the web profile shows. Inworld is all via Firestorm in Phoenix Mode.
  9. Land payments are billed in arrears. When the billing date comes, you are paying for what you owned in the previous 30 days. So, as Alwin said, after abandoning the land, there will always be one more bill to pay, for the 30 days ENDING on the billing date.
  10. The last time I got an old account reactivated, they asked me what city and state I was in when I created the account. That could be a tricky one because my current ISP always shows me at a city about 20 miles away. I gave them a few cities, explaining why I was providing a few. I haven't been asked about folks on my Friends list in more than a decade now.
  11. Open a Support ticket and give as much info about the account as you can. LL will provide instructions on what you need to do to verify ownership of the account. As long as you never requested it to be deleted, it will still be ther.
  12. Eventually everything will be migrated to the new system: https://feedback.secondlife.com/
  13. Download the LL Viewer first. Start it BUT DON'T LOG IN. Click Help and then ABOUT. Copy all of that info and paste it here.
  14. Actually, it sounds more like an alt of another body creator or an alt of someone that works for another body creator. The account dissing Maitreya is not even a full TWO MONTHS old yet.
  15. Well, for merchants that only rig for 1 or 2 bodies, Maitreya is always on their list. Apparently the market still wants Maitreya items.
  16. I want an 'undo' button for my Inventory -- for when I accidentally drag a folder to the wrong location. Yeah, I know - not really related to your issue, but your topic title reminded me of it.
  17. Today is Feb 10th, so halfway through the Valentine Shop & Hop event (which runs from the 1st to the 19th) and yet I still see this at one store:
  18. Here is some historical data -- very historical. It goes from sometime in 2009 through 2017. Doesn't appear to be updating any more though. https://gridsurvey.com/lindex.php
