If it was last night (Friday) SLwas very bad, we were racing on our track and it was so bad we could 'nt carry on. We could'nt teleport home, or walk when we did get home. I kept looking at the grid status but nothing was said about it.. As Kylie said,send an IM and a note card to the vendor,also a copy of your transaction history should help but the vendor should be able to see that on their transaction history

Excuse me, but i am an inworld merchant and go out of my way to look after any and all of any concerns my customers have even if it cost me money,so i and the other merchants in SL who act with integrity,don't appreciate you saying that about us, If you did 'nt mean "all " merchants you should have said some but not all

Knowing LL as we all know LL it is indicative of a worried LL about land sales declining,because of numerous reasons, the poor world economy (RL) not the SL economy and the loss of islands because no one needs them for businesses anymore when they can have a free shop on MP. It is of course, enticing not having to pay 1000US but we are still left with 295US a month and thats what everyone is complaining about, not the sale price of an island, We all have to resist this temptation because if it does 'nt work LL will have no choice, if they are serious about trying to get us to buy land,,,,, to lower tier. This is ploy, it's like the hard sell tactics, you have only two days to make up your mind and then it's gone forever, so people rush before its too late LL has created their own monster and in the process shot them selves in the foot,,, again,,,, ( we all remember the great open space ( homestead debacle )and others ) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,they gave anyone free shops on MP and people realized they can save 295US a month. For us to ever get tier lowered we have to resist this type of sales tactics,LL has to keep losing islands to be convinced they have to lower tier I am one who, if tier is lowered will very seriously consider a full region

I know it's a tired old line now but with the MP (marketplace) and it becoming the place to shop now, and new users being introduced to MP early, shopping there becomes more and more the place to shop, and inworld shopping is suffering badly from it,leaving many merchants no choice but to go on the MP and open a shop there,after all, they don't have any tier to pay there, just a low 5% on every sale to LL and enhancements, which is a waste of money I don't know if LL makes enough money from MP to make up for the land people are dropping because they don't need a shop inworld anymore to make up. As i see it , LL would be wise to drop tier drastically and make land more affordable, with the world economy the way it is, LL s business model regarding land prices is out of date and they need to get their head out of the sand and see whats going on around the world regarding the economy, they run SL with the view everyone is reasonably rich and can afford $300US a month for a piece of virtual land, many did use their business to pay for tier, but with MP that is more and more unlikely and inworld search works against businesses. And lets not forget emerging worlds, the price of land there is way cheaper than SL, so many are going to those worlds to start their business and get in on the ground floor before they become a business zoo like SL is with everyone trying to make a dollar. I belong to the second inventory group so i see the chat, and i see a lot of people taking their creations out of SL to other worlds, unfortunately many don't understand they can only take their own creations, but the point is a lot of people are leaving SL to open their businesses in other worlds We probably get a lot of people these days in SL trying to make money to try survive the RL economy, at least the MP is a low cost alternative, and really makes land obsolete to run a business in SL I really don't know if LL is going to go ahead with the homestead land increase at the end of the year but if they do they have no brains. I have always had a homestead on sl ( 4 years ) and i have my shop there so my shop costs me nothing and anything i make from the shop helps pay the tier of course, but my island has always been for personal reasons so even if i did 'nt have the shop i would still want my island, but with the way inworld search is and poor business because of too many shopping on MP, if i had my island just for my shop i would give it up If they were to lower tier to an affordable price they would see land sales start up again, but then again who knows, it keeps going back to the MP, why would anyone want land for a shop when MP is so cheap to open a shop But i'm sure many would want their own island not necessarily for a shop,but for personal reasons. yes mainland is cheaper but i hate it there,it's just too laggy, zindra we gave up going there,too laggy,a homestead is nice but the 3750 prim limit is very restrictive, so a full 15000 prim island is preferrable but just too expensive regarding tier

I could go into a lot on this subject, but for LL MP is purely a money maker, they tax every sale which they cannot do inworld. Yes LL has every right to make money,it is all their servers, but in the process in world shopping has dropped drastically. I recently updated my MP store, made all new displays and added more items, i also did what one is nt supposed to do, i key word stuffed, i listed all i had on all items, related or not,but i did have everything i listed in the store. Sales were so good i had thoughts of whats the point of a store inworld, but that was just a thought,i will always have an inworld store. Then i got a message from LL on my MP store, they had taken an item off because of excess keywords. So like a good girl i re did all my keywords propery, sales dropped to 0, now my inworld shop was doing better since i tweeked inworld search. I had one MP sale in 11 days,so i changed the keywords in MP again, late in the evening, now sales have picked up, i also had enhancements too by the way. Unfortunately keyword stuffing is the only way to get noticed There is just so much on MP its too easy to get lost in the thousands of pages, search dresses, 14000+ pages so my dresses are lost somewhere in that lot, skins 6500 pages, avatars 33000 pages, all my main items. I went to the last page a while ago when i searched avatars, i was near the last page I much prefer my inworld shop, it's a hobby for me ,i am always up there doing something, I also shop inworld to support inword shopping, in the long run MP is destructive to the concept of a 3d world, mainly inworld shopping ah but MP shopping is so much easier, of course it is, humans like the path of less resistance and don t have to travel around a silly 3d world shopping waiting for stuff to rez

I do all my shading and skin color in Gimp This skin is more on the darker side I also wear a face light,i find them more flattering to showing a skin properly and i provide a facelight with all my skins and avatars,,i also uncheck atmospheric shaders because with a face light one will appear overbright with it checked. I make those who come to my shop well aware of that with boards explaining it.(atmosheric shader setting) I do nothing with windlight settings, i have never adjusted those. What you see is what you get, no air brushing, just a face light to show the skin as it was designed to look

There is one very successful skin shop , when you go in their shop you see these goegeous air brushed pictures of the skins, i once paid for the skin and shape and it looked nothing like the airbrushed picture ( i bought it to see if it would look like the display,, over 2000L i paid for skin and shape) In my shop when i take a picture of the skin and shape ,i wear it and take the picture, no retouching, what you see is exactly what you get. It baffles me why that place and others who do that stay in business,, i'm sure they get a lot of disappointed customers I always include a shape with my skins,because i think many buy a skin thinking they will look like the picture, especially new bees who don't understand skins and shapes and what each does

Tried that,it does'nt work, there is a method to do but i forgot,but i definately cannot drag it onto the note card,tried that over and over

I forgot how to put a texture on a notecard,i did figure it out once but have forgotten,can someone refresh my memory, thanks

Read this, Phoenix will have a sort of mesh addition. http://phoenixviewer.blogspot.com/2011/09/whats-this-rumor-about-phoenix-viewer.html Sort of a clunker version but will be capable of viewing mesh as i understand it, I was at a dance last night, there were about 30 avys, the majority had Phoenix viewers,++ I love my Phoenix viewer and have no intention of giving it up until i absolutely have to. As for as mesh for clothes i could care less and i will not carry them in my shop,maybe one day i will have to change my views but not for now

If it was'nt for the fact i have my shop on my homestead which i have had for 2 years ( the homestead) i would give up my shop. It seems every "improvement" to inworld search LL makes it just gets screwed up worse each time,i at least got some shop visitors before but since this last change,i barely get 5 a day. The shop is more a hobby for me than a money making thing,i gave up on that silly notion a while ago. I did file a ticket before the last search change because i was dropping in and out of search all the time,all i got back as an answer was to put a space after the comma in the description,so forget looking to LL for help and why should they ,the classifieds is what they want you to use,no money in search so they don't give a damn about it or us,they prob keep screwing up search to drive merchants to the marketplace or to take out a classified ad,after all they can " tax " marketplace sales ,

I agree.i don't want anything to do with mesh clothes,i don't know why some feel the need to make them,i have an affilate line in my shop and was sent a mesh dress First it was nt anything to look at and had about 5 different sizes if i remember, and the card said one might still have to adjust their avy to fit the clothes. That is silly i have a shape i do not want to change, what about a mesh tops can we have a skin tight top like we can do now with non mesh tops There really were 't any instructions so i tried it, could 'nt figure it out and i did 'nt have the patience to try,maybe mesh is good for something but the old clothes we have always had are the best for me I deleted that mesh one,i will not carry it in stock.

Search is utter crap and it will never change,shame we get ripped off to list,although it is 'nt much it adds up for LL, Since the new search came into effect my visitors have dropped off to below 10 a day and sales are almost nothing. I held off listing in the marketplace because i always believed in ,inworld stores and not a 2D website. After all SL is a 3D world and shopping lag and all is part of the experience, Most of my sales come from MP now and that makes me sad,inworld sales are almost gone, It would serve LL right if everyone just had stores on the MP and gave up land because they don't need it for a store anymore which i'm sure has happened in many cases,and LL started to loose a lot of profit,but then again it would'nt matter now they have us all captive on the 2D MP,they would just jack up the prices there to make up. Hopefully soon another world will emerge like SL used to be and we can get back to a proper 3D world experience,i have no problem with LL making money but in the process don't screw us out of making money

Well all we have to do is check the grid status page like the failed log in message tell us so we will know what wrong,oh yes NOTHING THERE ,so nice of LL to let us know on the grid status page,i thought that was what it is for.

All it shows are 5 scripts in there I have 3 boxes,one for avatars,one for the items i am trying to delete and a new one for the new items i want to put in,i basically want to clear the shop of those items and redo them all

restart did 'nt do anything or a further 5 or 6 resyncs If i preview the actual page it says not available but not manage inventory page i need to delete them

About 20 times now.maybe i will try a sim restart see if that jolts it

Perhaps you could enlighten me as to what problems i am having with Norton that don't exist,as you just called me ignorant,oh sorry you said you would never insult anyone,my mistake That phoenix problem is the only problem i have had with norton and all it was trying to do was protect my computer for what it did 'nt recognize at the time as Phoenix was new and not enough people had downloaded it for it to know it was safe But as for being insulted on the foums for using norton is riduculous,its a choice and no ones business. I am a vegetarian by choice and what anyone else does is their business and i do not insult people for their choices and so on and so on. If someone has a problem all is needed is a suggestion not insults,but then again that says a lot about the people doing the insulting and i m glad i m not like that Here we go again,all i did was give the OP a suggestion and i get called ignorant

I have used the Phoenix viewer for a long time and it is one of the most used viewers on SL That being said,i seem to remember i had a similar problem when Phoenix first came out,i had used Emerald before that. When i first downloaded Phoenix,norton did not recognize it as good download and froze my computer,now norton does recognize it and i have no problems with the downloads. I had forgotten about that,not sure if your antivirus program thinks it.s bad program and is blocking it and in the process locking your machine up. Back when i complained about it i received many insullts for using norton from the forums .
