I have a shop 3500FT up,of course it is open to the public., above that a private change room for our customers. below the shop we have full sim size race track (at about 2500FT),we have orbs there cos it is private. Below that at about 2000ft, we have a private video room, orbs protect that. Below that we have private dance floor with a large tv, orbs protect that On the island we have our house, orbs protect that. When you arrive at our shop, you are very welcome, but if you should decide to poke around in private places where you should not be then unfortunately you will be ejected. I have a homestead and for a long time i rented space on other sims for my shop because we really value our privacy without prying eyes. Eventually we decided to move our shop to our island and set it up as we did, best of both worlds, our shop as well as our privacy

So much for the customer support group. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it burns me up when merchants treat their customers like that, ,,,,,this I'm s capped and notecards capped is a little tireing, no one is that popular they constantly can't be gotten too I had a merchant who ignored me years ago, it just made me furious, i tried for months to reach him, he never did respond so i put a bad review of him and his products in my profile picks, then whenever anyone searched his name or product my review showed in searach because i had his name in my picks. I got messages from quite a few people thanking me for the heads up, and also from others who could not get an answer to their notecards and IMs either. If a merchant cannot be gotten to because of capped IM s and notecards then that tells me that merchant is dealing with a lot of complaints. As a merchant myself i am always available to my customers

I know it's frustrating and LL will not get involved with customer / merchant disputes. Looking inworld at the owner profile, she has a customer support group,so i would join that group ,it costs nothing, Go inworld and bring up her profile and then go to her profile picks, then click on the customer support one, then click on the group link then join, then send a message to group about your failed transaction

I make and sell skins ,shapes and avatars so i have lots to choose from, i generally experiment wearing skins from one display and a shape from another, the one i wear now i combined a shape and skin from different displays and it was very nice so i made it for sale and for now and prob for the forseeable future it will be me. Before i made skins i bought a shape and skin and i kept that look for a couple of years, i am not one to change if i like the look

Sorry, i love my facelight, i think avys look horrible without them, i keep atmoshperic shaders unchecked otherwise an avy with a facelight looks overbright. And for my skins i find they are best, i have had a facelight ever since i have been on SL, i look at pictures of myself that i took when i first came on sl, without a face light, at the time i thought they looked good, but now i look at them and think they are terrible. I find face lights are very flattering to the way an avy looks, i really don't care what i look like to you, only my partner ,,and we both look very nice to us

Oh my mistake, you were being serious about a Radio Shack on SL, oh silly me i thought you were joking,well just goes to show you how one can misunderstand a very intelligent chap as yourself

that one looks good and much cheaper than the ones i paid for, they were 1300L odd each, this one is 495L, the description looks good

Well actually i did buy one from in world, it is a very good one, very easy to use, so i went back and bought a second one, but when you buy it does 'nt go right into inventory but a pop up comes up and you have to keep it, well i mistakenly declined it thinking it was a note card. They do not give refunds and they will not give me one, i have no way of proving i declined it, but as a merchant myself i always give the customer the benefit of the doubt. Also my partner wants to buy one too, but we will not spend money in that shop again So this is why i would like the opinion of someone who has one and where they got it from, to save me searching around

Can i get a serious answer from someone ,as to where to buy a good TV on SL ( one would assume it was understood thats where i meant not RL

No it does'nt show viewer tags,well actually it does,i use the 1185 version and all it shows for viewer tags is viewer 2, so it appears that averyone is using viewer 2,,,,

use the phoenix viewer you can upload texture temporarily for free, they stay while you are logged in.

LL is kind of shooting themselves in the foot,,,,, on the one hand they want land sales for the tier they can collect every month,on the other hand they like to promote the marketplace for the 5% tax on every sale and enhancements they can collect. The more people use MP for their shop and move away from inworld,they lose land tier,unfortunately they can't have their cake and eat it too (silly saying i know) As for search, i really don't think LL likes to worry to much about it because that is not where the money is,, the money is in classifieds If you look at the current top classified they paid,for 1 week 205099L which equals $827.91 US so if they keep that classified for one month they would pay $3311.60 US. So why would LL worry about those who don't pay, they are in business to make money and i really think their view is,if you want to be seen then pay for it. As i said before, when i was having problems finding myself in search and put a ticket in,, their anwer was, put a space after the comma in your search keywords,of course that made no difference, but it shows the level of interest they have in dealing with search

I had the lastest phoenix when it first came out but i found too many times it is a poor rezzer. Many times i would tele to my shop and half was missing,and did.nt eventually rez either,so i went back to the previous version 1185, i find it to be a better rezzer. ( i tried the new version a couple of times ,but found the same thing happening) I have firestorm ,but i prefer phoenix. I don't see enough mesh that i really need to bother with a mesh viewer

when i first opened my shop,i could never find myself in search when i searched specific products, if i put the shop name in it would come up ok, but people don't usually search by shop name. I tried everything, those products you can buy to improve your search ranking, also one that showed your position in search, i did 'nt have much luck with either. I filed a support ticket about not showing in search, all they did was tell me to leave a space after the comma in the keyword descriptions. So in the end ,(and i'm sure this is what LL wants cos they make money with classifieds), but i took out a classified ad ,just for a short time. After a couple of times paying for a classified ad i magically showed up in regular search in a fairly good position for some keywords (even after i stopped paying for classifieds). And i have stayed there ever since As for when search updates, i had that thing they call " the spider" you can buy it and it tells you when googles crawls your sim to update search. Don't quote me on this but if i remember right ,it's everyday

Yes i will agree with you, a lot of mesh clothes do appear realistic, in fact most look like they could be from a major department store catalogue in RL, But i find most females don't want to dress like that in SL, it's very conservative looking, look at the many females in SL who love to dress neko,and have a tail, in clubs, scantily clad girls. Sl is a fantasy world where you can leave RL behind and be anything you desire, dress in ways you never would in RL, act out fantasies

I tend to agree with you, i just cannot fathom the need for mesh clothes,especially tops, clothes are supposed to fit the avatar not the other way around. It's not that females in SL want to look like you described, they have no choice because thats how mesh fits, you have to mod your avy to fit the mesh clothes, Many females in SL like to dress as they never would in RL, but with mesh SL is beginning to mirror RL with very conservative clothes.(mesh) As for myself i really will not be wearing mesh, i am proud of my avy,she is made by me and is exactly what i want and i will not change my shape to fit clothes. I also use phoenix, yes my choice , and it is'nt a mesh viewer but it is funny sometimes to see people wearing blocks for shoes and strange looking blobs on their body for clothes. But that being said.beside my own clothes and skins and avatars in our shop, i do carry affiliate clothes and i see that all new clothes updates are mesh now,,,,,shame i prefer tight fitting tops, etc,,, i keep the mesh clothes separate so if someone does'nt want to be bothered with mesh, then they will steer clear of the mesh room if they prefer

My inworld store visitors have dropped drastically, i am down to less than 10 a day and thats a good day, lately is been about 4 a day. I am in search, so looks to me shoppers are using MP more than inworld, of couse if i wanted to spend 490.00 US a week to be top in classifieds (for skins) then i spose i might do better but i can't afford almost $2000 US a month for advertising and unless one spends a lot then your just way down in classified. I can understand merchants closing their stores, why pay for land for a shop when you can get a free one on MP. I won t close mine, i like my shop and it does help pay the island tier, but the island is mainly for my love and i to have our privacy, and race our cars on our sim wide track and shoot each other down in our jets.So the island has always been more for personal use than just a shop But it is disappointing to watch visitors dropping so drastically

I know what you mean Peggy,i chimed up long ago my views on MP, i do not like it but i did list my products on here but i have found it a waste of time, i searched my avatars once and found myself on ,if i remember right , could have been skins ,but i was on page 36000 odd so i never had a chance of being seen, i don't sell much on MP and i don't care ,its free so it costs me nothing,if i grab a sale once in a while then thats ok,my primary love is my SL shop I just hate that MP has taken inworld shoppers out of world,i, like a lot of others are looking at other virtual worlds where it is only a 3D world with no MP, I love my shop,it's like a hobby, i am always up there tweeking this and that,i say up there because its 3000ft up,so we have the island below as our private home,but the sky shop has allowed me to make my shop a full sim size, it is actually huge But i am with you Peggy, and have been of your view since MP opened
