  1. Hi Anaiya, I'm not sure about disappearing store issue, but what I am wondering is how you know daily views? We lost that capability when the old Xstreet went away. Right now, all we can see is total views, so unless you know your views literally day to day and you don't have many products, I'm not sure how or where you are able to see this info. I'd love to be able to see it again...
  2. I'd contact the Merchant and ask. So many possibilities: ~ They could allow different rules for another customer (their ip rights, their perogative). Who knows, maybe they charge a different price for different usage. ~ They might have updated their end user licensing. Typically, you are bound to the license at the time of purchase, but if they did change it, then it's worth a question to them to see if you can follow the new licensing. ~ The other seller could be an alt or partner or something. ~ The seller could in fact be breaking the original Merchant's rules by reselling the items (in which case the original Merchant would want to know so they can deal with it).
  3. Could it possibly be something related to maturity ratings and settings? FYI - when I visit your store, there are 91 showing at the time of this posting.
  4. Hi Astral, The Marketplace has a history of delivery problems since it launched last year and there are fixes in the works (so don't lose hope). A few tips that "might" help in the meantime: ~ purchase only 1 item at a time (the shopping cart and magic boxes which contain the items are tied to the delivery failures) ~ make sure to be online/not busy when ordering an item, otherwise the risk of failed delivery escalates ~ consider using the Marketplace as a "search" tool, find the item of interest, then visit the inworld store to purchase If all this fails, and a delivery still goes missing, you're doing the right thing -> read the Merchant's profile for contact info (some like im's, some like notecards, some a combo of both, some even provide an email address to write to for assistance) and contact them. Since all Merchants are different, the response time can vary. As a shopper, a purchase I made last week failed delivery and it took the Merchant 5 days to get back to me (and I'm a Merchant and I thought that was terrible response time, but sometimes it does take a while). When all else fails, filing a support ticket usually works, and support's response time has been quite speedy. So if you haven't heard from support yet, you might want to give that another shot. I wish there were a better answer and hope that your delivery arrives very soon one way or another. Edited to add: lol, Jacki, you type faster than I do! at least we say the same things!
  5. As a Merchant, when I began my business I did put the prices on the ad pics and after a while I was sorry I did. It meant redoing the pics whenever I wanted to do a sale or promotion of some sort. It also added unnecessary clutter to the ad pic. I don't put the prices on them any more. If it is sold directly from the box, I either type the price in the name line, i.e., XYZ Item $xyzL (this way a change for a sale is very easy to retype the number), or depend on the hover tips. I haven't had any problems with shoppers finding prices at all. If it is sold through a vendor, I set the vendor hover tips to appear only when the shopper touches the picture so the price and other info appear. As a shopper, even when I was a new, I really didn't rely on prices on the pics, I just clicked and discovered the price that way. The only thing that ever confused me was when I accidentally turned off hover tips. I asked in one of my groups how to turn them back on and got them back that way.
  6. Like you Marcus, I still see the "delivery partially failed" indicator in transactions history. Frequently, a multiple item/mixed cart is tied to it. My biggest concern is that the holiday season is approaching and transactions seasonly increase - the current shopping cart cannot handle the load as it stands today, so with an increase in that load (whether buying for self or as gift giving), who knows what will happen. I've had concerns about DD as the solution (holding out some hope that it can work), but, implementing DD during the high season for Merchants really just makes me shudder. I "wish" the shopping cart could at least be tested with fewer items to maybe minimize failures until we are out of the holidays (who knows if this would work until it is tested). Commerce should continue to test DD through the holidays without implementing it until next year at this point (my opinion obviously) because if DD glitches it will hit us all (Customers, Merchants, and LL) at the worst possible time.
  7. Mac, I haven't experienced this as yet, but I am a sole proprietor and don't have a distribution to partners. Best thing to do is to open a support ticket and create a JIRA with screenshots and info about the problem. Then post the link to the JIRA here.
  8. Wade, there's a JIRA that was opened after the Sept 13 deploy for this. Apparently, the item number or name is either no longer possible, or, deemed unnecessary. The order numbers and buyer name were reinstated, but not the item number. I believe there were a few others who reported that they want/need the item number as well. Since the JIRA was closed, you may want to go there and comment/vote/watch and reopen it. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4123
  9. I've thought about them, but since I don't like them as a shopper, I don't want to subject my customers to something that I don't like myself. I've got group joiner signs visible in the store, and even though I think my group membership is smaller since I don't actively "recruit", the people who do join are the ones who really want to. Everything is a tradeoff, but for me and my store and my customers, I'd rather lean towards a "quiet" shopping experience.
  10. Like Lyra, I download my transactions from the dashboard and the MP CSV every month and compile a "master" spreadsheet by month that is easily searchable. For quick searches, I always keep the confirmation email (it contains both the sender and recipient names) and search my email for the name. 9 times out of 10, it gives me the info I need for a redelivery. Unfortunately, since the deploy of Sept 13, the emails have been "intermittent" and unreliable, so I'm downloading the CSV much more frequently to keep track.
  11. While many of the written reviews did not make the transition from Xstreet to the MP, some actually did. No explanation why some got transferred and some didn't.
  12. I'm watching and waiting a bit. The Mesh dresses I've tried look very pretty in the pictures and on the proper model. On my avatar, the adjustments are quite a lot, and I'm not willing to adjust my avatar everytime I want to wear something (even if it means saving a new shape in the folder with the outfit). While I can modify my shape, many many people have non-mod shapes that they have purchased separately or when they purchase skins, so I am left wondering what are those people going to do? Also, I was disappointed when I sat down in the skirts - even though the skirt bends with my avatar, the same issue of the skirt splitting in the front exists (it looks really bad in system skirts and in mesh skirts - that stretched piece between your legs when in a cross leg pose), also I was wearing boots and due to the alpha for the dress, my legs were missing and you could see right down into the boots -> not a good look. I would find it very odd to go "shoeless" and sit down and have nothing at all at the bottom of my avatar where shoes/boots should be. So, I'm watching and experimenting. I expect it is just a question of time since it is such a new addition to our sl closets and tool boxes.
  13. lol, have you been looking at my financials? sounds just like my sales curve.
  14. nods. that's why I added the web search. at least when you look at the "old" data you can see the distribution of merchants making from $0 to $5000+ USD. It's old data, but interesting in the absence of competitors spilling their financial guts on the forums.
  15. The last deploy generated quite a few JIRAs. The closest one to the issue you are describing is: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4125 It may be related to your issue. Read through it and if it is, comment/vote/watch. If not, start a new JIRA and post the link in this thread. If you do create a new JIRA, it helps the devs if you have screen shots and detailed info for them (sort of goes without saying). Hope that helps.
  16. I doubt you'll get many Merchants sharing their financials here. That's pretty confidential info. I've found that you'll learn who's who in your particular segment of the market with time. But really, best thing to do is set your own goals and keep trying to meet or exceed your own objectives. A web search of Second Life Economic Metrics will pull up some info (dated and not sure of reliability) if you want to see some info at a more global level.
  17. im's still cap inworld, but they do go thru to email without limit (at least in my experience). however, if the merchant isn't looking at the emails because his customer service requires notecards, not im's, then he could be missing them.
  18. Hi iOthman, looking at the merchant's profile, he asks for a notecard to be sent to him for help. So, if you are im'ing him, perhaps he's not seeing the messages for some reason. Try a notecard with the transaction info (if you haven't already). There have been quite a few issues with delivery (more than usual) lately, so he may have this issue with other customers as well. If you don't hear from him, try sending a support ticket to see if LL can help you.
  19. This bugs me too, Pamela. I find that relevance and best selling are similar and the past 24/48 hour sales show up split between first and last page which makes no sense at all. It's been this way for such a long time now, I just gave up hoping it would get fixed. I'm so focused on what is "breaking" most recently that going back and looking at all the things that have never been fixed (reports, stale shopping carts, sorting orders, etc) is just plain depressing.
  20. Marcus, there's a JIRA with comments for this here: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4125 add comments/vote/set to watch They are working on it and you can see Brooke's updates and responses there.
  21. There is a new JIRA for this: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4138 comment/vote/set to watch so they know it is happening to more than just one or two people
  22. Hi Blot, there is a JIRA for this: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-2855 vote/set to watch if this is important to you.
  23. lol, Toy, dubious distinction that -> "Maybe they should hire you for QA" Unfortunately, this has taken serious time away from my creating and I'm not on anyone's payroll but my own. I want what we all want, a solid working MP platform. I'm happy to help when I can (and obviously, I watch these things like a hawk because they matter to me and so many others). I see the posts...whether they are reports of glitches, complaints, venting, even amusing banter (too little of that I'm afraid). I'm glad if I can help a small amount
  24. Brooke, I'm sorry to report that as of yesterday, the confirmation emails are not getting through except sporadically. I know sometimes there is lag in receiving them, but I now have 4 instances where the transaction is recorded successfully on dashboard, MP transactions, and the magic box notification of delivery comes through, but the email confirmation does not. In the past, there was a "lag" if the shopping cart contained more than one item/multiple merchants, but in these instances the purchases are for one item only from my store (no other merchants or items in the order) -> those email confirmations have always come through successfully up until yesterday. I believe there are JIRAs for delayed email confirmations, but I think those are different and related to multiple items in a cart. This time it is related to the changes deployed in the past day or so. Not sure what to do...I feel like the JIRA queen right now Edited: JIRA created: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4138
  25. And User Exceptions are continuing. I just had another. Edited to add: shopper has money in her account - she just bought the item inworld at my store.
