But seriously, I haven't had too many problems with random IMs. Mostly people ask about something I am wearing. Everyone has a different experience in SL so people should be free to do things that bring them peace.

I think you, you and your partner, should take a break from your main avatars and create some alts to have fun and reconnect by going to places you've never been before and simply enjoy second life without thinking about the stalker. You could try creating avatars with similar names if you want. Maybe even go shopping together and recreating yourselves. Just do things that won't identify you to the harasser. A stalker thrives on having your utmost attention and this is a way to break that cycle of dramatic behavior.

I know why this happened. The avatar saw you teleport in and immediately looked at your profile and copied it to their own. Ctrl-c and Ctrl-p. Easy to do. They then stood around near your to see if you would react to your profile copied to their profile. This is called trolling. They are doing or saying something to get a reaction that is entertaining to the troll. After you stop reacting they will change their profile back or leave it up until they can find another person with a profile they want to copy. In real life, trolling is normally done between people who know each other because the troll knows about their target and expects them to react predictably. However, on the internet and in SecondLife people will troll strangers but the outcome is often unpredictable and possibly not entertaining.

Any major currency changes in SL will have to be done gradually and monitored closely with the possibility of reversing the change. The SL user base might fall off a cliff in response to changes and may never return thus ending Second Life.

I never realized there was an outfits directory in the inventory folder tree. I just use the separate outfits toolbar button to access them. In my specific case, I think outfits are a good way to manage my clothing items. I don't have one avatar with a deep inventory but several with a smaller inventory. I can make outfits out of most of their clothing and manage everything easily. If we ever become cyborgs that can switch bodies I'd probably have multiple bodies living in different parts of the world.

It's because those who play SL are human. At least that's what i think we all are.

When I revamped one of my avatars who was part Slink and part system avatar, I tossed all the unusable inventory to a single 'old' folder and proceeded to get a brand new set of items. I've knocked down my inventory system to the essential categories and my recently revised avatars all have similar folder trees. I use search more often to find things like huds quickly and I use the save outfit feature to group items into outfits that can be accessed quickly. Instead of digging into my folders to get a recent hair, I just go to an outfit which had that hair and load it from there. New outfits are created out of recently acquired items and this gives me an additional sorting ability centered around the time things were purchased. I can still search the outfits as well and I can also quickly switch between saved outfits to get a visual inventory.

I have been using the search function a lot for general inventory tasks. I tend to need huds to control various things and instead of going through the folders I will just type a few letters in search to bring up what I want. I still sort everything to folders but I just don't need to see the whole directory very often now.

I don't recall having a crush on an avatar. I do really appreciate many avatars for being nicely put together. There are avatars that I can't figure out at all on what they are wearing but they look good.

All avatars have organs but they are kept in jars in a hidden region called the Land of the Intestines.

In addition to this, turn on avatar health in every region so everyone can get "killed". It will be like the Purge. After a few hours the whole thing is turned off until the next one.

I would get demos for all the LEL heads and try adjusting their shapes to match your Catwa head. Many heads look the way they do because of slider adjustments and they can be adjusted quite a bit. When you go through the process of adjusting all the LEL heads to a certain shape, the heads will have noticeable differences in features which make it easy to select the best head that matches the look you want. The easiest method is to adjust one LEL head to approximately what you want and then copy that same shape for another LEL head and make adjustments again until it looks like what you want again. Keep going until you've made a new shape for every head.

I would get a neural-link and then donate my hands to some who needs them.

After reading everything and all replies on this thread, I think we simply have to wait and see what happens. 😑

I don't help new people that much nowadays but I used help quite a bit. It usually started with me asking where they first learned about SL and why they decided to join. Then after refusing to get married to them I would take them to the Free Dove.

I've always thought in any online world that an oldbie is person who has been playing for several years constantly and has seen changes happen to the world. A person can have an old account and not log in often which makes them somewhat lacking in knowledge of everything that has happened and in how to do new things. I'd still consider that person a newbie just like someone who logged in for the first time today.

I wish we could have an AI figure out our inventory for us and we can ask it in plain language to clothe us. At a prompt I'd say something like, "I'd like my avatar to look like Velma Dinkley today" and poof the AI uses whatever clothes I have in my inventory to build an approximate outfit for mystery solving.
