  1. Dovahkiin, we adore you! Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal, (Dragonborn for your blessing we pray). Malukas enthusiasm is electric. Let alone her incredible voice. I love Juliet! LOL She rocks. Video by Mum lmaooooooo SOPA/PIPA disclaimer: roflz. Copyright >Bethesda Studios< arranged and performed by >Malufenix< 2012 no profit was sought or made from this posting, either Lindens, American dollars, Australian dollars, Euro, Krone or Septims o.0 is that enough ^~
  2. Yes I remember my first PC a Pentium 166 fondly, cost a fortune too. lol I had external/stand alone 2gigabyte 10,000rpm audio hard drives at the time, (stand alone akai multitrack system), which each drive, cost more than the PC lmaoo. They still work. :smileysurprised:
  3. Lol Ceka I know exactly what you mean. (whuups sorry Leliel, the reply went wonky, beg pardon) I would have to say though if you adore bling AND performance you might try and budget for a six to twelve month constant upgrade plan with the focus being on the second latest generation of stuffs. (date wise not version wise). That way you can have it all at a reduced overall price. I think if you tolerated one of those horrid out of the box retail thingies for sooo long, you would be in a constant state of ecstacy with even the second latest stuffs. Eg: i7 quad, G19 keyboard etc etc.. Uprade every six months is our method and in this case, you can either hand them down the family line, or sell them to family members who can afford them at a much reduced, (appropriate), price. This has kept me blinged out for nearly ten years now with custom thermonuclear PC's lol
  4. I was going to enter but all my Alts have the same last name as I do Which would have been a bit too obvious really :smileyembarrassed: Go Valerie!
  5. Core I7 3960X 3.30GHz, 6-Cores/12-Threads, 15M Cache, Turbo Boost, LGA2011 @ $ 1303 AUD Vs Xeon X5675 6 Core 3.06GHz HT 12M LGA1366 @ $1559 AUD 1. >> Faster >> (insert doppler audio effect here) 2. Double the amount of threadability lol 3. 15m cache Vs 12m cache. I can't find a performance comparison or thermal ratings but the numbers & pricing say it all. *This reply got thrown up in the air and ended up going to Kobuk o.0
  6. Be very careful Ceka. Top end Alienware, (I do mean custom Alienware - read multi cpu, huge ram, custom order), stagger when it comes to something as simple as SL. Would you be using it for more intensive apps & games or just SL? Oh extreme you say.. The Aurora is an off the shelf model & run of the mill apart from le' bling. Just go max i7 for now with big fast ram, 20gb or so, ssd or two and possibly SLI or crossfire, but you can get GPU's with 3gb of ram these days. Socket 2011 motherboards for example are in their infancy supporting only 1 processor at approx $1300 AUD atmo. The bling is the killer, starting with liquid cooling for example. The tower beside me is three years old and can take 12 fans, but theres only 5 in it. That's all it needs. If you really want to go nuts with your cash we could chat inworld if u want some "extreme" & expensive facts. Honestly, unless you are employed in an area that demands "extreme" you can get awesome & extreme power for maybe half the price of blinged out retail just by doing your homework.
  7. "Budget" is i5 Quad below 3ghz, (2.8 is perfect for SL - won't need custom cpu fan) and 1333mhz >C9 rated< ram, 12gb is cool. 1tb sata hard drive with >64mb cache<. Ensure your optical drive is >Sata< too. PCI express port/s should be >2.1< rated. Ensure you get the Win7 64 install disk, (singular here), with your purchase. Run ultra but pull back draw distance, (as mentioned), to say.. 1/4 Dont know a thing about AMD cpu's sorry. Just remember SL is a browser basically, not a full 3d application so be wary of throwing too much money at it if SL is your primary use for this PC.
  8. Wildcat Furse wrote: hey guys, I just left the contest (just posted a FUNcat instead) because I understand a lot of people are unhappy because Viale Linden has voted for me .... it's unfair and I know that .... I wish all the other participants much luck in the contest ... have fun!!! *meows* WUT! Stuff em! Who cares what the whiners think! If a linden votes for you.. well.. that's how cool you are ^^ hmm? and I'd have to give my vote to Valerie if you pulled out. Which wouldn't be a bad thing lol. I see your back in now, which means I don't have to go back to taking down trolls with poisened Dwarven arrows and a supple norse bow from 1/2 a mile away in Skyrim.. wait... that's awesome fun! \o/
  9. Save images to your hard disc will give you a full screen capture for free. (you will have to edit the image of course - and reupload = 10L). Run the maximum rate of anti-aliasing and screen resolution if you can. I work in firestorm, (phoenix, emerald) and have never had these issues. Save as "file type" affects quality as well. If you have image editing software then save your captures as a .png (portable network graphic), and edit it in your software. I hope this helps?
  10. Ceka Cianci wrote: wait.. so this is all over who might or might not be security? Oo Really? Yes Ceka lol! No one knows the motivation behind the claim of being "at risk" by one individual on the griefing feeds. Why the event would be subject to such behaviour is quite the mystery. SL at it's finest
  11. Yes that's a brilliant Idea. The sooner the better too. It would go a long way to letting machinima noobs have a lot of fun and provide a standard that everyone could work with..
  12. Any noted helper should be able to give you advice on this topic metinx ?
  13. That is a superb description of actual events Qie. Even moderately experienced builders may have noticed this, but not been able to interperit or describe it accurately. Thank you.
  14. Ann Otoole wrote: That's a shame deGebelin, we will all miss you Take heart from Stine Groves beautiful vocals : Her extraordinarily exquisite timbre is not unlike a certain vocalist we all know and love, hey Miss Lillie Songbird sissies united across oceans by common belief. (not sure wether Stine wrote this, but no vocal correction involved). Her nord accent makes it all the more ethereal. Hexadecimal heaven from Headstrong Feat's trance synth programming.
  15. Security details are the domain of the manager only. Speculation serves no purpose whatsoever.
  16. I heartily recommend everyone have their personal comments bandied about unregulated sites by those with fanciful imaginations every now and then As a matter of fact I encourage it. The results are always incredibly humourous and generally not flattering at all to the individual who passes such information on.
  17. Dresden Ceriano wrote: I attended last year's event even though I didn't care for one of the main sponsors... Hippiestock has never had any sponsors. Where or who did you get that idea from?
  18. and erm... sorry, what's that got to do with me? My post was specifically written that way because there was some negativity directed at him.
  19. The only thing that matters Paulo, is that you had fun. All the best & happy new year!
  20. I'm with Ceka. I was waiting for the "Leave Sopa ALONE:matte-motes-agape:" bit:matte-motes-silly:. Nevertheless a superb piece of information in a truly buttkicking thread.
  21. Works perfectly for me. The only problem I do have is that when searching in inventory and an information notice comes in, the inventory wil jump back up to the top of the open list, so you have to scroll back down to continue your manual search. I think V3 did this also and its very annoying.
  22. Recently I installed something that wouldn't function unless internet expoorer was the current version. Great way to kill your product. Can't say I know anyone who uses IE for like, 2+ years?
  23. Daz 3d development moves forward at an astonishing pace it seems. It is a very interesting product indeed. All those morphs and stuff are pretty cool.
