  1. Don't quit Facebook, that is unless you've had enough of the "bovine scatology" that they've put you through. Know, however, that Skell is right! I have heard from the people over at a place that I live (they offer places for some residents of the VIP to rest their heads), plus a previous lover, they said that some of them had to pull tooth and nail to get Facebook's A-OKAY to let them create an account for their SL avatar; oddly enough it didn't happen for me so who knows. The whole "prove you are who you say you are" checks out. Maybe someone reported you? Who did you piss off? lol
  2. I've been having QUOTE problems, and the tagging isn't working either... ugh... so I'll just post quietly and try again later.
  3. I don't know how else to describe it beyond the title. I would go to the "HOW DOES YOUR AVATAR LOOK TODAY?" and would attempt to quote two people instead of posting one reply at a time. But it's like...After a few minutes my text cursor will JUMP across my sentence, or the middle of my paragraph and no matter what I do I cannot return it where it needs to be so I can finish my post. The only way to fix this issue (that I've discovered) is to refresh the page and if I'm lucky it won't do it again - but it usually does. Could this possibly have anything to do with my chosen theme (dark)? My adblockers are turned off and unless it's something I am unaware of... I don't know what else to try; except post here.
  4. Rezology is worth a look, yes? Plus, the creator is selling a good majority of their creations for $L25** **MP only I would presume.
  5. Am I gonna be the one to say this? Guess so. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE CAPTURED - DON'T: A) WEAR A RLV COLLAR. (or at least not until you've configured it to get you out of a jam if this happens again.) B) DON'T TURN ON RLV AT ALL. (but there is a titler out there that requires RLV to be on. So be safe if you happen to buy it!) You silly goose. Be careful out there.
  6. Thank you so much, @Profaitchikenz Haiku! I do hear you about the copyright pictures, that's the reason why I deleted the thread; I did not see the watermark until I zoomed in super-close. I felt stupid because I didn't look first then ask. Instead, I asked then looked. I do appreciate the trick!
  7. Isn't it though? I've got like, five skin appliers in my inventory and I keep going back to this one the most. ❤️ To answer your question, this skin is from LEAGUE, the tone is MEDIUM; the Catwa applier is SADIE. Using a different applier for the lip gloss though, ~Shiny Stuffs~ Lip Service CATWA Applier Set.
  8. Kyrah... Good point. Love... Don't be so sure. "Hey, babe? What does the Salmon paste taste like?" What I had wanted to know...was how does one erase the background of an image with a ton of detail (using GIMP) without having to do it manually? I didn't know if there was a trick to just make the background go *poof*! I wanted to make a spank-tattoo with my boyfriend's name in the middle of a heart (within the palm) -- but then I saw watermarks in the picture and while they can be edited out, I didn't want to and felt stupid because I wanted to use a copyrighted picture - even though it would have been for my avatar only. Y'know?
  9. Haven't been photogenic 'cause of PC randomly restarting (thanks, Windows) so have a Throwback instead.
  10. If I may, Skell? Don't feel bad about having trouble with Skins, Finn. Everyone has to learn and since you're coming into SL during the Bento era it can be extremely confusing. Heck, a dear friend of mine needed help with Mesh bodies, clothes, and the like - and he's been in SL for about as long as I have! With some people, it just clicks automatically and with others, it takes time to figure out; but don't let it discourage you. We're here to help and if anyone gives you sh* for asking then they're the type to avoid anyway.
  11. Never will understand why I can't get this kind of pose when trying to take a profile picture- but showcasing the eyes it's a whole 'nother story. 2019 calls for a change. I've grown as a person - so Leesha must as well. Switching skins is one thing, but since 2010 she's had Heterochromia iridium. While it's not much of a change - color wise - the style changed to Central.
  12. I've seen one, I can't place his name, over at Muddy's Music Cafe a few times.
  13. @jeremy123 -- Your best bet would be looking over at Kinzart Kreetures. I'm not sure if they've updated their Eastern Dragon, but there's no harm in looking.
  14. I wish everyone thought this way. Granted, none of us do at first because we are always learning, but sadly not everyone grows. Years ago I was a part of a Fugly SL group on Flickr. I even posted there with my own finds! But now I look back and cringe because I was ignorant. Sure, it's fun to poke at the avatars with the odd proportions, or the over-muscled men, or the avatars with their, um... poles...out in the open and sometimes even dripping, but who am I to judge? If someone has their parts tinted wrong (for example, the skin around my horns, and even my mesh ears) I need to remember that their windlights may be different than the ones I am using. Where I am lost is when I wonder...Is it right for me to bring it up? What if they need help? I know I sure as heck wouldn't appreciate someone coming up to me saying that, "Your shoes are (so many) years old, you need to change them and--" shrugs.
  15. If I may? climbs up on the soapbox Second Life is a world teeming with free expression. A lot of people tend to forget that and are so quick to judge others while forgetting that in their screams of, "I AM A REAL PERSON AND I WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT!" that they too forget to treat their fellow Avatar with the same demands they make. It's the one thing I hate most about Second Life: The Hypocrisy. steps down To answer your question OP, if you're still here/check this thread...My Laoise is 6.33 feet/1.93 meters. That, however, is personal preference. IRL I enjoy coming up to my partner's shoulders and so that feeling also transcends into SL. I come up to my Boyfriend's shoulders in SL and he may be a few numbers taller. (I had a magnificent post going but every time I would type something or go to another line with my mouse to add to the post would vanish...So...)
  16. I too suggest DURA. I've had a few hairs from them back some years ago for a tomboy look and I loved it. You might too.
  17. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Gimme five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we... oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
