The Club Scene is old... Not one have I entered lacked a stripper's pole which, as I said, is getting old. I enjoy Lar's Warehouse though to be honest because I've been going to the Bar for years and old habits die hard, esp when you've met and grown to love the people there. Hello! My name is Laoise Rumsford and as the topic subject states: I am seeking friends! I will happily befriend any age, any gender and any sexuality. I've recently bought a new computer and need friends badly as my Second Life is lonely and the friends I -do- have rarely log in anymore due to time differences. I enjoy participating in hunts, attending concerts, decorating, and combining different outfits. I enjoy fishing every now and again and playing the games that earn extra linden (Princesses and Dragons/Magic Crystals) 'cause hey - they kill time and you earn a bit of cash on the side between allowance days. I love dancing, people-watching, an occasional bit of live music and singers, I like to participate in events (best of...) but rarely do them anymore. I love to make people smile and make their day better because it always makes mine. I'm not sure if I can do voice or not, on account that my headset may be busted? I'm not sure, it's been a time since I've used it last. I can cam-verify if need be though. But what does it matter? We're not going to sex. :P With that said, I am NOT seeking a relationship or Sexy-time. I am not seeking a Dom to control or "guide me" and while I'll give them a chance, I do not get along with cruel and arrogant types of people.

I don't know what happened. I could log in up until Yesterday. My firewall is turned off (for this experiment) and I am using Second Life's offical viewer, and Radegast for text - I cannot log into either. My internet obviously works or else I wouldn't be here now. The grid is up, but I am not. I cannot teleport home, I cannot teleport to a linden area, I've recently updated my viewer. Any suggestions? I'm not sure the issue, besides my Video Card not being 100% up-to-date and cannot support the tick? Could using a different viewer change things? If so, what viewer do you suggest? I'm using the one that I am because when I'd put on pants, Lao would sink into the floor... I've been away for some time so I don't know if anything out there is better. In the list, I have Basic and Atmospheric Shaders on, and Avatar Imposters. I don't care to have Transparent Water or Local Lights. The viewer I use is PROJECT SUNSHINE and my Video Card is an ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series.

Thank you for the reply! I have not heard of these three viewers you speak of. It could be because I overlook them, or it could be a lack of interest. I'll check these out later-on tonight. I have tried Singularity however, and it is - for me - buggy as all hell. I adore FS and I hate the fact that I had to switch out, and I don't know why it became suddenly so... difficult to use. ------------------------------ "Since Project Sunshine works on your PC, it seems that most things would run on it. I honestly have no idea what happened. It's almost like as if this computer suddenly up and one day said, "NOPE. DON'T LIKE IT. STOP USING IT." It still loads up and lets me log-in, but it moves incredibly slow and constantly freezes up which brings me to the point of overstress and not wanting to be online anymore. What rubs me the wrong way about the official viewer is just the fact that I've been spoiled by Firestorm having used it for years.

For years, I have used Firestorm. However it went to: "Holy Crap! Great viewer!" to, "Ugh, I hate you." Now, I have pulled several scans on my computer, and no bugs come up. The computer is from possibly 2004 or 2006, but she runs well regardless of an occasional lag in opening or closing a program. I have Service Pack 3, I believe I have all updates from my OS ((Windows XP)) and the video card works beautifully and hasn't given me any trouble unless someone in-world is being a dick and crashes everyone's video card. I have recently removed Firestorm, and have been searching for a replacement viewer. I installed Second Life Project Sunshine and while it works fine, it still rubs me the wrong way and I am eager to try to find another viewer, but I do not wish to drive my poor friends mad with the log-in, log-out that will come with testing viewers out as they are installed. What viewer would y'all suggest for a computer such as mine?

I hope I'm in the correct category. Anyway. Like in RL, I'm very protective of my personal space. And while I'm getting better, I still have problems in-world as it's apparent that no one understands this concept. Last night while I was dancing in a club, someone was watching me dance. No biggie, but as the night continued on, they constantly dinged my message box; the sound eventually drove me nuts - but what was really bothering me is when they stepped too close and I moved away, they would follow me and be right back in my space. I had to have a friend rescue me and by the end of the night I was relapsing (I'm Bipolar/Schizoaffective) So, if I were to get a pusher to get people away from me would this be considered greifing? I wouldn't say, use it on someone who stood beside me because they didn't see me, or to a group of people just to get my personal bubble built, but to people who purpousely approach, violate my space, ignore my warnings and follow me. Thanks! EDIT- I don't know how to reply.. The block/mute is something that didn't occur to me at the time, but I will use it. Is there a way in Viewer 3 to Derender people, or is just for particles?

I know they can't accept debit cards, the card can be run as both so I wasn't sure if it'd count or not. Ah well- Thank you!

A week ago, I was given my Mother's extra Debit/Credit card with a set allowance on it; I was thinking to use whatever is left after a few RL purchases to buy some linden for my Avatar. However, as the card is not in my name, I wasn't sure if I would be banned by using it. I've tried to send a support ticket, but apparently I don't know where to begin. Could I send a letter or e-mail to Linden Labs to prove her permission?

After I had preformed a deep clean on my computer, my in-world experience had improved some. There is a problem however: My Camera. Before things where cleaned up, my camera movements where jagged, stiff and only with intense paitence could I get the correct angle to edit something; now when I try and cam around it lags terribly; plus, when I roate my camera, my 'view' sticks to Laoise, rises above her head, sits as I continue to rotate and then repeats the process all over again. I had uninstalled; re-installed Second Life an hour ago, cleaned and then re-installed. So I may have lost some of my previous settings.. How can I fix this, if at all possible? I use CoolViewer.
