  1. I don't understand what you mean by "live her group". If you mean "leave her group" then it sounds like, if she expelled you, there is no need to leave the group as you are already out. If what you want is to get back into her group, there isn't much you can do about that if she doesn't want you to be in it anymore.
  2. The result returned by llGetTime() is not affected by a region restart. Your script triggering its purpose at the real world time you desire could be adversely affected if that appointed time happens to fall within a sim restart cycle.
  3. A friend and I did once take up a sort of very temporary residence in a house. It was on a beach sim where there were signs advertising the entire sim was for public use. An irate woman showed up and asked us, with a voice that had sharp teeth, why we were in her house and why we were doing what we were doing, in her house. I think her face changed color a bit too. Anyway, we went somewhere else after apologizing in small, ineffectual voices.
  4. Maybe it fell into the wrong hands. Do you have a lawyer? Better yet, maybe a really big brother who is good at finding people and making it really hard for other people to find them?
  5. This is a good "Thinking about things" couch lie.
  6. Imagine you would turn around, and see behind you four or five tables with chairs, a few big comfy reading chairs, then, beyond those, a few racks of greeting cards, recipe books and journals, a tea bar, and in the back, the baristas' stomping grounds (not literally stamping their feet on coffee, but you know... the place where they make coffee). Your camera marks the front door. Customers walking in would, after recovering their senses from laying eyes on the stunning figure seated by the window, see ahead and to their right two long book shelves full of books old and new. Nearer and to their right, by the other windows, a couple more tables and chairs, a coffee table, and some more big comfy reading chairs. The ceiling is fairly high. Multiply all this by approximately two and that's about what it's like. Oh yes, and also, loads of college students.
  7. That absent of an indent was actually not my intent. Now I feel more in debt to make my indents more consistent.
  8. I actively look for earrings like some of those I have in SL.
  9. Never before have I been dropping L$ as much as when I started going to events like the SLB14 shopping event, Collabor88, Kustom 9, N21, and others. This is also perhaps concurrent with the increasing quality and quantity of available clothing, furnishings, and various other knick-knacks that are on offer.
  10. I too was shy at first, very reluctant to talk to anyone. I remember a few times, when I would walk into an in-world store, if I noticed the owner was present, (which used to happen a lot more often than it does now) I would usually become very self conscious and leave. I see it was silly now, but then... it's just how I was, with many social situations. The argument "They can't hurt you" is true. However, I am reminded of the 'sticks and stones' mantra, which, in reality, is sometimes true, sometimes not true, and sometimes a little of both. It gets a little fuzzy. The thing to remember here, is it can be important to grow a thick skin. But it's also good to remember what is important and what isn't. And it can help to have a bit of an analytical approach. If or when someone says something bad about you, or to you, but they don't know you, it's really as inconsequential as a breeze. [image from xkcd.com]
  11. This reminds me of a smallish cafe/bookstore I was in just yesterday.
  12. At the moment I'm visiting a creepy place. This is my first visit to Arranmore. A lot of work went into creating this place.
  13. This is really weird. It's almost as if the earring has somehow been linked to another object that cannot be seen. I've never seen this kind of thing. The only advice I can give is the usual, try attaching it in different sims, try enabling some of the various viewer Developer > Render > Metadata settings to see if any visual clues are revealed, rez each of the earrings on the ground and see if there is an LI difference between them. Otherwise, I'm at a loss.
  14. I have many fond memories, some wonderful, some memorable for hilarity, some more on the bittersweet side, and some the development of which were quite unexpected. I post this now here to pretty accurately sum up one of the latter. The form in which I present it is appropriate for reasons I don't need to go into. I sailed my boat on a clear sunny day The wind caught my hair in a whimsical way Islands flowed by, gems of emerald and tan I daydreamed them stroked by the hand of Gauguin From under the waves there came a warm greeting And sequined reflections flashed to my eyes fleeting I glimpsed through the water an iridescent swish And realized I was seeing both lady and fish From the sea with a splash rose an elegant vision A face framed in curls both cupric and crimson Allure and seduction gamboled in her eyes With a measure of mischief, both tempered and wise Her words flowed like satin, her prose like a river And produced in my heart a peculiar quiver My mind was aflutter and my heart was befuddled Both were flipped over, all mixed up and muddled This newness had caught me off guard and surprised me That the me I had known ere contained this capacity Following hence this fortuitous meet She stole me away for dalliances sweet She danced in my teacup and I danced in hers Our cheeks with the flush mutual pleasures assures Sharing the pieces and bits of our minds Familiarity grew, sprouting roots leaves and vines We wiled away time through the moments and minutes Pausing only to find hours had passed free of limits Hours turned to days and days turned to weeks Appointments were kept, though at times only peeks Two hearts filled with joy, smiles gracing each day Each looking forward to what the other would say Dusk soon approached, unwanted and unbidden Foretelling of endings we'd rather'd kept hidden Two tides soon converged but with currents averse And bore me to on mine And she fro on hers
  15. ^^^ Insufficient button ^^^. Ivanova Shostakovich really, really likes this.
  16. This is called The Dreaded Alpha Sorting Bug. It occurs when two or more alpha BLENDED textures are overlain, or superimposed. It's been around forever and will likely remain. One fix, which is actually more of a workaround, is to set one (or more) of those alpha textures to use alpha masking instead of blending. The results, of course, are not as satisfactory, but it works.
  17. I have always tapped out three spaces for an indent for each paragraph. I would do this on the previous forum while composing a post, only to have those spaces disregarded by the software when I clicked post. Now the indent that I have always manually made is kept intact in my posts. If you make an indentation, it will be there. It'll just be less evident with very short, or one sentence paragraphs. You can always ramble so people will notice your beautiful indents.
  18. I was being figurative, rather than literal.
  19. We need a box that says "Frame THIS and put it up on my wall." Also, Hi Dillon.
  20. Go as deep as you dare. Just remember to come up for air.
  21. Sadly, sometimes mine sink into my hardwood floor. As a side note, I'm on the lookout for some nice canvas sneakers for my Maitreya feet.
  22. This is actually getting poignant. I'm feeling, acutely, more mom feelings recently. This is because, all of a sudden, I have a high school graduate. *grabs a tissue*
