  1. That's me as well. September 15. I'm both happy and melancholy about it.
  2. That first one is looking a little bit Bowieish to me. I like it.
  3. I would say Waterhead, but I don't recognize those weird dais things. That roof looks familiar.
  4. When my first daughter was two, we were having dinner with my parents at a restaurant. I ordered fish and chips. When our food arrived, the waitress put mine near me, and also well within reach of my daughter. Instantly she reached out and grabbed a lemon wedge. This was something I was pretty sure she'd had no experience with up to that point. A few microseconds after it was in her hand, it was in her mouth. She took a bite and made a face very much like this. She both held the lemon away from her face and drew her head back from it, looking at it with a "whoa, wtf?" expression. Then she bit it again, and again, rinse and repeat. She ate everything but the rind.
  5. I did some searching. That sounds like a nice free piece of software. But I think, like with so many good free things, someone stomped on it to make room for their own enterprise. All the links I checked out for downloading it redirected to Allegorithmic's website, and their Substance software, which probably isn't a bad deal if you make enough in SL to justify it.
  6. Is this a perspective thing? I mean, they want to have a lower point of view for their photographs? It seems to me one of the photographers is posing way more than his subject.
  7. I didn't know you were putting up all these snapshots. Thank you! I like the ones in the rain especially.
  8. I enjoyed Hippie's singing this morning. He's got a good voice. The particle show was nice, and magical. Afterward, I spent some time with an old friend and a new friend, catching up and getting acquainted at the same time. Then even further afterward (I had the day off), feeling nostalgic, I zapped around to a few of the places I used to spend time, at least, the ones that still exist. I once had a store from which I sporadically sold furniture back when sculptys were new and mesh hadn't come around yet. Near my parcel was a smaller parcel on which fire persistently crackled and sparked, getting on my nerves occasionally. I learned quickly that I couldn't really mute it because it was a temp-rez firepit. It would self-delete and come back again. In my explorations today I discovered that the fire is still there, on its untouched parcel, crackling merrily away and sparking like mad. Its owner is twelve years old and probably hasn't logged in for a long time. Anyway, I give you, the Undying Fire of Vexation:
  9. I'm relogging at this moment because I can't see my friend who is standing right next to me.
  10. I want @Nostoll to post more so I can like his posts because he's a creative maelstrom and I want to see what he does with his avatar badge title under his name thingy. No pressure though..... chill...
  11. Cheese?... cheese and pie? No way. That's like... the opposite of serious.
  12. I think a big dollop of whipped cream would make all of this much more serious.
  13. If you are really concerned with a region restart affecting the accuracy or function of your script, you can use the changed event to test whether a restart happened during one of your scheduled times. changed(CHANGED_REGION_START)
  14. This is a long shot, but I sometimes have this problem because my Space Navigator gets out of calibration. It also occasionally puts my into flying mode.
  15. I don't know if it would work, but it might be a good idea if we could get a sticky thread at the top of this forum stating a few (or more) criteria for posts seeking help with mesh issues. Very often, a request for help by someone will be followed by posts from potential helpers seeking more information about such things as the users workflow, project specifics, programs used, viewer used etc...
  16. I'm afraid I'm not taking this thread's subject very seriously. I apologize.
  17. Do that, definitely. Raise a bunch of money. Then when Rhonda laughs at you and closes the door, you'll still have a bunch of money to use on whatever.
  18. The small voice of urging, floating on the breeze says "Oh, but the dough looks so delicious. There are even a few chocolate chips stuck in it. The vanilla and brown sugar create such a nice, friendly smell........ can't you just taste it?"
