Yes, this is true in regards to certain issues with endurance. After I started the thread, I realized I should have had the title read "are we ever too old for a type of fashion".

I think it's supposed to look a bit ombre. The dye may not take evenly on Tulle or else it's the light. There are all kinds of colors though, even black. Here's two more photos. Maybe with sneakers it's looks okay too but I think I would wear tights and short boots and a sweater.

A tulle skirt. I like a lot of the colors...not sure of color. Here are some of the current styles to choose from...there are others things I'd need to go with it...but I think a chunky knit hand- made looking sweater, short boots and black tights is what I would wear with it. The first picture is really the one I want...but it comes in many colors. I'm not sure I'd wear sneakers with it though. A corset maybe (no just kidding - probably look like Madonna>)

Yes, this is the motivation. I feel I have been stagnating. This is exactly it. I'm not sure how to get out of my stagnation - yet.

From what I've read, perhaps pretty much but other articles say The Boogaloo Bois and their desire for "the boogaloo" which is a second American Revolution against the British may cross many "types" as well as involve differing beliefs and may include those on the alt left. I'd like to know if anyone has ever felt that there comes a time when we are just "too old" for something. I am pondering a dilemma in real life regarding a fashion I'd like to wear because I feel I just may be too old and other's would laugh at me. So, to put it simply, I'm bothered because I don't want to be laughed at. So, are we ever too old for something? Is carpe diem for one and all no matter what age? Is the world not my oyster too? Or, at a certain age, does that oyster and carpe diem extend only to youth? I also feel stupid for pondering carpe diem as I'm not going to be here forever for one thing. Yet, I hesitate.

There are left people involved in that second American Revolution which is known by the phrase "the boogaloo". All I can say is this in the hands of the authorities. And, for those in the USA, it's best to shelter in for a little bit due to proposed uprisings planned across the United States.

Hitler doesn't have anything to do with the Boogaloo Bois who want a race war as well as a second American Revolution to throw the Brits out of being involved with America. This is peculiar. Appear to be a minor or conveys the impression is extremely odd but makes me think of "Lolita" in particular and I mean just the movie here. In the movie "Lolita" there are no actual sex acts between the two main characters, only implied or conveyed. But, I'm going from memory here regarding the movie. So, I don't understand this "law" and I don't think it relates to non-implied forms of illegal child pornography whether virtual or not. There is a Wiki on being a child avatar in SL. One is allowed to be a child avatar engaging in playing with toys and other childhood things, and/or be a tiny as tinies are not considered child avatars. Tinies are small animal avatars here in SL that are like humans in that they walk, wear clothing, etc... Yes, probably. Because taking Amazon alone and it's content, there is no way to police all the Adult and graphic books that may go through Amazon's user content alone, let alone any other website. This is perhaps why the internet is often referred to as the new "Wild, Wild West" plus the internet was also full of pioneers at that time as well. Even with a cloud for all video games, I'd say it would still be difficult to find a real life adult endangering a real life child say on Fortnight for example. I think governments wanted to clean up money laundering more than anything as well as to make sure people are filing taxes on their profit if over a certain amount as far as any changes that have happened to the internet somewhat recently. As far as this, yes agree.

I had never heard of Section 230 and just read a bit briefly. What I find ironic is the timeline it came about which is just about Amazon's beginning timeline. I imagine all those "used books" going through Amazon were not coloring books to say the least and as we American's say "if you get my drift" as to what I'm saying here. All that goes through SL with it's possible billion and one items it could generate in a short time are impossible to "police". I have a life of my own and I cannot be SL's unpaid police nor do I want to get involved because as I said, I have a life of my own to lead.

I don't feel this is an issue of free speech. I feel this is an issue of public safety. To put it simply, innocent bystanders can become hurt and fatally hurt in crowds like these. If it were a group of punk rockers who had stampeded a club based upon a belief and were planning to do it again, I'm sure it would have been shut down in the interest of public safety and until things cooled off. That's all I have to say. I want a safe Inauguration Day and phooey to the rest.

I agree about it for friends plus it's needed for some business in SL - real estate especially and the ability to get in touch with your landlord for one example. How can avatars get more complicated than they are now? If SL ever realizes it does need to retain new users and does not offer an easier way to make a mesh avatar, sims could start up that are for Classic avatars only. I don't believe Philip Rosedale's vision of SL was all these complicated avatars. Philip's vision was sign up and have fun. Maybe buy a hair then maybe buy a skin in the "olden days".

It says BOM Skin for Lelutka Evolution. I did demo it. I happened to be playing with the lighting at the time and should have viewed the skin in a proper light - live and learn. I just looked in my folder, however, and there is a shape enclosed. I will try the shape and see how it goes. Maybe not such a waste afterall if I can make a good shape with the shape enclosed. Sounds like fun to try.

I think SL needs to appeal to the younger crowd and consider mobile as has been mentioned but I'm not sure it's land that new people want. I'd say most younger people may sign on because they want sex. I've talked to newbies and for many the thing they want NOW is sex and perhaps to find an internet partner. What turns them off is the effort it takes to make a mesh avatar and the cost along with extreme confusion about the whole thing - which head, which body, which skin now - applier/bom WHAT? I'm just going to come and say what I think...I think if someone came up with an easy way to make a mesh avatar in a wear-and-go way as well as much cheaper, SL could attract a younger crowd. And, have perhaps 10 wear-and-go females and 10 wear-and-go males...but still could be shaped if wanted too. So, say, a wear-and-go mesh avatar for around 3.5K with both body and head might probably not be a bad idea. The cost of making an original avatar in the 10-15K L range is not attractive to the younger crowd as it takes too long and it's too expense. Younger crowds want stuff n.o.w. Many dudes on the net just want to chat up a girl and then cyber, not make an expensive and time-consuming avatar.

It's a Lelutka BOM skin. I paid 900 L for it from a reputable company which is often on the recommended list by many SL residents. In the pic below you can see it doesn't fit on this nose and has a shadow underneath. At first I thought it was lighting because I was playing around with lighting but it isn't lighting...that shadow is there in all lighting. Someone told me about Izzie's nose fix. I tried Izzie's nose fix on it and it doesn't help the skin at all. But, let's not further derail the thread. I don't want to rush into another skin. When one makes a mistake in SL that costs a chunk of lindens, it's time to take a break and wait, imo, so that's what I'm going to do. However, this skin is not fixable. As far as costly mistakes in SL, they happen.

I have to say I'd wonder what is going on in the real life relationship that he is seeking attention and sex elsewhere. I'd assume he's in a sex-less relationship; and, if he's not, he's spending himself here (or alone in his home doing the thang if you know what I mean) that he's probably not interested in sex with her - he's spent already. If it were me, I'd rather my spouse be on SL than out cheating in real life because of health concerns for one. I'm not sure a SL entanglement would be a deal breaker for me. A real life one, most likely would. Relationships are work. If the two don't want to work at it anymore, they should decide that between themselves.

Good, lol. I don't want to be forced. I'm not ready yet. I bought stuff just last week and the items I bought included both an applier and BOM so creator's are not stopping appliers now...not in my very recent shopping experience anyhow. As far as I remember almost all of what I bought just last week included both. I was very happy about that!

Thanks...that's great! About Legacy. I found two pairs of pants I loved last night which are so cute and right on trend for 2021. No legacy size. Many clothes have no Legacy size. I think if Legacy came down into the Maitreya price range, she might be more popular. I'm not sure how Legacy really looks in pants though due to a gap in the legs it has. It seems like every brand carries Maitreya and that is not so with Legacy. Legacy interests me though but not at this price point at this time. In a Maitreya price range, possibly, as I love skirts and dresses too.
