Sometimes the world of politics is quite sucky, I will agree with you there. The U.S., Biden is now imposing sanctions against Russia with claims that Russia interfered in U.S. elections. And, who ends up hurting for a stupid Russian government that did that, their people. Some governments hurt their people. Well, if you have some work-around that's good but it is spilling out towards hurting others by being a nuisance now. Be careful with it though, it could end badly and people be left with nothing. The old wooden nickel trick. Thought it was a nickel but it was made of wood.

Two Factor Authenication (2FA)
JanuarySwan replied to Kimmi Zehetbauer's topic in General Discussion Forum
This is discrimination also. If 2fa has an option to snail mail the code also then there is no discrimination. Companies want so little employees though and artificial intelligence raises the profits creating profits to proportions pre-Covid never before seen due to not having to have so many employees. But, with certain handicaps or incomes, there needs to be an alternative other than just the thought of cell phone. -
Okay, I heard what you said, but this crypto-mining is becoming a nuisance. It's okay if it only effects you but that is not what is happening. Why do you need the item with the 20 dollar tax anyways?
-
Isn't this more or less the mantra or belief for those who want this virtual crypto currency thingy? BTW, I don't think these currencies benefit more than the miner themselves.

I have to agree with you, it's high. My bank better be giving me a free dinner or something. But, I don't have any suggestions for perks other than something that would go along with being a preferred or premium member. Freebie accounts don't get everything, so I don't understand this. There are Premium members who say they can get into sales right away while us free accounts are praying for days. So, free accounts get everything like...?
-
So, what about making those who pay $9.99 a prime member and they get some perks but doesn't have to be lindens?
-
Yes but some don't like it, I'm assuming some may feel they are being marginalized. So what about a perk of some kind for those paying $9.99? I believe SL overall has had land prices come down and prim allowances went way up from before from what I've heard; so, maybe some can look to the perks they already do have so this doesn't look so gloomy.
-
It's cool. I'm not panicking but I really would hate it if LL went all Premium. I don't really see a need for it as it allows others to rent off some of their land. If it went all Premium, then I'd think LL would own most of the land with the house being included for instance.

I hope not. I do not like automatic withdrawals from my bank. But, if it does, what's next...bitcoin mining hits the grid and everyone will need to buy $10 to $15 thousand dollar graphics cards? There is no change in my fees. I usually buy about 10,000 linden a month. At 1.49 twice for 5000 x 2 or 3 dollars for 10000 once, it's the same and the same as it ever was. Q: How will this impact the cost of my Linden Dollar purchases? A: It depends on the size of your Linden Dollar purchase in each transaction. We worked to ensure that most casual purchases will see no change at all. For example, smaller Linden Dollar purchases (roughly equivalent to about $20 USD or less*) will see no change in cost as the new $1.49 minimum charge is equivalent to the cost of the existing flat fee. As another example, a $40 USD purchase of approximately L$10,000* would be charged a $3 “buy fee” (equal to 7.5% of $40). For larger Linden Dollar purchases (approximately $139 or higher*), the 7.5% fee will cap out at $9.99 maximum in a single transaction.

I have a family friend who is a non-smoker and hates anyone around smoking when we go out to eat for example, but all his wives are and have been smokers and he's on his third wife. I mean some of his wives could smoke outside for example but they'd still smell of smoke. So, I find this weird. 🤷♂️ They do that where I live too in malls. I mean never spray someone. Give me a card with a fragrance sure, but don't spray me. I will admit I have been around some that are too strong also and gave me a slight headache. I am thinking of going for a lighter cologne, maybe more like a single scent, like orange blossom for example, plus I found an orange blossom hair mist. I'd like to probably at least go forward and experiment on the lighter spritz cologne or waters first rather too heady or heavy. I'm definitely going to try Champa though as I am quite intrigued about it. I love incense too.

I love Lavender too. I forgot that one. Sounds like you had a cool job. I've never heard of Champa. I'd like to look it up. What do you think of the French companies? I'm looking at Panier Des Sens products today - both their lavender and orange blossom sound good and it's a good price (best price seems to be on Amazon). I've splurged on some Crabtree & Evelyn Rose today but I'm looking to treat myself to more and try some new things. It's been a long time since I've bought Crabtree & Evelyn, wonderful English company or at least it used to be.

New FS Viewer...6.4.13...Looks Like BLEEEEEEEP!
JanuarySwan replied to FairreLilette's topic in General Discussion Forum
Uh, what does the 2nd post on the first page say? Do you even read any of the posts at all? What did FairreLilette say here on Page One of this thread as well as for several posts that there is an apparent bug with AMD and she tried Lyssa's fix for the AMD bug which worked for Lyssa but not for her. Fairre's 2nd post on Page One: "It's in the hardware area of the GRAPHICS. I believe this is something to do with the fact I have AMD and not Intel or something like that and I have to change something but I don't know what." -
I think I know why I admire Prince Harry.
JanuarySwan replied to Gopi Passiflora's topic in General Discussion Forum
I'm sorry...maybe this topic was in bad taste.... I would assume Covid-19 was the main reason the family did not see each other. I wouldn't take any guilt upon yourself for starting this thread anymore than someone should take guilt upon themselves if a loved one passed away that they could not see during the holidays of 2020. It was considered for the best for one's family to avoid gatherings last year at holiday time. There were no vaccines then, it was all taking a 100% chance if you did.- 111 replies

One thing I do admire about the boys, the children of Charles and Diana, is that they seemed to marry for love rather than a pedigree or wealth, and refused to be put in a fake marriage like their Mom and Dad. I saw one headline recently while in the grocery store, "The Royal's Think Meghan's Wealth is Shameful". To me, with the royals and the press, it mostly plays out as a dysfunctional soap opera.- 111 replies

How does America lack dignity without "royals"? Aside from the fact the royals are not politicians they are a kind of figurehead of some sort that look for contributions for charities or something like that. I don't know...and it really doesn't matter. America has a different kind of royalty - the innovators. The Vanderbilt Family is considered an American royal family but are only one, there are many. Gloria Vanderbilt could have sat around on her derrière never lifting a finger she was born into such wealth but instead she created the first figure-flattering jeans for women and built her own clothing empire and did not rest upon her families' money. I quick read the book on The Vanderbilt's fairly recently. America is a country of innovators. That is what's known as "it's face". The face of America is innovation.- 111 replies

This is one doctor's opinion and does not concur with Dr. Fauci's opinion. Why should we believe him? Frankly, I don't. Do you have any other links besides FOX News to support this? Sounds like wanting the stock market to be shorted back down - buy the rumor, sell the news kind of thing. The vaccine is supposedly already priced into the market but this is novel, herd immunity by April...? How so? And, ah...just checking now...I see...it was a Wall Street Journal article? Yeah right. (rolls eyes here) February Wall Street Journal opinion article, Makary predicted that the U.S. would achieve herd immunity by April. With Johns Hopkins recording over 60,000 new cases of COVID-19 on the last day of March alone, that prediction seems nearly certain to fall short. Makary said that unspecified "medical experts privately agreed with my prediction" but had asked him to remain silent about herd immunity "because people might become complacent and fail to take precautions or might decline the vaccine."

Regarding "reading" and what seems to be a sixth sense, dogs and cats seem to have this. I've had quite a few pets and I've had some that will only respond to women and these were both male and female cats. When men would come into the house, they'd run away. But, with women they didn't know who were a stranger they weren't afraid. I often wondered if the cats were afraid of men's big feet as though they might be stepped on and or if men's deeper voices scared the cats. Some animals do seem to "read" people but what I've found is most pets with strangers prefer women and will avoid strange men. My dogs too, a strange man comes in the house, the dog is barking. With a strange women, no, no barking. Actually this discussion reminded me of this today upon seeing a friend's dog. She never barked at me from day one or minute one, but when a strange man tries to talk to the little dog, she refuses all men coming near her and barks up a storm and acts like she will bite. And, also, my cats who have feared men also showed no fear upon meeting their male vets for the first time. It's just weird.

Animated Glitter Texture...what kind of script?
JanuarySwan replied to JanuarySwan's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
Thanks I will give these a try. -
That's great! All I am saying is it doesn't have to include only what is thought of a dress in that it has a skirt whether short, medium or long. Pants are okay too. I was really going for attractive attire not just what is thought of as a woman's conventional dress. I really like the clothes you posted from Amiable as well.
