  1. An SL resident in Russia's opinion of Gay PRide, or other community events is irrelevant. We have lived in RUssia, and they have many issues with ego to work through, and struggles to over come, more then their opinion of pride and people rights are concerned, since it is very lacking. Linden Labs is a US owned company. Second Life regulations fall under that. The founders aspects will continue in support. Who someone wants to vote for and the declinign stability and rising egos need to be left out of the community with focus on support of each other as well as compassionate understanding. If the event is for people who are known to slander others, you ccan bet it won't be approved. If it is about inclusion and growth then it will.
  2. I will be decorating the Buddhist center on variosu holidays. Durign buddhsit ones, the cedor will ramin the same. During Hanukkah, Solstice/Chhristmas ect the Standing Buddha statue will be replaced with holiday tree and decor.
  3. very true. To the point. People's wellbeing, rights and factors that don't cause others harm except maybe their fragile egos is not political power. but ethical powered. It's sad to see racism, and phobias that are ego driven surface today, but the way you combat it is using wisdom, but also presenting oneself as compassionate and support of tthe happiness of others.
  4. NEVER MIDN SHE ALREADY EXPLAIEND HOW TO EXPORT TO COLLIDA THEN TO BLENDER AND TO MESH FRAMING.
  5. Come by the Bellisseria Buddhist Center for open talk (voice will be permitted) and community unity. All are welcome. Salad bar and coffee center available. Website: www.Bellisseria.center Map: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ambition/140/33/22
  6. Our center doesn't focus on cultural aspects of it is what the post said. THere are cultural aspects in various types, but that is not core dharma and westerners need to undersnad the difference. Example in Tibetan schools buddhism, both Mahayana and vajrayana, you have the core of the schools and approaches. Mahayana focusing more on the writings and scholar approach, while vajrayana combines that, but in less amounts, with the more direct "Grab the bull by the horn" practices of ngondro, starting with the core refuge and understandings, the Bodhisattva vows and prostrations, diamond mind practices, and Guru yoga practices. The tibetan cultural aspects are irrelevant to westerners, and seasoned rinpoche's explain why you should not confuse the two. The traditions are not Buddhism, but cultural. and nt the core aspects of dharma. What you wear, the use of horns and pali drums, and other traditional aspects (even some derived from old bon traditions) has no benefit to the mind itself. Kagyupa centers remove the tibetan traditions totally. The focus is practice and meditation and transformation of mind. Zen Buddhist in the west take similar approaches. In the western world the traditions are not important, and our culture is different. Mixing in another countries culture have no benefit. There are cultural differences yes, but core dharma stays the same in schools. In the west the wording changes to ours. Mantras are still recited in focus in sanskrit when you have an understanding of it, but they may also be done in English. THe focus is hte vibration and removal of obscurations, rather then words. As i stated "The core dharma does not contain cultural aspects" which is true. The cultural aspects are fluff from cultures but not the core. Depending where you live, you will find most centers open to public and westerners don't contain cultural aspects, and explain why it is not a factor in the western culture.
  7. oh i see that it was resolved. glad the bug in the house was fixed.
  8. While I run a Buddhist center, Buddhism at it core is a non deity based, self reflective system, and the discussions are based on self reflection, wisdom and compassion, without personal faith based aspects which it does not contain. On other religious aspects people would have to have personal ran as well. It is not something LL would get into or be able to support as it could cause favoritism of one over another, unless a unitarian approach. Personal home gatherings are up to individuals. THe same with A Buddhist center, I run it based on the core aspect that do not separate anyone in the community. When dealing with dharma, you must be certain people are getting the correct information and not a mix bagged version. THe other aspect is we focus on wellness, dealing with stress, ailments, and how we transform negative emotions into positive to reflections for all. Even tho buddhism is grouped for status reasons into religion, it is not a religion in itself. THe core dharma does not contain cultural aspects. All tho a United Federation Of Planets church would be funny.
  9. I meant to put SL instead of LL. But it is an official Non-profit recognized by Linden Labs for education on disabilities and programs offered. I have doen work with them as well as Business side eduction on employees with disabilities including having staff be logged in for the seminars.
  10. People know darn well some breedables cause issues (unless those set to low script use or load of web servers that track stats). Using a linden home for those purposes means they are trying to circumvent things to see what they can get away with. Animesh horses for appeal is not an issue. having 10 or so smooshed in a house for breeding purposes would be seen more as a commercial aspect. They know exactly what they are doing. If scripts don't affect other residents it's not an issue, and what is hidden doors doesn't matter. in the case of that parcel the script count was putting a strain on sim side resources, limiting the totals to others, since then it was down sized. Luckily scripted items are becoming smarter in use. As far as large community events. We want community events. However residents take precedence. The parades were fun and a great get together thing. they need to be stretched out in route length. to disperse people more. Party events are great social gatherings to destress. It seems linden LAbs is going the route of having a sim for such things that will not affect residents. The fair grounds ect. Which means they support the community get togethers and also think they are important.
  11. it's simple to understand it is in regards to those who "Cash out" and the pending USD value is show in cash balances that can then be transferred to papal ect, or the new tilia service transfer options. You will not incur a fee if you have no USD valued linden that has been "Cashed out" waiting transfer to a real account. In regards to those who have virtual businesses that cash out to real life, yes you will have to provide all the information. Since it is real life earnings, transfers, and money movement, it must comply with the regulations imposed on Linden Labs,
  12. Virtual Ability is the official LL place for that but in the community the Buddhist center does have wellness talks planned involving help with neurological conditions, cancer wellness and meditation, and dealing with certain other conditions. The neurological and pain management one will not be until august.
  13. Thought the cov does not permit breedables like that. Some of those things are crappy script hogs. Others have to be put in llow script mode, or are ones that stats update via a web server and are just sent the data from there. THat is also tacky, most palces have breedable sims for htat purpose, and that is nto the purpose of linden homes.
  14. Defiantly report that, and that neighbor needs to go permanently, that is a direct violation of the COV.
  15. since you can't restore to last position on the parcels and rez system would def work best. as logn as items can all be edited to drop postion script into each item wile rez fauz is out ten put copy of items in the rez faux.
  16. Keep an eye out for the bellisseria bears and llama
  17. The never totally solved the fire issue on Sims games, so they got rid of it, don't think the alarms and response will work right on SL either. I think it's a conspiracy of Skynet. Or the Matrix .
  18. It's https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ambition/120/32/0 You can Join the group: Bellisseria Buddhist Center. Website is http://www.bellisseria.center
  19. only 10 on my sim for house boats. The parcel is the Buddhist center and open to public but rarely more then 4 others on the sim aroudn me. Feels lonely except when we have meditation get togethers. I'm on the outer back edge of the pickle so its a bit isolated.
  20. One thing Linden labs doesn't do is fraud members. The company didn't need to make the new continent , but did. They doubled prim, and are actively working hard to bring a new generation of linden homes and a more fluid community which is their goal. In the early days, Linden labs has spent alot of money on new servers. To give you a hint the original server house hit just over 30,000 servers. Add in the costs to maintain the servers houses, the cooling systems for the blade systems and rooms. The backbone cost, massive electric bill, the employees and further development of their pride project. It took a lot to keep it a float. Then the shifted to new classes of servers costing more again but cutting back on how many are required. Now the cloud shift that will require a lot of cloud units but cut out the electric bill on the on demand homesteads. They work hard, struggled for awhile to keep ends met. Expanded to give options to people, including disabled people who SL changed there ability to survive in life. They are working on the homes, the continent is planned to be massive and amazing, so be patient, your new home in a massive amazing community is coming. THey want you to feel at home, so give them time to make it right.
  21. I'd say no. That's why I made a Buddhist center. Im paying a small fee and opened it to the public. MAde it for community support and education. Since we are non profit in RL, there is no sense of having tips in a virtual world since We receive RL donations and in our way of thinking we are supposed to do something for the community out of pure compassion. Including a place to stay while waiting for a home. If theer are peopel runnign pubs or cafe's, tip privately if they are working hard at providing an experience.
  22. Hints of the Upgrade were aimed at a smaller version of a private homestead but at a higher price level. So you are probably leaning towards a 15.00 or 30 something per month price tag.
  23. Most of Bellisseria looks wonderful. External decorations add to it. SMall group transformed into cafe's, meditation spots open to ublic (once again keeping with the flow and decor of the area) adds to it. What has already happened is people creating claimed authority groups that have harassed residents by telling them what they can and can not have (trust me, Lindens check, I had a religious fanatic harass me because of the Buddhist center, and they appeared and said they loved how it looks and warned the other person). Being compassionate in talk helps the community learn from each other and make it grow. Arrogance will create divide and isolate you. The other incident was with a person from one of the claimed Police groups. They harassed people on the roads and Im's, and as a result have been banned. Rping nicely is one thing, trying to gain any authority will result in complaints and removal. We had a pride parade yesterday that was nice. Had our float in it. However next time it would be better to plan the route along a large square 4 sim route as to many were in one sim to even allow the floats to enter. each sim is set to 59 avi's.
