  1. Some of our people on Lord of the Rings RP have found nice ones to RP those families originally from south of Harid lands in Middle Earth. Can try to look at Khisah's skin on the sim when she is on. There is another that plays a Warrior female Harridrim with a nice skin.
  2. 2 friends texted me about 1 misn ago statign they can not get o nthe sims to do daily management tasks for te same issue. One said she updated a hud and started her routine and she suddenly could not rez thign correctly. Then tried to delete a doubled item and it wouldn't delete. She logged out then back in and got that message.
  3. When I build. edit, work on sim I prefer Firestorms robust features. When in RP and looking around I prefer Alchemy or Catznip so I maintain higher fame rate with shadows and effects at max (in alchemy i do bump the LOD up above its default using debug). SL is very CPU Dependent. So with an I9 or higher end AMD's that are 8 or more cores with IP double cache, you will perform better. Yet some of the viewers offset textures to the GPU better then the SL default viewer that is planned to be redone after the merger.
  4. Todays SL Dj's can't expect to be tipped by everyone. SL Auto mix, playlist DJ's are a dime a dozen. Mixing off a live deck with licensed music and software without breaking LL TOS is another thing. I mix live, I do it to entertain and SL is not real clubs. You are usually contracted by a real club with a set payment per evening, or for services. Tipping doesn't very often happen and more often not allowed these days. In SL yes tipping a DJ is courtesy. At least for a DJ who takes live requests, is active over the mic, professional, and keeps people entertained. If you raise a stink about tips, you can be assured you won't have many staying for sets very long, nor returning. If you are brought into a venue to DJ by a sim owner, they are interested in how you maintain the flow or users and if they are satisfied. If people are they will tip, but never are they required to or obligated in any way. Some can't afford it or some not feeling the vibe, or some simple tight wads, which in any case is simply a factor that won't change. Your focus should be entertaining as an entertainer. On the note of licensed music. You are covered if under an umbrella licensed service. If you rip it off youtube or a cd it is not licensed for broadcast and yes the owners can have LL take action. Especially if a person is cashing out for RL profit it becomes crime, regardless of where you are. It best to cover yourself with a service that has the legal licenses in place. Not use ripped software. I have DJ'd on SL o the main account and for official linden events, and yes you better have the docs in that case. IT not expensive to be signed up with one that is licensed for broadcast through reputable software.
  5. Virtual DJ didn't DROP their service however it is through a new licensing company. Old memberships may not have auto rolled over. What is available is based on the contracted license fees at that time. It will change on a regular bases between periods. They all have fee's, that is the only way to stay legal. If questioned keep your license service key ready. With the full licensed pro edition You can use other licensed services for broadcasts. Still to many ripping off youtube and other services, wish they will implement digital static to prevent it. Usually you can tell when its ripped. Every DJ broadcasting actively has to have a service or license to broadcast. Not a club itself or a land owner or in many cases Renter. The software also needs to be freeware or a licensed copy. There have been cases when individuals have been asked to provide proof. Linden labs is waived of any action, and it is solely against the person broadcasting. More often the complaint comes through to the streaming service such as Icecast. The ip and ISP provider you connect with is provided by them if a complaint of infringement is filed. Average licensed services 180-600.00 USD per year ($20-50.00/month) It depends on content they have available for licensed use. The more they do the higher it will be. Ripping music is against linden TOS. IF a complaint is filed by a company, they suspend accounts pending litigation. It is best to be sure you have purchased and licensed music and proof of it. Doesn't mean it will but it is certainly a possibility. There are another factors in cases. If a DJ is broadcasting Published music and making a profit, they must have proper licensing at all times. (Would have to cash out via TIlia or take correct donations or payments for the service. Linden itself is not profit if kept in game). For us we already have licensed use as out of secondlife DJ's. IT is better to have yourself covered. it's not that expensive to have base library access and cover yourself.
  6. THat isn't exactly normal, even our third pc ith a ryzen 6 core and 5500 sereis get's higher. But Secondlife is CPU not GPU dependent. Still should be gettign 40-70 fps with dcent draw water reflections, advanced on, shadows off (CPU throttling should be turned OFF and no AMD cool n Q. on or it will lower frames) On my I9 all except shadows (advanced on) (water reflections on) at 360-400m m draw LOD 4 (really doesn't hit most systems that hard) a setting of 2 is rediculous low, its fine if you want things fadign in detail at a distance and beign a mess. On a I% and higher 3.0 is fine (i9 4.0 isn't even goign to touch it.) I get 90-125 fps depending on how many others are in the scene. Shadows on drops into 50's so you need to reduce draw distance. More avatars on screen drops it as well. Some reason the ryzen isn't getting what it needs and threads is a viewer issue. Have better control with my IP to push the threads over to 1 primary core efficiently or offload onto multiple. GPU's are NOT going to make a big difference, nor will getting a RTX 3080. It is dependent on the CPU. Forcing the Opengl handler also will not affect it because of how outdated the viewers are with OPENGL. While some textures can be offloaded to a gpu, it's simply not going to skyrocket your FPS unless using alchemy which actually drops your LOD to 2. Linden needs to overhaul the engine. It's the main issue, most CPU's can't use it own features, and GPU's are just not utilized. Shadows are not handled well at all and until they over haul it's not going to improve a whole lot.
  7. I notice some big improvements, however FPS will have alot to do with the browser used, and graphical settings. On a I9 system with draw at 512m LOD 4.0 advanced lights on, but shadows off I get around n120 FPS with about 16 avatars near. WIth shadows on and water reflection to trees etc I get 50 to 60 fps. IF I raise shadow detail manually up to very high and smooth it will plummet (firestorm), I get better performance with alchemy if sacrificing some features in interface isn't a big issue, but for video I raise the texture memory use higher which helps a lot (remember if multi viewers are used it will divide the total per viewer active on Nvidia cards). Item details, the way they are created, what people are wearing and loading up front, will cause your FPS to drop. The performance has increased on their end by a great margin, but that is not how SL works. On dual core processors that are older it will be low. Sim restarts: Are much faster on Cloud servers. A full sim restarts in a few minutes and is ready to go.
  8. DOn't expect those services to migrte yet. Until all sims are, and they only have moved partial others over so they are cross communicating. Expect a fix but around april.
  9. I've seen to many sick and struggle with it, and pray no more contract it and have a severe case. Even a friend, healthy, jogger, and never would suspect him, who also wore his masks, but went to one gathering, then got sick about 7 days later, and was hospitalized and after 22 days or so passed away, and family was barely contacted throughout it nor could visit. I don't want any more to have to suffer on either part of it.
  10. I haz 2 kitties. THose are differnt, you can have zoobies, Kittykatz etc. tis massive heavy scripted things that cause issues, luckily many time they are recripted when makers learn to offset thigns to servers.
  11. I was asked by other to look at it and AR it . IT seems the building for these pets is massive i nscript CPU time. 1 is equal to 4 of my horses. There are 6 building thingies and 6 pets out. I try to limit scripts. We build the buddha center in a new location but not much is scripted other then sits and the gatherign food table but its well scripted and low. We did the horse ranch so people can mount and ride the animesh water horses out onto all the sims (public accessed version) with Help we made a rezzer to tep rez the mountable ones so if they are not mounted i n1 minute they disappear. Then 2 out in stall people can work with or use the pose animations with. I check my scripts with a script coutner and its way low to keep optimized, sometimes I take out animations in the seats leaving basic ones for people.
  12. soem pets and newer scripted horses ect are fine. Some are not. I have a neighbor with Krafty battle pets lagging all of us. a neighbor pointed it out and 2 others and they are annoyed that anytiem they log in and pop them out in mass we can't even move objects on our parcels and sim goes red. IT really depends on the object, scripting, and number. example horses while riden that are animesh have a 200mb memory use and upto .005 tiem dialation. A kraty pet uses 500mb+ and 0.05 to 0.09 each. a bunch hits well over 1.5
  13. Not al ltemp rez are free rez items. For the Bellisseria Horse Farm, the ones the community can rez as temps, so they will disappear if not used or if dismounted anywhere. However once rezzed even as a temp it will count against the parcel until lit disappears. But disappears after 1 minute. it's set that way so horses disappear and clean up the parcel. But once mounted they can be ridden off parcel across all the sims, until you dismount.
  14. limiting excessive scripts helps alot. All was fine for me an neighbors ridign aroudn on horses until this neighbor logged on with a friend and popped out a parcel max full of Kraty battle pets. The script time on them are rediculous, 1 is equal to 3-4 horses animesh ones. HE has out 12 or more and we suddenly lagged so bad we couldn't move a single object or change clothes. its a NO!
  15. even tho this is old. I nthe new homes, prim is not the only thign to concider. Certain pets are fine, even newer type horses with better scripting. Old things, battle pets, ect that run 400mb or more each in scripting with 0.05 or higher each CPU time is a no! Krafty is one of the NO! havign a bunch out will lag the local sim causing issues for others. I got notified by 5 others neighbors they are mad at oen person with 5-12 out at full prim limit causings a 1.9 to 3.5 laggy time dialation on the sim. ITs gotta go. We cant even move objects.

Students and memebrs can pick a topic to research and give a talk on. (Teachers who join to educate members must have credentials to teach Buddhist Principles, or Health and Wellness talks) Bellisseria Horse Farm: Horse Farm MAP Enjoy the ranch and mount up on any horse or rez one if not available, and go riding across Bellisseria. *Features Waterhorse Animesh horses).
  17. updates the centers new location is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Charity Ridge/85/104/58
  18. yes please, n a Dine Navajo lanscape and navajo mountain like area.
  19. seems confusing. If they are spamming in IM while on a parcel asking or checking property owner names and asking just block them. Id message back saying, I'll abandon my house in Texas before my house in SL. Then block
  20. Unfortunately SL's current engine is simply antiquated. I have 1 system that is a 8 core I9 with a new RTX 3090 and another that is a 12 core I9 X. SL is CPU extensive but sadly its also using opengl that is too old even with the opengl vexttor on. High settings with advanced lightening n it runs 90 fps. The moment you add shadows and draw over 200 it is hit hard due to the old code.
  21. geez the continent got so large. Took hot air balloon out and still flying over it a hour later. Not counting connecting to mainland.
  22. rejoined and got a Victorian. Decorated for Xmas. Feel free to visit. Backyard is for kids (avi's) with santa work shop. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sykesbury/192/216/35 All be it the buddhist meditations are just group events but will not start until after the holidays and be in a sky box with live streams. Reindeer appear larger then normal in this lens.
  23. They come and go. I reactivated premium saw a cabin pop but it snatched fast, then took a victorian which i actually wanted and got it. No crazy about the stilt homes layouts.
