Maybe they should make it a "tick box" subscription, like a streaming service. I wouldn't pay L$299 because a lot of what's discussed above I would never use. But if options I WOULD use came in at maybe half that, it would get my attention.

Transferring Lindens from my dashboard would be a huge benefit, that's a great idea @Mercedes Avon I would also like the option for "one user name change" per year's subscription. A bit more stipend, say L$500.

The unpredictable unpack policy was a nightmare when I was new to this. Now I dont care. All my deliveries are put in a deliveries folder sub divided into hairs, clothes, shoes, poses, misc, and so on. I don't need pictures because I use saved outfits, each is summarised in the outfit name, and listed in a word file, which is colour coded. I demo all hairs and clothing from unknown creators, but when I buy from well established creators such as Blueberry, I never demo. At events I am seriously picky. I rarely buy more than a couple of items and I would only demo if I didn't recognise the creator.

Well, pixel bumping has never been high on my list. At the start, eventually I tried it with a stranger at the beach. His name was...... oh I don't even remember. A few more came and went, but it always left me feeling underwhelmed. Now it's probably bottom of my list. I prefer decent conversation, and that can be with dancing, or even cuddling, but for me, pixel sex just unravels everything. And it doesn't bother me whether you chose to do it or not. I'm more concerned about where you shop.

I know very little about IT. My laptop suggested I upgraded to W11 and I did. It doesn't look much different, just the start up cluster has changed. Is there something I missed?

Taking photos. Socialising. Dancing. Shopping. Not enough time to do much sailing, although I have a boat. That's it. I just need more time, because there's so much to do in SL.

Amani have some simple non fidget stand AOs available which I use as my default.

You might think that in world friendship might follow from forum sparring. But for me that hasn't been the case. I have some old friends from the forum, but from collaborating with photos in almost every case. And this has created a strong bond of friendship, because of that simple shared interest. Shared objectives creates dialogue and cooperation, which for me works. But I understand that some people struggle with SL friendships. I think it helps that I work in a structure of communication, and I can talk about nothing all day long. ^^see? PS. A sense of humour is essential in SL, and just because you think you have one doesn't mean you do.

I only have 14 followers but they all have photo's. None of those monocircle unicap people. Na na ne na na.

This is a complex subject. I go with Rowan for the most part. If I ping a guy, it's because either his avi is art, or his profile has something in it which catches me. If a guy pings me, it's often just Hi! How are you? and that's the worst possible intro. Oh apart from "TP me", or "Come here now", I've had both. You know what? I'm actually busy in SL. I don't get enough time so I'm BUSY! If I get some chill time I'll be dancing at Franks/Fogbound/Muddys, or scoping profiles on a beach or in a club somewhere. Which brings me onto Scoping profiles. If I ping a girl, it's because either her avi is art, or her profile has something in it which catches me. If a girl pings me, it's rarely Hi! How are you? It's more likely to be that she likes how I look or has scoped my profile and found something of interest. And there's the key. If your profile is full of dodgy groups, attitude or endless quotes, then people will react to that. Even worse is total blank profile, a short time in world, and/or no payment details used. It's not rocket science making friends, but it can't be rushed. And when you get friends, don't expect hanging out daily or even chatting daily, it rarely goes that way for all sorts of reasons. SL is governed by lack of time in world, and timezones not matching up. We all have to live with that.

My planned SL budget reduction resolution blew after 3 weeks. My resolution to be more patient with idiots blew in the first week. Nothing else to fail on this year.

The residents who hold the key to the future are really those who didn't stick around after a short time in world. Those of us who are sticking around take SL as it is. We may grumble and nit pick, but we stay. And some of us love it.
