Studying that picture of the dumb machine --- it looks like the next new number chip that starts at the top is random. So it's probably still using a RNG so the chips don't appear in the same order over and over.

And that "MiePon" device is the stupidest looking thing I've seen.

And with the new "Gachveyors" some creators might only put certain items in it only instead of a vendor.

Probably because they want a cash cow. I was in a shopping group yesterday and they were talking about the conveyors and gachas and a few of us commented on how the new gacha conveyor is also gambling. One of the creators go mad and ejected me and a few others from the group accusing us of slandering the new device. So obviously looks like some creators will only put stuff and outfits in that dumb thing instead of a vendor.

A little update --- the person came in to service our Lotto machine and VLTs and I showed him the print out and explained SL to him too. He has seen that type of mechanism before and is considered a gambling device since the next items up is random and maybe cause a player to keep feeding it to get the item they want. He said it's also possible the programming could make certain numbers on it could appear seldomly. The guy is from Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (aka SLGA). Linden staff might want to bring that to the legal team and shouldn't be approved.

Like our RL bar. We can limit or stop serving to someone who is obviously intoxicated. We also have signs up with phone #s for alcohol addiction. About 20% don't get any booze as they come to listen to the music we feature there --- either live performers or the DJs and/or play the VLTs (Video Lottery Terminals) in the back licenced by the province.

I printed out the post that featured that device and going to show it to the person who services the Lotto machine in our bar. He had to take specialized training regarding gambling rules and such and see if he has opinions on the conveyor.

That machine is still gambling as the numbers coming up could be random. Like the gachas it needs to be banned too. I can see that thing milking players.

Hopefully Linden Lab will nip that one in the bud.

The creators of those need to simply go by the tried and true vendors and give up on those shenanigans.

I was in world yesterday and one of the MM groups was chatting about the ban. Many said they were glad the gachas getting 86ed and one of the creators got mad and called them names. No explaining how the Lab has to follow regulations and was forced to enact the ban. Found out the the person was a creator who was very upset and on his machines, he only made 1 rare of his products.

Gachas got the boot. Let's move on.
