  1. This way to the Help Desk: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/.
  2. There is another thread about that. Same with some parks now. Saw a sign at a public park "Do to music regulations, no sound devices playing copyrighted music." And some of us oldies remember taking a transistor radio to the beach in the ancient days.
  3. Then we got the Lindo thing --- which causes a lag fest in many places. As for the questionable item, the Lab should look into that.
  4. Many places have put restrictions on those just inboarding due to griefing. Too many time some who got banned would make a new avie and come back to the location to harass, usually a club. It's sad those who griefed ruined it for all inboardies.
  5. A few years ago we lost a performer who played at my club in world. He was coming back into SL and was working on booking him back on the club's schedule. When I logged in one day a friend PMed me he was gone and there was a tribute going on for him. He was about to do a show and after he logged in he passed. His avie was there for a couple of days until his wife shut his PC off. He is sorely missed.
  6. Some genres lend themselves to mixing --- but most songs best left untouched. A few times my man done a Disco theme at a venue and he would segue the songs in the style that it was done in the old days.
  7. I agree. Always blame Linden Lab. Kristin handled the other thread professionally. I'm a moderator on another board and would've done the same thing.
  8. When my man DJed at one club he would play mainly classic Rock and Blues which was their theme --- but since we have a very large music library he would dig into the vault for stuff rarely played in world or even on the radio. Also since we originally grew up in the Michigan area ages ago they stream was styled after a long gone radio station, Keener 13. That's happened to my man too, especially by the owner of the club when a song from an artist who did not support a certain former political leader.
  9. Who's to say the special webpage don't load viruses and stuff into your machine?
  10. I remember when I had my club --- used to have one performer bug me all the time for a gig and I'd turn him down. He was like 6k PLUS a percentage of the venue tips during his show. So far I think he was the only one I encountered that did stuff that way. I mainly turned him down since he's mainly karaoke and not play instruments.
  11. Sad to hear and condolences to his family. Seeing his age, I'm in the old geezer neighborhood. My friend who told me about SL eons ago emailed me earlier about his boss passing to the big Linden Lab in the sky and said he was a total gentleman.
  12. As for BUTT holes --- I'm thinking of a security hole in BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool) that live performers use to stream in world!
  13. Some will invest in equipment to make their sound good --- and those who use a phone. When I ran my club I fired a new "performer" who's phone died and couldn't finish his show. I asked why he couldn't do it acoustic, I got a PM say "I only sing into my phone."
  14. Before I sold my club to someone else --- I had a couple of performers that were paid a fee from me. One wasn't as he was there for fun. He since left SL for family. I had suspensions of one performer playing a prerecorded track I did an audio capture of part of his show in my club and one from a couple weeks later of the same 2 songs. They were IDENTICAL! That left such a sour taste for me. When I sold the club I did tell the person about that. As for the singers --- there are real live performers and those who do "karaoke" stuff --- singing to backing tracks.
  15. Some that try to push their religion on you. Like the one who's members ride bikes around to houses and ignore requests not to come back.
  16. Maybe a Mod can send this to the abyss! Period!
