    I have it on a test machine and fired up SL and another game. SL worked but the other game wouldn't since it's "Game Guard" hack prevention system hasn't be updated for 11. Due to the limitations I'll stick with 8.1 and 10 for now.

    I don't thing she was thinking outside the box. Someone in the group mentioned that her cheapest gatcha was $350. Most other shops were like $L5 and up. She was in it for the $$.

    I just saw a notice in a group in world saying they were closing shop due to gatcha's getting the heave ho and some in the group said just put up vendors and such. She said heck no and this is it for me in SL.

    My answer wasn't disrespectful. The ban comes down to a few creators (not all) using those things to take advantage of customers human nature to gamble trying to get the one item they want instead of a normal vendor.

    My exact feelings. You hit the nail on the head. I'll gladly rent a bulldozer to push all the gachas into a landfill to join the old Atari ET game cartridges. Best move Linden Lab has ever made.

    Sometimes there is NOT an option to buy from a regular vendor. I've seen that a few times.

    Have to blame that on the governmental bureaucracies around the planet. The internet is not a wild west as it once was and getting heavily regulated.

    Sadly that happens. How we lost a couple of Mods on the MS board. I use my best judgement before I lock a thread. I'll give a warning first and hopefully that will get the train back on the rails.

    I'm an admin on MS (multiple-sclerosis) mboard and we have an open chat area and a few times I had to put the breaks on a derailed train. But most of the time it's good convo. Currently some of the users and the Mod Squad are trying to convince the owner to keep the board as is. He wants to move it to Freakbook. There are many who don't want nothing to do with Zuck.

    They're not really entertainment --- they're there cause the creators know they know human nature will dump a lot of Lindens in the stupid things.

    The last few times I've seen a sploder in a club were still pay to play, but everyone gets something back. Sometimes in events a club will have something in their description like "Hot Sploder Action" or similar.

    Maybe get some volunteer Mods to help. I know a few of us probably wouldn't mind lending a hand keeping the trains on the rails!

    Great idea! Maybe someone can make a separate thread for the tax train. Some creators were using those things as an easy money making machine. They took advantage of the human nature of many who would keep trying to get that one item and end up spending all their Lindens on the dumb thing. Some shops went as far as replacing the normal vendors with a stupid gatcha. I agree. And like lootboxes in MMOs, they need to be kicked to the kerb.

    Why they need to be banned. Should've been done long ago and also should've been a 30 day thing here. Give like 3 days and boom-gone!
