  1. Generally, you want to overlay your AO map over your diffuse map in PS or Gimp and then export it into SL that way. You can preview it by exporting the file then applying it as a local texture, then every time you make adjustments just export it again. It will update in SL until you get the desired shadowing. Then you only have to upload it one time and it will be exactly how you want it.
  2. It’s still there, it’s called Soul Evolutions now. It’s actually a much nicer sim than before, but the same people go there. Can’t say I’ve seen any monster Avis show up there, so it’s been relatively troll free.
  3. Hey! If SL was made of spareribs would ya eat it? I would...
  4. I’ll give them both a listen since I’m here until 7!!! Old gods of Appalachia sounds lovecraftian...I’m definitely intrigued!!
  5. I love me some podcasts. I listen to them when I’m commuting to and from work, sometimes at home when I’m not reading on the weekends. Some of my favorites are: Lore: https://www.lorepodcast.com/ My favorite murder: https://myfavoritemurder.com The Left/Right Game: https://www.qcodemedia.com/theleftrightgame What pods are you guys listening to?
  6. I would like this three times if I could. I just bought acetone to remove my gel tips. Mama Mia....it’s going to be a job I just don’t want to do.
  7. I’m just going to go ahead and clear up a couple of things about unemployment since this is what I do and I’m working 12 hrs a day to make sure people actually have money to buy food and pay rent, because now I’m peeved. The additional $600 has not been paid out yet and it is TBD when it will actually will be. The current turn around on a claim is now over 21 days (3+ weeks). That’s 3+ weeks people are going to go without any income, the majority whom are now out of work by no fault of their own. People who...statistically are living paycheck to paycheck and a $400 disaster away from being in serious trouble. The average weekly benefit rate is about $372 in the state I work in. It’s also the highest paying state as far as unemployment benefits go. With the additional $600 that would pay about 30k a year, not 50k. Most white collar workers(Those who would receive the maximum benefits) are not unemployed, they are working from home. The majority of people applying for unemployment are blue collar workers( some of them will receive $200 a week), who legitimately lost their jobs. Nationally, it’s creeping towards 7 million people unemployed. Because some jack wagon said they are quitting their job because they’ll make more on unemployment than working does not guarantee they will actually receive benefits. There are laws that protect employers from this there always have been, and they still apply. Hope this clears up a few things about unemployment.
  8. Wasn’t the 2008 guide out of date by the time it was published too?
  9. Hair stores, shopping events, women’s clothing stores...really random places. Not to mention a little creepy, knowing he’s probably camped out there and you’re not the only one he’s doing it to.
  10. It depends, MP=zero lag. Crowded shopping event like Neo-Japan or Level=some lag, maybe a few seconds to a couple minutes before I receive the item.
  11. Sounds like I just won't shop at FaMeshed then! lol....meanwhile I can go to an event like Level and be completely supported wearing a Freya AND find clothes for Isis. Guess its a good thing I know where and how to shop, huh?
  12. Men also walk around with undiagnosed health conditions. That might have something to do with it. My aunt got remarried four years ago. New husband died after two years due to an embolism. She said, he “hadn’t been feeling well for about a week” just never went to the doctor. She left one morning to go shopping, left and he was fine, just a little ookie. When she came back in the afternoon, he’d died in the bathroom. He was 49. Of course she blames herself for not making him go to the doctor. Women tend to self care, take time off from work and visit the doctor more frequently than men. I’m certain it has to do with men’s tendency to avoid going to the doctor.
  13. I really couldn’t tell you, because I’m not able to log in right now. I was just passing word along since I saw it on Flickr. Since there are two versions with different noses and mouths, I can only assume this is a third variation of the nose and mouth.
  14. Free genus strong (not w001 or w002, special group gift) face available to group members today.
  15. Most likely, if you’re applying eyebrows, they’re on the tattoo layer. If they’re tintable, try tinting the tattoo layer.
  16. I pointed this out in the other older thread. I’m thinking the only reason you’d want to use the deformers is to wear old clothing for Maitreya that are pre legacy, since very few creators are going to go back and rig for it on their older clothing. At that point, it’s probably better just to have a Maitreya body saved just for those occasions and to just wear that. But if you’re doing that...why wear a legacy? whispers New and shiny.... You could argue it’s an upgrade for hourglass and Freya, for reasons, but you’d go back to not being able to wear your older clothes, this time with no deformers so you have to switch back and forth. I do have the body, if anyone is wondering. The only thing I can really say is an upgrade are the breasts. They are very natural looking, maybe the best out of all of the bodies. Everything else...sidegrade. The hud is pretty slick, similar to Belleza’s. So not really an upgrade there. Then you have to knock off points when the server for the hud doesn’t work (which does happen), then you’re stuck. There are fine cracks in the body too. If you’re the type of person that can’t unsee a neck seam, you’ll definitely notice this. Its a nice body, just errr, it’s not the end all like people are trying to make it seem. Sidegrade is the most succinct way of describing it.
