I have seen lots of missing houses on my journeys, however sometimes if I teleport elsewhere away from the area and come back, the house will be there again. Not sure if this would help everybody, but it's something i've notice.

Yeah, the wall I was referring to had a wall on 3 sides of the house(no gate in front, just prim wall), with the back(facing a beach) open. I personally don't understand why people do this, either. It's not like the houses around it were a mess or anything. As somebody said though, it's possible the person doesn't know of the setting so people can't see them otherwise.

Yeah, that setting. I'm sorry if i've offended anybody. I've just become a little overjudgy as irl I don't live in the nicest looking area(it's old and they don't take care of it), so i'm constantly revering the crap out of nice places on here. It's not right, and you are right, what's not nice to me may be nice to somebody else.. I just personally wouldn't want to live anywhere near certain things. Reminds me too much of why I never went for mainland.

It's not the bamboo texture that's ugly. The texture actually isn't that bad, it's just the wall.. it's kind of an eyesore. They perhaps don't know that you can set it so people off parcel can't see you(unless you can't there, which would kind of be a deal breaker for me). Maybe one of their neighbors will spot them and let them in on how to set it. I actually have seen that, too. I always figured it was a house change(can the houses be changed, or just the colors?).. That is pretty baffling, but they may also just not of moved everything in to place yet.

You all have such beautiful houses! I still have lots of looking around to do, but may have spotted 1 or 2 on my journey. I did also unfortunately spot a house with a default wooden prim wall around it. Edit: The wall now has a bamboo texture, but still equally as ugly. =( Perhaps i'll get Premium a bit later after they fix all the connection issues, as i'd love to have a second place to go to for when my main house's sim is down, or just a place for the "community" feel.

Yeeeah I don't think it fixed much. At least not for me. In fact, the disconnects have become even more aggressive for me personally. Siiigh. x.x I cannot cross a sim line right now without disconnecting. Edit: Log on > Teleport(works) > Try and cross a sim line via walking or teleport again = disconnect Log back on and repeat. This has been happening to me for 7 straight hours now and it's absolutely exhausting. At least before the restarts I was able to cross sims, but now I can't. This whole thing has me SO GLAD I don't pay for a subscription. I would probably be even more po'd.

The issue i've had with wl and Firestorm is.. holy crap, it's dark. Midday, when it's usually bright, is like twilight. (This is not every time I log in, but more than half) Also had the super crappy looking sky. And Windlights not working at all much of the time.. Can't convert back to region default without a relog. BUT. I'm holding out for that Firestorm update to see what happens. Gotta remember Firestorm hasn't been updated since EEP rolled, so it's a bit behind.

Have you tried looking at the store "Furry Fashion"? Sometimes you'll find pants made to fit certain digi legs, but you may just have to hide the thighs of the mesh body to compensate for it. Be prepared for raver and rainbow overload though as there seems to be a lot of that in that store.. kind of old school furry vibe to it. Unfortunately as I see mostly shorts worn by people with digi legs, the best I am able to do is point you in the direction of a possibility, which may turn out to have nothing at all. =( The marketplace may also net you something, but again would have to be made with your legs in mind. If you didn't want the complete digi look though, you could look in to one of the many types of digi "feet" out there. These generally start at the lower calf or ankle, so pants tend to fit much better if rigged for the body.

I was okay yesterday for the most part, but I also didn't leave home much.. however today i'm back to timing out and disconnecting when teleporting between sims, and sometimes crossing sim lines. =/ It's not hard to think the issue came on with EEP as even I only started getting these issues when they rolled that update out. It may not be related to EEP, but definitely something in that update. I've also been running in to sims on the mainland that are.. not there. The map says nothing about them being down(people on them even), and sometimes if I teleport somewhere else and then teleport to that sim it's perfectly fine and there.

Other than the mainland being mostly really ugly(I do enjoy visiting for the "time warp" though), this whole thing is why I don't rent or own on mainland. I'm a lady who likes my privacy and space, but I do see the points on both sides here.. it does come down to the fact that; unless LL innacts something for those flying over parcels(such as a height strip of "no ownership" where a parcel owner's orb will not work or they cannot build), then there's really not much you can do if somebody does their thing. I recently set my orb on my parcel to 0 seconds(with permission from my landlord; private estate), as my neighbor's 1 night stands keep coming on to my parcel constantly trying to find my boyfriend and I(without so much as a word, I might add). Considering we often stand around home in the buff, I want my privacy. I am ***** about privacy irl and in sl. But to ask.. Don't many orbs have a range setting? I know some are pretty vague on it, but for those who don't have skyboxes, setting a shorter range for those flying over(or sailing next to) probably isn't too bad if it's something you don't mind. Or you can go as far as to have multiple orbs to set around your skyboxes?

I have a hard time taking far-away screenshots of my avatar. The lost details bother me. =( If anybody has any tips for screenshots in general that they'd like to share, i'm all ears!(or eyes). I'd be much appreciative. ❤️ I know very little about taking screenshots of characters/avatars and have always been more of the scenic screenshot type of person.

I don't take many screenshots of SL, let alone my characters, but here's a quick bust shot of my girl.

When I think of "futuristic", I think the most.. I guess, semi-realistic vision I have comes from how the city in "Mirror's Edge" is. You see more of it in 2 than 1.

I really don't blame you, just thought i'd say what i'd heard is all. Hopefully the second creator won't be the same!

Sorry for the bit of necro, but I felt I needed to bring this up. I know at least one of the creators you're talking about with this(not personally, of course). This had been brought up in it's given group before, that it will be no copy, but you'll be able to redeliver as many times as you want. I think they said something about permissions or something messing up.. I really have no idea as it was a while ago. Also not quite sure yet how the second creator for these will work, whether they will be the same way or not. So you won't lose it all of course, you'll just have to get a redelivery... which can be annoying, too. Maybe best to avoid using them in laggy areas of the mainland, I guess. Personally I am waiting to see if Jian jumps on the Animesh bandwagon, their stuff is just too cute.

Thank you so much for this! I saw somebody once with a clicky over their head, and could not figure out how they'd done it. This is how. I will also read up on LSL as the other person suggested, though. I've only gone as far as lights in there.

These are not mainland, but worth mentioning. I personally don't know of many communities on the mainland as 80% of it just seems like an eyesore.. Acacia Falls and Cocoa Bay are pretty sizeable. Also as somebody mentioned above, Boca(i've rented here several times before; mixed feelings), and also The Grove(also rented here. Nice, quiet, but kind of up there in price. Also you rent month to month rather than week to week). I think the next place I will personally try will be Cocoa Bay.

The update just hit us today. It's heeeere. (at least for public beta access)

Thank you, I will see what I can find. I know Omega and Maitreya's lower and upper half have location differences for the textures/not lining up between the two, so i'm prepared for that.

Hey guys. So I am working on a skin for myself. My own shading and everything, however I use a mesh body(Maitreya/Belleza) so i'm unable to test it without being on the beta grid. My issue is i'm uploading tons of files only to find the thing I found wrong, that I fixed, broke another seam, and it goes on and on and UGH. Realtime updating would make this easier, but I don't know how to accomplish this as i've been unable to find any dummies or anything that work for it. This is absolutely EXHAUSTING. I've been working on just the top layer for weeks. WEEKS. I'm pretty much going blind here, and i'm only a beginner at this(texturing/skinning), so it's really stretching me thin. Does anybody happen to know any methods that will work for me to not have to log to beta grid every time I want to work on something, and also have real time updating? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If looking for mesh bits, you can find some all over the marketplace. Always check the reviews before buying to see what other buyers have found as potential problems, and see if they were fixed or if they would be a problem for you. Also see what kind of customization pieces have. If demos, demos are your best friend! Alternatively, if looking for more animalistic parts, you can check a store called PsiCorp. Warning though, as some piece there just look downright weird..

Maitreya has a kit in store to make skin appliers for the body, or as others said before you can use Omega. It's really quite simple either way. Maitreya uses the Linden body maps. I use Maitreya on my furry and human lady, and I love it to death. All your pieces have to be bought seperately, and all have their own ways of doing things, so as one said before, make sure you read up on them. I have no idea if the Maitreya body would work with the Kemono head, as I can't say i've really seen anybody using that combo. The link you posted may be the closest you'll get to a Kemono head, but many tend to use PAWS heads or the heads that just come with certain furry avatars. You won't be disappointed by using Maitreya. Sooooo many more options, and I see more people with furry characters jumping to it over others more and more.
