I think that most mega-stores, like Maitreya and Slink, are going to have to find a way to do updates after E2V closes. I the past Maitreya has just sent out new versions when you wear the old one and it phones home, but Slink send out notices and you have to go to a redelivery terminal so they have a bigger issue. Loosing store credit isn't the most important issue in my mind. Updates are.

You could always create a parcel within a parcel, if you are the landowner. There used to be a LL video on doing that, but I can't find it right now.

Balloon pilots. You wouldn't believe how many ban-lines and, worse still, zero-delay security orbs there are. I think anything that has a range of more than 100 meters should be banned by the TOS to react faster than 10 seconds.

Well, I didn't know that 'choose your own name' meant 'choose from a list of boring last names dreamt up by LL marketing'. Maybe they can stick it then. No way I being anyone but Anna, and chances of getting good name from a list to be unique with Anna are pretty slim. Save my dollars....

Me watches with interest, hoping one appears. Most of us have had to discover these things from using the tools in-world, and BTW we never call it a game. My advice would be to search this forum for posts by Aquila Kytori. There are others, notably OptimoMaximo, Chic Aeon and Chinrey, Aquila does the best annotated picture guides though.

I just had an idea, I could go for Anna Twentythreefiftyeight.

I had it on my land. It turned out to be a script running wild and eating all the region's memory. I kept getting LL to reboot the region, but every 3 days it would return. In the end I discovered the culprit in a forgotten Landscaping machine I had left running..... LL say that they are working on a more permanent fix.

I honestly don't care if I have to pay or not. I already pay a lot just to be here. What I would like to do is trade the 2358 for a nice surname. I hate the number.

Perhaps we should have a thread dedicated to wonderful SL legacy names that we've seen. I particularly liked 'Generally Offcourse'. I could be tempted to spend $10 on Offcourse - especially since I bought the helicopter.
