  1. you can indeed get in trouble. LL can and will shut down your sim, and ban all your accounts (you and the bots) from logging in, permanently.
  2. and keep in mind that setting teleport routing can interfere with some teleporter pads and other items that use teleporting to move avatars around.
  3. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/47260 here's the store by the same name for actual products. If the product you linked doesn't use the name without permission, should be the same people. Nice stuff, reasonable prices.
  4. Fusionbolt2000 wrote: If the chance is very big, how come there is so much of it? Simple, because people upload stuff that violates the TOS faster than LL can delete it... A dozen LL employees pressing delete vs several thousand SL users pressing upload, it's a losing battle. But it's a battle that's being fought, and if you buy from those uploaders you're out of money and out of product when it does get deleted and the uploaders are liable to lose their accounts if they get caught repeatedly. So don't do it, and don't buy it. It's ok to create something that looks similar, is based on, a real world thing, but it can't be an exact reproduction, especially it can't use the name, logos, trademarks, colour scheme of the real world thing. There are of course corner cases. Like the sailboat textured and named "la rie qui vache", getting around the trademark on the cheeseproduct called "la vache qui rie", or motorcycles called Darley Havidson.

Its common practice in Gorean RP and now to make a free man and a male slave as well Of course in most Gorean sims the slaves really run the place, the men are too drunk and the FW are locked up in their apartments, afraid to be seen in public by the drunk men who think every woman without a collar is a runaway slave
  6. Sephina Frostbite wrote: I have been accused of being an alt, it was actually my to RL sisters and I. So we were threatened to be banned from a club. We all logged in and started talking to different people at the same time in the club so we proved we were different people. I was new that the time but now that I have a few years under my belt I want to ask them, so what if I am an alt you still get my money the same. What does it matter? However the club was shut down. it matters to club owners because there is an industry in sl where people dump a load of alts into a club in order to manipulate sploders and especially contests. If there's 10 regular visitors, and someone drops in 20 alts (which I've seen happen) not only can they easily vote everyone else out of the contest and take away the prize (and by well timed moving between clubs, they can hit 5-10 clubs that way per evening, each for 500-5000 L$, pretty nice turnover for 1-2 hours of work a day), they also cause quite a bit of lag.
  7. no, the TOS do not state you can't call your avatar <whatever>Management. They ONLY refer to impersonating an LL employee or using names that are registered trademarks (so RL companies). Remember that falsely accusing people of breaking the TOS is a violation of the TOS. Looks like you're guilty of harassment, and of overloading the AR system with deliberate false reports, which could get YOU banned.
  8. Amethyst Jetaime wrote: I agree with Tex that a good many of the 'lesbians' you see are actually men in RL. There are also straight women who say they are lesbians so men don' t bother them for sex because even if you put you aren't interested in slex in your profile, some men take it as a challenge. And a lot of people wrongly assume that any woman who says they don't want to have slex with them must be a man playing a female avatar. That's a major reason for the idiotic assumption that 90% of female avatars are played by men (the other being that anyone refusing to cam or voice with you must be a man).
  9. Syo Emerald wrote: From plain population data of the real world: No, no they can't outnumber straight women. SL is not a typical gaymeeting point or something. I believe 3 things are happening here, which lead to the observations you made: 1. Behind many female avatars are male users. 2. Some women are curious. 3. Some women are tired of the often primitive behavior they get from male avatars and/or find female avatars prettier than the male ones. hmm, not quite so sure about your first conclusion that it's impossible. SL allows people to investigate their dreams/fetishes and do things that RL would be impossible for them because of social pressure, legal hurdles, etc. etc.. In many places being homosexual or bisexual is far less accepted than people think it is. While you won't maybe get arrested and executed for it (there do exist places where they do that) it's quite possible to lose your job (on a pretense often), lose friends, be disowned by your family, etc. etc. So I'd not be surprised if there are a lot of people out there with homosexual or bisexual fantasies they're incapable of exercising RL. Those people in SL have no such restrictions.
  10. actually, there is reason to prepay. Lots of reasons. Many rental companies, especially in highly sought after areas like Blake Sea and Fruit Island, will require payment per month, most others per week with a minimum initial payment of 2-4 weeks. And of course you may be planning to be away from SL for a while, say for a vacation, so you prepay for that interval. Or you want to make sure you don't lose your land in case you get an accident and have to spend a week or two in hospital, so you prepay. Better say it's never a good idea to sublet, instead rent from the estate owner so there's no risk of being evicted because the person you were renting from decided to make a runner.
  11. I know a very good solution for your control freak tendencies, bebejee: create your own group like that. There's a reason groups who do that tend to quickly die off, and that's because people don't want to have to spend all their time just pleasing idiots who think they can boss them around. We already do enough of that in our RL jobs. Maybe if you paid them, and paid them well (think 10k L$ an hour for 10 hours a day) they'll be willing to let you boss them around in SL.
  12. of course a lot of people will not restrict others as a public service. Think people living near public roads and waterways, who should not block passage for travelers (sadly a lot do, making sailing and driving almost impossible these days. Terribly inconsiderate). At the very least set a reasonably autoreturn rate, and monitor your land frequently for stuff that doesn't belong there. Installing a system that logs all arriving and departing avatars can help, allowing you to see when potential troublemakers were there.
  13. if you donate 9k of tier to a group, you're charged as if there were 9k of land connected to your account. This makes perfect sense as you don't control how that 9k gets used, the group does. Of course you might be the only one in the group who can control land for the group, but I doubt the system is smart enough to know that at that level (or to keep track of it over the entire billing period, rather than doing a spot check when someone tries to buy or sell land for a group). As to being billed to a set tier level without actually owning land higher than a lower tier level, I'm not sure if that actually happens or is just an ambiguous statement on the website, the situation arose for me only once and then not long enough for actual billing to take place. Could well be they simply keep the message the same based on the tier amount set in that window without consulting the database of owned land to see how much you're actually going to be billed for (which would likely be a slower query and might have other technical implications).
  14. had that one time a few months ago, turned out the texture I applied was interpreted by the SL servers to be transparent, but only when applied to mesh (I applied the same texture to a regular prim and it worked just as expected). I loaded the texture in another program from where I'd created it, saved it there, reuploaded, and voila, everything was fine. Changing the texture graphics format from png24 to png8 also worked when I tried that, but of course you end up with 256 colours only, which might be a drawback.
  15. A mesh surface is directional, has only 1 face. Looking at it from the other side it will appear to not be there after import. That is normal, it is by design (in Blender this is suppressed in modelling mode so you can more easily model, in rendered view I think it is restored). Either add the faces yourself (where needed because you can see them, or add a solidify modifier as mentioned.
  16. you can change the active group from an attachment IF the user has RLV active and IF the user is a member of the group you want to activate. One caveat: there are some restrictions on the group name for this to work. For example it cannot contain commas. The script is rather trivial, contact me in world and I'll help you out.

Just make sure that you're a "real" Native American... iow you're born in the Americas The term as applied only to a specific population group wrong, lol. Same as "African American". I know a white guy who fled South Africa as a student rather than be drafted into the army, became a US citizen, and insists on putting down "native American" whenever asked for his race (btw, why do that at all in a country claiming to not care about race, but that's another story...). He's more African than 99.9%+ of all those who call themselves "African American" because of their skin colour, yet some bureaucrat always seems to get angry at him.

I'm Dutch, my parents are Dutch, my sister is Dutch, my brother in law is Dutch, we all have credit cards. Heck, I've to throw away spam from banks offering me credit cards if only I open an account there regularly. If your ex (meaning you, yes you, you gave him the means to do that, meaning you're responsible) perpetrated fraud on your paypal account and paypal closed it, you only have yourself to blam for that. Maybe you can try to work with paypal to resolve that, which would probably mean paying them back whatever your ex (meaning you, see above) defrauded from them.
  19. if she can't find it herself, have her ask help She'll need to give someone trusted return rights temporarilly on the land for that of course, or get a Linden/CS person to come and help.
  20. mind that you may need to keep your PP account filled manually with dollars this way. If there's no USD in the account when needed, no clue what the LL servers are set up to do (or what PP is set up to do, they might just lock your account for "suspicious activity").
  21. and note you will have to do that separate for your viewer and the marketplace (and the marketplace sometimes forgets the setting when you log out).

What's in your private skybox is not what LL's adult policies are looking to regulate. If it's out in the open in a public space, like an adult club or such, then by all means report it if you must. If you're poking around in someone's private residence and stumbled upon them, well nobody likes the self-appointed morality police. technically, that's the written rule for M rated land, not G rated land. In reality, LL have better things to do than go around banning residents for having a bit of naughty furniture in their private homes on G rated land, especially as doing so would cost them a lot more income than they gain from the person reporting the issue (who more often than not is some lowlife without even payment info, a leecher who never pays a dime to use the services of LL yet sees fit to play all high and mighty moral police over those that do, then complains when LL has to resort to things like advertising on the forums to make ends meet. People like that are the reason my M rated homestead is set to group access only and hidden from search. OOOH, we've a few sexbeds and cuddlerugs, someone like OP would no doubt object to that (no need to go look for them, we've both upgraded to A and increased security even more by adding orbs over some of the land in addition to the group access settings). How dare you setting group access and orbs, don't you know the low flyers will crash now when they fly over your land, what a horrible person you are, you will surely be thrown in the cornfield for that would never do it on the mainland, but an entire region that's hidden from search, only way people will arrive there is either by invitation or random poofing around. Think of it as a free trampoline
  23. Jewel Laurasia wrote: My advice for hunting for them is to open map, look for large empty spaces, and a green dot somewhere in it. They are always on abandoned land, and all that I've seen are in large empty areas. makes me suspicious that they may be monitoring areas people are interested in for land auctions, maybe even set up to automatically monitor auctions and overbid anyone else (can that be done from in world? Or they can of course communicate with out of world bots easily).
  24. well said, which is why Lindex is set up to accept payment methods that handle those currency conversions and banking laws under the hood as it were, credit cards and paypal. The only reason to be unable to use Lindex is if you are denied a credit card or paypal account, meaning you probably either have a very poor credit rating/record or your country doesn't allow paypal or major credit card companies to operate there (those may exist) or you're too young to be allowed to get a credit card or paypal account (in which case you're likely also too young to open an SL account, and unlikely to have the money to spend on SL anyway).
  25. and oh, that has nothing to do with your premium status, payment information, or anything. It's a legal matter. transfer enabled items you can simply transfer yourself, anything else you'll have to ask the creator/seller very nicely (and quite a few will likely refuse, on account of them having no way if your story is correct and it being so easy to use as a ruse to get them to give free stuff to your friends).
