How to Ban would-be buyers from Marketplace
Jerilynn Lemon replied to RobinChristanCallaway's question in Abuse and Griefing
Okay, this is new to me. Something I have never given any thought to (no real reason), but am I to understand, if I had a shop on MP, I could simply block someone in-world and they would be unable to shop my pages? I would think that MP and in-world to be two separate entities. In-world shops (or products) being blocked I can understand. Am I understanding this correctly? -
Totally Official, Approved, Cat Thread
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Seicher Rae's topic in General Discussion Forum
Was going to post at 'what are you watching', but this seems to be the appropriate thread. WEIGHTLESS CATS (No cats were harmed in this filming though that expensive vase at home suddenly came up broken. One cat was overheard saying "shame that vase wasn't weightless".) -
If you are aware of who owns the house where the TV loop is coming from, go to (In Firestorm) World>Sound Explorer>find that persons name (might show as 'playing')>highlight the name>play locally (to make sure this is the right person)>Blacklist. I've done it a few times, most recently a neighbor had their quad vehicle at full throttle (and no one home). That sound got old real fast. Did the above and problem solved.

Bad review totally unfair jeopardizing my sales in MP
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Sam55 Dayafter's question in Everything Else
For starters, I recommend you rephrase a sentence to "Some days ago a customer posted a bad review just saying...". This is not a name and shame forum. I would reach out to this customer, be it through IM's and NC and offer to fix the problem (which you stated you did). Obviously, you can't replicate/fix the problem without seeing it first hand. If this customer is refusing to work with you, you can either move on or unlist the item and relist, perhaps with a different heading.. I believe that would remove the negative review. No idea on the ethics involved for I have never sold anything on MP. I'm throwing this out there IF the customer is playing games and refusing to work with you and you are sincere in your offer to remedy. Perhaps someone more familiar with MP can help you. Good luck, Sam -
Maitreya 5.3 BOM Glitch Under Breasts
Jerilynn Lemon replied to NebulaDarkMist's topic in Your Avatar
Maybe mislabeled? Is there a multiple choice option (different style body's) available or is the clothing strictly Maitreya? I've had problems similar before, so I just slapped another choice on my Maitreya body and problem was solved. It appeared to be a bit larger to the eye (if one looked hard enough), but worked well for me in that case. I don't recall what body style shirt I placed on. If you have that opportunity, try that. -

Marketplace looks like it is Zoomed way out
Jerilynn Lemon replied to kittykittymeowmeow03's question in Everything Else
I was just at MP and all looked fine. I'm using Firefox. I use Chrome only when Firefox cops a tude and doesn't play or do as I would like. -

Questionable MP item ..
Jerilynn Lemon replied to SpiritSparrow Skydancer's topic in General Discussion Forum
One hundred people live in a college dorm. Maybe seven use SL. Three happen to be in the same region, but their IP are separate, but similar. Is someone going to ban the parent IP, effectively banning a complete college dorm? -
Questionable MP item ..
Jerilynn Lemon replied to SpiritSparrow Skydancer's topic in General Discussion Forum
Has it occurred to anyone in this thread (not going to read all seven pages to find out) that two people, living as roomies or married, doesn't matter, could be on two separate puters in SL and are at the same venue, be it dancing, chatting with friends, what ever will show as a duplicate IP. Two people. Living under the same roof. Sharing a router. Same ISP (server probably 10-15 miles away, doesn't show physical location IP) involved with Second Life and at the same region/venue/event. Not unheard of. That does not constitute an alt is in the room. -
What are some of your favorite quotes?
Jerilynn Lemon replied to theorangemikan's topic in General Discussion Forum
Tucker is fantastic. He has so many quotes that can't be typed here without a series of asterisks showing up, especially from 'In the Loop'. My favorite quote would be from US Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, when he set foot on the Moon as the second person to do so: "Magnificent desolation". -

'Banned' while flying at Bellisseria
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Jerilynn Lemon's topic in General Discussion Forum
I understand that. However, I'm flying above them in a helicopter and not a U-2 aircraft, taking pics for national security. I don't care what they are doing on the ground or sky box. I'm just trying to get from point A to point B. -

'Banned' while flying at Bellisseria
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Jerilynn Lemon's topic in General Discussion Forum
I understand the timing ability, but for simply flying over the region, I was (lack of a better term) booted for an hour, assuming now they were referring to the original incursion. Simply flying over a certain area shouldn't support a 60 minute time out unless some degree of griefing was involved; over-kill if you will. The shoot down is enough to get attention. -
'Banned' while flying at Bellisseria
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Jerilynn Lemon's topic in General Discussion Forum
Both responses tell me something I hadn't thought before. Just the same, if someone has a home at Bellisseria and uses an orb, please (for the sake of the kittens) set up to allow one to fly over and not shoot down/send home. It's the precise reason I would stay away from Mainland. Got to be a mine field flying there. -
For the most part, I can fly at Belli with minimal problems. I encounter an occasional security orb asking that I leave the area in 10-15 seconds or I'll be sent home. I just maintain proper heading and not think about it. Today, a new concept popped up. I flew from the house to the Bellisseria fairgrounds. It's a nice trip to just get up in the clouds and look at the homes below. The outbound was text book. Flying home is where I encountered an orb that had a message I have never seen before. [2021/05/12 17:27:26] LH - Security System // V2.3.1: You are in a restricted area. Please leave within 15 seconds. As I mentioned, I kept going and not giving it any thought. The next message shot me out of the air. [2021/05/12 17:29:02] Second Life: You have been banned for 60 minutes I was well past the original orb warning. I have never seen a 'ban' notice while flying at Belli before (or anywhere else). I was sent back home. [2021/05/12 17:30:10] Second Life: Teleport completed from http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fielders Choice/55/58/51 Can orb notices be set up to appear to be from SL? I was still in-world for a few minutes and then signed out and back in. Nope, no 'ban' here. I love flying at Belli for the majority of residents have an idea that some people may fly over their region and have absolutely no interest in entering their homes. 10-15 seconds is plenty of time to clear airspace.

I get Abuse Reported by someone
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Mikkoto Takeda's question in Abuse and Griefing
I went with a singular action. The OP "asked someone to buy my stuffs...she had no tolerant to me...". If it was just one person, I'll stand with what I typed. If it was a group member thing, well, that is a major NO-NO. If it gets to be a nuisance, the Lab can take action. I'm giving the OP the benefit. -
I get Abuse Reported by someone
Jerilynn Lemon replied to Mikkoto Takeda's question in Abuse and Griefing
No worries. If all you did was ask someone if they were interested in your wares, I wouldn't count that as spamming. If the person had kittens over that request, then perhaps they need to step away from the keyboard and get some air. You may consider opening a Market Place shop to sell what you have. No guarantees how they will move, fast or slow (the Market is rather large...competition). If you are looking to earn L$'s, offer services (create for instance). Maybe partake in games the Lab has that rewards participants with L$s. As for the spamming complaint, go about your business. The Lab will consider it a resident to resident problem. They generally stay away from those. -
NFT, the ultimate gacha. Spend an obscene amount of money for an item of one. No copy or mod. Can transfer for what ever the market can stand. Downside, the original creator gets a % of the sale. Gotta love it.
