  1. This is a really nice set. I have it from when it was new. I "think" it was a gacha? as there was a RARE piece of wall deco that isn't in this. Mine was a blogger box. I don't care tons about the food but the furniture and decor is definitely worth looking at. Artisan Fantasy via Wanderlust Weekend. Also a really pretty outdoor piece from Hextraordinary.
  2. In many (*not all*) the mesh will look better in render view in the software (this in Blender anyway). I suggest that either "overdoing " the brightness and contrast within the mesh builder software OR simply making more contrast in a graphic program is a much better answer, IF you turn on full bright then your item will look pretty awful in a nighttime setting. Typicallly full bright is used for vendor photos in stores to "simulate" lighting --- this from well over a decade ago. So do a few tests and see what you come up with. Good luck. Definitely not a natural look.
  3. I'd say that kitty has "swag" but doesn't appear to be terribly friendly. Everyone is different and has their own prejudices -- unfortunately. It may or may not hurt your business but really, I think you should be whatever you feel comfortably being :D.
  4. Yes, but the "other owner" for me was just an alt. That makes no difference of course. Before the cost of premium went up deeding land to a group (most often your alts but sometimes friends) was the cheapest way to pay your "taxes". It still saves but not like it used to. Deeding to group and SETTING to group are very different things. So the people involved IF it is more than one corporeal person should know the risks --- of course. There are some articles in the knowledge base.
  5. I believe the answer to that is that the land (owned by two different people) needs to be DEEDED TO GROUP and not SET to group (which I am guessing is what they did. That's how it worked for me anyway.
  6. @Scylla Rhiadra thanks for the poke. I don't have a studio. I either take shots in world at a pretty sim or (lately) use some of the great backdrops that you can get for almost free on the weekend sales. Often I just use the sky and water and sand if it is a more explanatory post. Long long ago (like a decade) a large portion of photographers and bloggers used "green screens" and then plopped the cut out of their avatar onto real life scenes. That never worked for me wtylewise although I have seen some really lovely heavily (HEAVILY) Photoshopped works that are extremely creative and thought provoking. I love shadows and happily have come to terms with EEP (after over two years in beta and Firestorms UI improvements) so lighting and atmosphere are a big part of the story for me. I have a new super hefty computer now with a 3070 card and can do anything that I want to do. Before -- not so much :D. I take my shots at 5000 or 6000 pixels and then crop and resize down to 1999 which is the largest a photo can be and not count against your Blogspot photo space. Most of my shots are basically raw shots, resized with a subtle vignette and signature. I do have some fun "painterly" tools in Corel that I use now and then but typically on landscapes. Most of the time I work on my sim but now that it is pretty full and I decorated for winter, I will be over at my favorite non-premium really ancient sandbox now and then as needed. I use Firestorm and Corel Paintshop Pro 2021. That's it.
  7. It is our very last color! Those that have been paying attention know that color to be: ORANGE. Yep, just plain old orange. This was the color that ended the original 52 color challenge and I thought it fitting to be ours too. Congratulations to anyone who did ALL the colors, same for folks that just did the colors they liked. It all works. Honestly I didn't expect there to be anyone left after a year so you guys did great. I have no idea how many folks completely the challenge on their blogs, but kudos to them also. Here is your swatch:
  8. No I didn't clear the cache, but maybe I wasn't clear before. I searched a few times with terms that SHOULD have brought up the item. Then (right after with no relog or anything) I did a MANUAL VISUAL search and found the item named just as it should have been in my inventory. If I could find it there "by hand" the search feature should have been able to find it with correct search words. That was my point :D.
  9. I am guessing you would be missing quite a few steps (including the need for retopology of a most likely heavy mesh object) in order to get the sitting cat into SL. There would be more steps in Blender and that's what I am going by. It is always good to have a basic understanding of the software as well as what is NEEDED for a platform before uploading. Not that people actually pay attention to that need :D.
  10. Just nothing that INVENTORY search is also broken -- and in Firestorm (assuming it is also in the Linden viewer). I was looking for some inventory last week and knew the exact name of the item (my blog credits copied and pasted) and also knew I had NOT deleted it. Couldn't find it with search. Suspect that the database fairy may have struck again but then wen painstakingly though my folders looking for it where it "should have been" and indeed it was there. I tried searching again using the exact name of the item and then part of the name (like "table") and neither of those brought up the item. I had suspected this problem for a long while but never bothered to test it thoroughly. SO if you are missing a particular item in your inventory (not a folder's worth, just an item or two) it may still be there. Just don't expect to find it with search. SOMETIMES of course you will find the item you are looking for. Very confusing.
  11. F Find or make the sky setting you want under SETTINGS (it is now an asset that can be passed to other folks or sold) and drag it over to the appropriate slot.
  12. You set all levels the same. Since we don't have details on your problem I am going to GUESS that you want "sky 4" to be at a level that interferes with another sky setting. You can't change the height from ground for the levels as far as I know -- YOU have to conform. I did just what you describe with no issues so it certainly is possible and easy. Maybe you need to explain exactly what you are trying to do that isn't getting accomplished.
  13. There was a long and big article on the FS blog explaining how you should save your Windlights before install the EEP version. If you don't have them on a abakcup somewhere YOUR PERSONAL ONES ARE LOST. Many of the previously included Windlights are still in the viewer (not all but many) and "soimeone" bothered to convert all the older Windlight settings into EEP and put them on the Marketplace for free --- so search for that if needed. Always good to read the release notes before installing a new program :D. This wasn't new news at all but if you didn't know you missed out. Sorry.
  14. I understand that. What I am saying = or trying to -- is FOR ME over the last decade or so the camera hasn't been doing that. My camera stays where it is when I get up and I see myself GETTING UP. It doesn't shift to the side or to the back. If everyone always HAS the problem (well not everyone obviously as I have not -- but if it is typical) then I guess it isn't a big deal. I have it now (I think) so that the camera only goes to the back of the head when you stand up. I remember that from the REALLY old days, just not any of the current past years. I have no idea what setting has been "fixing" that (in my mind) for me. I have everything done and packed up and I really don't SIT that often anyway LOL, so it's all OK. One thing I have noticed over the long years is that typcially we expect everyone else's SL to be like OUR SL --- which of course it is not. There are too many choices and variables for us to all be on the same exact page together. That WAS one thing in Sansar. As creators we knew exactly what our audience would see. That was a nice thing. It took away some of their freedom however -- and that was not so nice. Moving on. Shopping. Making snow. Decorating ===
  15. There is a current bug (and JIRA) in Firestorm. I noticed at the very beginning of October. Definitely problematic when building. Random teleports when you weren't trying etc. Camming and then touching sets it off also. So hopefully it will get fixed in the next release.
  16. Thanks Coby. I tested that quite a bit including the Linden viewer. It seems to be the best solution overall. @Coby Foden
  17. Well I haven't had to for almost thirteen years LOL. I just right click and sit in Firestorm with no twirling in back of head issue. I vaguely remember this ptonlrm from before the 3rd party viewer days. Guess I am very lucky or have some odd settings. I made a bonus version of the stationary (no animations) build and turned that into a wearable pose prop. That will be "my" solution. Moving on. I have snow to distribute :D.
  18. Thanks. Will give that a try. Currently "my" furniture is working correctly (I KNOW this won't last LOL) but I TPed over to the beach sim and tried sitting in a Nutmeg chair and my view was the outside of the wall of the house. The script didn't work in the Nutmeg chair most likely because there were already a lot of scripts IN the Nutmeg chair, but I did get it to work in my build. Very clever. But, now when you get UP you see the back of the wall so still not what I think of as normal behavior. Hopefully "normal" will come back to us some day :D. Appreciate you sharing!
  19. But does that explain why furniture that used to work just fine no longer does? And with the Linden viewer with absolutely NO changes except an EEP setting? I have never done anything fancy with my furniture and again, it isn't just my furniture and not just me and not just Firestorm, so I am completely stumped. All I know is that I don't feel that I can put it out for SALE in the current condition and climate. If there is a way to fix this issue for everyone then that would be useful to know. I am not good with scripts however so there is no way I can write anything :D. The same issue occurs for all uses that have tested and in at least FS and LL viewers (maybe others, not sure). Appreciate you taking the time.
  20. I can't find anywhere that things are working correctly :D. And I gave up on bug reports awhile back. I was hoping it was "me" so that it could be remedied lickety split. So I just did a workaround and that's good. The issue will likely get fixed in time, but just not in the time period that I need it for this project. It's all good. Plan B is more interesting anyway :D. Just frustrating. The link to the place where people tested is in that other forum post -- hence how they tested. It has been "broken" for everyone testing and reporting although "I" can sometime sit properly -- a now and then thing. One very helpful person even sent me a video of their trial. That was very nice of them. I have so very many things not working with my viewer (already in the JIRA) that this is just one more. But I don't feel I can put the build out for sale in the current climate so have worked around that also. I am good at "flowing around the rocks". The build I am working on will be out there for a few more days before set up. I need those prims for winter decorating!!!!
  21. The easiest way to calm your fears is to log in with the Linden view and see if your items are there. Most likely it is a corrupt file. It is always good to have an alternate viewer to check things against. If the folders are there and the inventory not there --- then most likely it is that small file you need to copy from one viewer to another. This is towards the bottom of the page Lindal pasted in. All that being said, you can REALLY lose inventory here. Many of us can attest to that. So keep that in mind. Also, and this doesn't have much to do with your issue. I did some tests last week when some of my inventory went missing and the SEARCH function in the inventory pane isn't working well at all. So don't trust that. You can search for things that are definitely there and they will not show up. I had many cases of that when my items went missing.
  22. That is typically done in photography software like Photoshop. You can use GIMP which is free. You take the photos of the different poses and then put them together in a collage. This can be either with backgrounds included or taken against a solid background so that the poses seem to float in the air.
  23. Wanted to add to this thread that I checked a couch that I made earlier in the year for Advent and then packed away. It worked perfectly a few months ago and now it exhibits that same 180 behavior. I can't see that this is "me" at all. I hope it get's fixed soon. I also tested with both FS and LL viewers. That's all I know. Maybe we will have a fix on the next server update if it is indeed that.
