Thanks that was helpful. I was only the USER. Even on my own sim though when I enabled the experience it didn't work as one; it merely gave out the items in the old accept and attach manner. It could be the abilities that I have RENTING the sim, but honestly what percentage of folks actually OWN their own sim. I tried on mainland lots also to no avail. As a consumer who doesn't know a lot about experiences when I get or buy and item telling you to add the experience I have never seen an explanation about what abilities you need to have for it to work. The sellers either just assume the purchasers know all about it -- or they don't care. Since "I" don't care either LOL it really doesn't matter to me. But still ODD to be pushing something that only works for a small it seems group.

In some gacha events that was very evident as all you had to do was read the description on the vendor. Seller got to set the odds on their own machines BUT "savvy" shoppers would know what the odds were. Actually those events had some of the best odds. It was mandatory to have one rare for each 10 (if I remember correctly) regular items. And anyone playing the machine 10 times got the exclusive (NEVER to be sold again) item. While this was certainly more FAIR, I don't see how having that info solved anything. Maybe I am just missing the point :D.

OK, TY for the correction. Obviously this isn't a big issue to me LOL even though I retired all of my gachas. It really doesn't seem that long ago even though it was a fairly boring summer :D. BUT did we REALLY expect all the gachas to disappear whenever even the grace period was up? I certainly didn't. Anyone here any time at all knows that ENFORCEMENT is not a big thing for The Lab. I doubt that will ever change -- or at least it doesn't seem to be even with the new owners in the mix. And yes, I agree that the MIEPON by D-Lab is the one I would (and have mostly for a test) play. Unless they start canceling accounts of creators that are not in compliance there will likely always be gachas. Not "right" but not unexpected either. So the folks that REALLY want the gachas to go away have the option of reporting (weekly if necessary) the folks that are breaking the policy. I doubt that will make much difference, but complaining HERE isn't going to either.

Well the "policy" has changed to "no gachas except on the marktplace" BUT they also said there would be a one month grace period with warnings only. So we are in THAT part of the timeline -- as I see it anyway.

OK. That is in accordance since you KNOW what you are buying. The only machine I have actually used is the one that I think is by D-Lab. It is certainly the one that D-Lab uses. I haven't seen any that show you what is coming up NEXT and NOT what is there now to buy. Maybe the OP misunderstood?

I just use the old fashioned way that you don't like LOL. So can't help. SOME Avsitter chairs (etc) have a menu that let's you choose "Get Props" or whatever you want to call it, so it gives out the props when asked and then the person ADDS them when using the furniture. I typically make props that "call an animation or pose" which is REALLY OLD TECH :D. But hopefully someone else will comment. I really know almost nothing about "experiences".

Well then you are doing better than some folks. I just said that certain ones from very well-known creators don't work for me . The items I mentioned were made with paid version of AvSitter (I have that also -- the paid version). The had to be using the purchased version because there was no free version available when the items were released --- and once we have paid why would anyone download the free version *wink*.

If that is correct (and I guess others didn't read this carefully) then it does seem it is against the new rules as you have to see WHAT YOU ARE BUYIING as part of the legality. I would guess LL will figure it out an warn them. Actually the grace period is over now I guess. I haven't seen any of these machines so can't comment more.

I have that body from awhile ago and it looks good but it is very "beefy" if I remember and very difficult to find clothes to fit. There were some things sold for the body at the store that sells the avatar. If you alpha out the parts of the body need to "make things fit" LOL it will likely not look like the shape you were buying. This is a typical issue for all mesh bodies that don't have a large user base. There is also an alpha HUD (lots of tabs on the hud so wandering around is needed) that will cut out parts of the body rather than using or making alpha textures for the garments. I did a search on my blog and looks like I never found shirts for the newest version of this body (the 2020 one anyway there may be newer now). But here is a tip that might help. BE SURE AND DEMO.

Just wanted to note that some VERY TOP CREATORS are making things "for experiences" that "I" at least could never get to work on my sim by following the instructions. I am not a big experience fan anyway so I am happy to attach the old way. This has been going on for maybe four years for me now (long before AVsitter became free) so nothing NEW in the mix most likely. I guess if I really cared I would try and figure it out, but I haven't found any products set to work with Experiences to actually work JUST by adding the experience to the sim as advised to by the creators -- this from products I didn't modify at all. Not sure if this is helpful info but tossing it into the mix, but apparently there are a lot of folks that don't understand how this is supposed to work.

That's really not much info to go on but maybe contacting the person that you BOUGHT IT FROM Would be a good first step. My region got restarted today so it just may be gone for awhile. Wait an hour and check again, then write to the land owner. And woopeee I just checked and I FINALLY have traffic again after weeks

So I am looking at Marianne's bikini picture - WOW! AND thinking it is very much "this week's color" ^^. Hmmmmmm. Hopefully we have been having fun and not getting too stressed over being perfect. And yes, some colors (many color?) are really close. After all this time I am still not really getting Pantone's role in things even though that was part of my RL business sometimes. We each perceive color differently so there really isn't a right and wrong way -- in my mind anyway. This week's coming close to the last lap on our grand tour is : BRONZE. Since it is a neutral I pretty much like the color. How far away is it from Sienna? Maybe an eyelash, maybe an inch -- but it is definitely in the same family color palette. This is Week 46! Six more colors to go.

Blender is the most popular 3D program here but the important thing is that you need a DAE file format on export. There are tons of little things that you need to know too but you will likely find out. The largest texture you can have (in most viewer uploads) is 1024. You can have 8 materials per single mesh. The maxium size is 64 meters. There is a start. Have fun I have NO idea how things in Unreal will (or if) they will translate to second life. If you are making in Blender then most likely you will just use Blender for your work. Some folks use Substance Painter to make their textures.

Unfortunate some creators tag their items inappropriately so that you cannot filter them out. Other than reporting them (in the past that didn't work) there really isn't much you can do about that. Pretty sure it is not the coding. It has been this way for many YEARS. Not new news

Yes lighting makes a big difference. Some of mine have been closer to the swatch but then after getting that "really pretty lighting" part of the equation it isn't any more. I have a Windlight (now EEP) that is very neutral - no shadows and little contrast. I use it for building. It is about as close to basic lighting as "I" can get, but it is pretty boring for a photo LOL. We make choices!

Well chartreuse wasn't a winning color I see LOL. Kudos to those that found something. This weeks color is "Firebrick" Now we had "Fired Brick" and "Brick Red" and this is neither of those BUT should be a fairly easy to find color. So many reds. So many similar names. Don't worry. Next week has nothing to do with bricks :D. Getting towards the finish line!!!!! Doesn't seem that long ago that we started.

altamura has traditionally had some of the best IMO free mesh bodies. While there IS the "limited clothes" problem if he gets a few free things and makes an outfit he would likely be good as many men don't do fashion like the gals. BUT I just did some research and it looks like all (there were many) free full body avatars were taken down. The store moved and is very different (it's been that way for awhile) and it seems like they retired a lot. KEEP ON READING. @Feorie Frimon LOL. That looks great. I kept adding to my post there with more ideas. I DID just send you a PM but sure you will see that. Even with EASY there will be ISSUES -- folks really do overlook things VERY easily. Happy to help. That was what I was after *wink*. I am no longer premium so just rent but may rent some mainland some day. I have a sim so really no giant need. But I have enjoyed many years and oh so many places on mainland. Private too. To be clear (and it said so in the video) the FIRST LIST doesn't come out until October 1. So patience -- except for those wanting to join as a destination -- is called for.

Yes I found that notecard and followed both links but never found any actual "setting up the contents" in the kiosk. So someone that doesn't do that a lot or isn't a builder at all (hang out place maybe?) would likely be very confused. EDIT: Also as mentioned here in the post, instructions really do need to be in a notecard for the folks that don't do English well -- so that they can paste into a translator. AND since we know that most folks don't read even if they DO speak English -- a notecard that says KIOSK SET UP INSTRUCTIONS right in the kiosk pack would be "my" first choice LOL. The other thing that was very confusing for ME is that so much is about Operation Mainland. I had to search and search before I found any mention that you didn't need to be on mainland. It really seemed like -- because of all the mainland stuff -- that this was mainland only. You can sort of see this in that notecard LOL. So a poster at the office about setting up would be good. I could have WRITTEN of course but was trying to figure it all out for myself. I never did find the setup video, just the 3 minute passport one. EDIT: IF the set up video is under the big poster with the main video then I think it would be better to put that poster over by the kiosks as I just assumed (rightly or wrongly) that it was more of the same. If it would have said "setting up your kiosk" with white letters on blue or something "I" at least would have noticed it as being different. That's all I've got. Hope this works well. The avatar in the video is darling (and friendly looking) and the audio is very clear (old machinimatographer here) so congrats on all of that. I am a fan of mainland but don't have any at the moment.
