As a bystander to some drama a few years back, I know there to seemingly be no limit to alts. A spurned pixel lover began stalking his ex, and then the entire circle of friends began receiving umpteen numbers of messages from anonymous alts. That aside, I'm newly premium (last 48 hours), after almost 10 years here. I'm not phased enough at not getting a new home yet to have feelings over it, but I did get excited when the chrome extension beeped at me to say that the search term came up. I wasn't quick enough tho, and lost it. I'll just keep letting it run in the background till I finally catch one I think waiting lists would make it far longer a wait over all than it already is.

Oh man. The profiles with every pic dedicated to their SL love. And those partners who post narry a mention of the other. Threats if you mess with someone. Also the pontificating BDSM guys who reassure us he has so much experience in RL. Also, MC stuff. Those that claim to be hard core RL bikers. Just, no. Don't let me forget the verified crowds. By who?

"Well, I"ve had a nonstop 24/7 headache save a 48 hour time span since June- going on 7 months now. Since it began I've found out I have a likely benign brain tumor that is inoperable. My mother in law just died and the medication I have been on to try to fix the headaches (did not help) gave me tremendous stomach issues so I haven't been out of the house in weeks. But I know now I have cluster headaches cause by sleep apnea. How you doin?"

What is that about?

Well hi there! I've been in SL for almost 10 years now- and it seems almost all of my long term friends have drifted off of SL and I keep in contact with a few of them thru FB. I find myself just logging in and tabbing out of SL more and more - just habit to log in. Recently I've made an effort to explore mainland- trying to wander down the routes- there is some weird stuff out there! I don't work in SL because I can't commit to time schedules consistently. But I like to dress up and take pictures, and wander out to live music- musicians- not just karaoke (which can be fun at times). I live w/ my bestie on our own plot, but she is inworld less than I am. So hit me, drop me a line and say hi! I'd love to see my friends list grow with new people I can hang out with and get to know

Those are exactly what I derender when I first pop into a place.... Seriously. If this is what you want for you, for fun, to entertain yourself, go for it. Along with you "elite" one linden entry fee for the yuppies as you said. If it floats your boat, have at it. If it will make your second life whole and fullfilled- go for it. Personally I myself listen to my playlists on Youtube- but I've got Youtube Red so I don't have to listen to commercials.... Just don't be surprised when your traffic never picks up.

Yes! My 1st life tab gives my *stats* in a fun way without being precise that one reading it needs to stop & think just for a moment about, but it is there. And yet I can tell when I am getting hit on for a quickie based on the questions that come in..

Oh where to start with listing the oh so original questions & accusations that crawl into my box... You like sex? -no honestly I do not. Hiya, I'm *hoping* to find a mesh creator to work with to create me something for a club stage I'd like to have. It would be based on something from a real club in the 1960s that no longer exists. I have youtube links to share of it but really can not find any still photos. Please get back to me if you are interested.

I agree. I didn't have any inclination to say anything to them. It would be really shady to use that *upper hand* if one was to do that.

Well, again, I didnt ask, his name was an amalgamation of his RL name & he had the same RL picture up he has used on FB.

Okay- I have wondered for YEARS why some people have teensy tiny little profile photos when you click them to try to see them better because they're blurry. I never knew this! Thank you!

In the last two weeks or so, I've decided to overhaul my SL & I've been visiting different live performances. I joined several venue groups, but was struck by a few singers and joined their actual groups to keep up with them: Arrahh Resident, Harper Messmer, Say Imamu, Shannon Oherlihy, & Pete Mroz. Totally open to recommendations!

1. Do you keep SL apart from RL? Are you open about RL with people in SL? Do you tell your RL friends about SL? -I don't typically discuss SL with RL other than my husband who is convinced everyone logs on for a grid wide orgy. He doesn't understand the freedom to have all these clothes, and jewelry, awesome wigs & perfect manicures- that I could never afford in the RW. I am open to a point about my RL with friends in SL- a few are in my RL via FB, gift exchanges, phone calls, skyping etc. 2. Do you act very differently in SL than in RL? -I'm WAY more outgoing in SL. It no doubt is the perception of myself that I project to others. IMO my avi is perfect and gorgeous, and she is certainly more witty & humerous. 3. Do you spend a lot of time in SL? Do you think you can spend less time, if RL demands it? Do you think SL is addictive? -I don't think SL is addictive (for me) but I've allowed it to become habitual. Due to RL health constraints for a long time I wasn't able to enjoy simple things like a night at the movies or a trip to the park. So being at home, on the sofa with Netflix on & Pixie logged in on my laptop became a lot of my life, my way of existing outside my home. 4. Do you think SL affected or changed your RL self? In a good or in a bad way? -No doubt I've learned a lot about others ways of life thru SL (& lots of sexy times things I don't think I'd ever be exposed to without SL). I do know even if I don't like to admit it, that I allowed SL to take the place of my writing- I once had plans of being self published in the bored housewife romance genre online. 5. Do you think SL only relationship can be considered as an RL adultery? Can you manage both relationship without getting in trouble? -Clearly that depends on that SLers partner, and their understanding of their relationship. I know some couples come on together to swing and swap and explore separately. . They may or may not fill the other then. There are then those that sneak on while the RL significant other isn't looking, and logs without notice... we all know why. I think for those people, they would consider what they are doing to be adultery. For myself, I have an odd RL situation and I honestly don't feel comfortable slapping the explanation down here 6. What is the most important thing there is about SL for you? -Oh I could be virtuous and say "my friends" and of course they are important, but my friends list is small and I might go 3-4 days without actually speaking to anyone. So I think for me it is the Barbie doll wardrobe & sunny beaches and quaint English countryside ready for my enjoyment at the click of the mouse. 7. Do you think a lot about things that happened in SL when you are offline? -Eh, not deliberately- maybe if some drama flared up.

So I've been in SL since 2009 and had yet to knowingly run into any one from my 1st life. At one point, my brother's now deceased wife was in SL but we never pursued speaking to one another in-world (nor did we exchange user names). But yesterday, as I was engaging in my favorite SL past time, profile perving, someone posted in a relatively large group chat & I profile perved them. And they had a RL photo up, which I instantly recognized, and their username was a medley of their RL name- so that cinched it. I actually went to High School with this persons's sibling, and briefly worked with the actual SLer at a RL job about 20ish years ago & had for a bit been FB friends (but not in many years). There was a moment of absolute silence where my eyes bugged out and my jaw dropped. The only thing comparable to this was a trip to Six Flags when my upstairs neighbor that I only knew by friendly waves was walking in the park as I was walking out (what was remarkable is that we lived a good 3 hours drive away). Has this happened to anyone else, tripping across someone you know in RL?

I'm not posting/responding to be "mean" but you stated you play the game for hours and no one (you can't really speak on behalf of EVERY ONES feelings) cares about the possible mythos or story around the game- just the crystals that you turn into lindens. I hope your crystal to linden ratio is coming out ahead way more than minimum wage to be so wound up. TBH- there isn't much LPW has created that is IMO dazzlingly beautiful, and I make a point of looking at the wikia & searching out of the way places- in fact last night I was reading about the "creationism legend of sl" with the cult of Ruth Eternal & the loins of Philip Linden *insert Nelson HAHA here*. Maybe you can come up with an idea for user created content, maybe there are builders & scripters in your group of LR friends?

I spend a loooooot of time parked at home and usually wind up parking on a dance pole that looks so-outta-place in my yard & tend to put this on a lot while twirling around Do you wanna touch - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts *edit* added a photo cause I realized that is exactly what I'm doing (well I don't have music on atm but you know what I mean ^^)
