I Am Running For President Of Second Life 2022

As your President in-world, shall you grant me the honour of representing you, here is how I aim to serve you:

• Gather a list of citizen’s concerns.
• Delegate the items on the list to expert groups on each subject.
• Outline a plan within each group on how to:
  • Turn your concerns into actionable solutions.
  • Present these solutions at a meeting with LL.
  • No later than December the 1st, this year.
• Keep an open dialogue with LL after this meeting to;
  • ensure that everything you want implemented & improved;
  • will be done, so as long it is actually possible.

Here is what my constituents have come up with so far.

1. Linden Labs do not listen to their user-base.
2. Linden Labs need to handle problems much faster.
3. Sim charges are too high.
4. Approval of new premium home sims is taking too long.
5. Baseless DMCA claims are hindering innovation and growth.
6. IMs get lost during crashes.
7. TP crashes need to be fixed.
8. One open world without borders. (For sailing/flying etc.)
9. More attachment points on the avatars.
10. Better and more realistic graphics.

What would YOU like to see added to this list?

Are you aware that SL has a governance team?

Your #1 item is provably false. Those that attend the UG meetings know how well or poorly we are listened to. Why aren't you?

Your #2 - Are you aware of the SL JIRA? Do you know it reports time from report to fix? What is the average time for small bug fixes?

#3 - How do you know that? Are you Communist, Socialist, or free market oriented?

#4 - What do you mean "approval" takes too long? How long is too long? How do you know how long it takes on average?

#5 - How do you know this? How can you change it? Are you aware that DMCA is a RL legal matter and the Lab is required by law to respond as they do?

#6 - Yep that happens. What do you propose to do about it?

#7 - Do you know what causes TP failures? Do you have any idea how much work has been done on improving TP? How are you going to get it fixed?

#8 - Why do you think every land owner wants to be part of a single continent? Have you noticed that the Lab is already working to create big flying and sailing areas?

#9 - Tell us how you plan to add more attachment points without lagging SL to death?

#10 - Are you an elitist that wants to exclude people with older computers? If not, how will you improve graphics on older computes without lagging them 1 or 2 FPS?

What are your qualifications?  It's hard to imagine a person only 3 months into SL has the insight to be an effective representation of the user base.   What exactly do you need fundraising for?

Omg you're right! Just create a Group "Second Life Government", and Group Role "President of Second Life". Assign yourself to the Group Role, and wear the Group Tag.
